And believe you me we walked passed a many wineries but walking upon Magatzem Escola was a great find! Located in the Born District Magatzem Escola is a liquor store/winery. First off their ambiance is very cool casual with the staff well knowledgeable about the products they carry. Serious about they'r wine they have a reload able card you can purchase to taste test a variety of wines they recommended. What caught our eye was the random windows in the floor that you could walk on and look into the basement below. Apparently they hold certain tastings and pairing parties for members. We thought the staff was nice enough that we came back multiple times during our trip.

En total, el Catalonia Roma es una base perfecta para una aventura espontánea en Barcelona, incluso si la vista de tu habitación es más "patio interior" que "puesta de sol mediterránea". * * * I booked Hotel Catalonia Roma in Barcelona at the last minute. My room was snug--cozy rather than claustrophobic--and overlooked the central light-well, meaning my view was... let's call it "minimalist." But for the price, no complaints. The room was spotless, there was a mini-fridge, the air conditioning was glorious (Barcelona heat, I see you!), and the shower had excellent water pressure. To be real: I spent most of my time on the rooftop, where there's an amazing pool and some fantastic views of the city. Pro tip: bring your shades, because that rooftop sun will hit you like a sangria hangover. Located super close to Sants station (handy for both train hopping and metro excursions), surrounded by grocery stores and cultural hotspots, the locale is good. All in all, Catalonia Roma is a perfect base for a spontaneous Barcelona adventure, even if your room view is more "inner courtyard" than "Mediterranean sunset."
