This spa is the answer to my prayers fora professional spa. The atmosphere provides aesthetic pleasure, my nails look great, they honor appointments and do not encourage walk in's. They are friendly, pleasant and genuinely happy to have you as a client. Hugh has done my nails twice and in 20 years I have never had such a superior manicure. I was so impressed with the Spa's covid precautions. Clients and staff all need to be masked and clients are asked to wash their hands before choosing their nail color and starting their service. They did not overbook and spaced appointments so that they did not overlap, keeping a minimal number of people in the spa at one time. Kim was my technician and she and did a thorough and beautiful job on my pedicure. The music was nice and not overpowering. Overall a great experience and very relaxing. The only tricky part was identifying their location. I was looking for a sign that said Artistically Spa but it only says Nails and Spa, which isn't really an issue. read more

I was greeted with a warm welcome by the owner and the rest of my appointment was continued in that way! The owner is very gracious. I had a gel manicure and a pedicure by Tim. He was great!! The prices are well worth it with great service! I don't live down here but frequently visit my parents and this was my first time here. My husband who dislikes anything but foot tickles said it was the best pedicure he's ever had. They are kind, take their time and kind to elderly. No bad smells, sweet staff/clean atmosphere. Massage chairs are lovely. Be sure to make an appointment and to honor it by being 5 minutes early, so it doesn't put others waiting, or they cannot help you as they wish to do. read more

Had an appointment for a lash extension at 4pm. Was really looking forward to it. The woman who helped me made me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable barely speaking to me or greeting me even though I had an appointment. To make it worse once I got into the room she told me the glue for the eyelashes was not able to be used and told me she couldn't do the lashes for me, she apologized but that was it and I was turned away without anything else being said. VERY disappointed, I waited all day to be turned away. Super unprofessional and unwelcoming. read more

Wouldn't give this place a one star the woman was rude and juvenile. She wouldn't take the time to listen to me after I picked up my phone for one second in regards to my kids. I already washed my hands once, but from the moment I walked in she greeted my fiancé and I rudely from the start. I washed my hands as she asked and because I took forever to shut off the water and didn't want to shut off the water with my bear hands (infection control). I wanted to use a towel to prevent contamination. She said turn that water off, not nice at all about it, but yet she can hand me the sample of nails and allow me to take off my sneaker to see the color that was on my foot, but bug over the moment I pick up the phone to answer my kids. I told her I would wash my hands again after I responded to my kids but she wasn't listening. She was just horribly rude. She was acting very childish. Needless to say I would never EVER come here again and she was told that too!! Not important enough anyways to argue with or about! I didn't come here to argue or fight with this woman! Very meticulous, he did a great job. Took about two hours to get a pedicure and a full acrylic set manicure, so they take their time but make sure to do it right. They don't have many color options though. Three racks of regular colors and like 5 of those nail wheels of gel colors to choose from. read more

ummm so i had an appointment here with my sister and i got here and they said that we could sit down but the thing was they had 3 walk ins before us and they took them first but it gets better it took them an HOUR to do a FILL!!!! no missing nails or anything!!! my sister took even longer im pretty sure that they broke a couple of health violations! they used the same nail clippers and cuicitical trimmers on me and the WALK INS! NEVER AGAIN!! ugh unclean,nasty,and expensive! i am majorly disappointed in their work. my nail bed hurts so bad after this. not a big selection of polishes either. pedicure stations look even worse and i didnt even get one! they buffed my nail to hard and cut my finger and it bled on the towel and then she used the same towel on my sister. ew. the photo attached is 3 minutes after that said they were done. you can even see the cut weird black fuzzies were on my fingers for awhile and there was nail glue or something on my fingers afterwards. also of my sisters cut on here finger from this one guy .they were nice people dont get my wrong but i was unhappy with the service.2/10 read more

I have been searching the area, for 4 years, to find someone competent to do liquid gel nails in the Venice area. When you request gel here you get acrylic with a layer of gel over it. I am delighted to recommend Hugh at Artistica Nail & Spa. He did a great job with true liquid gel nails and I couldn't be happier. In fact, I added an unplanned pedicure on this visit and intend to go back for a facial too. read more
