Prior to that I was with 1 Dds who did "complete restoration" 7 years earlier.) It was so bad that the roots had become calcified. Unable to find and or penetrated by regular means. And he tried for a long time. He referred me out but I decided to check around. I chose MHEG after doing the math and reading reviews. But "Alex" solidified my visit. Over the phone she addressed my concerns and basically proved that this clinic wasn't just about the money. Other Endo's that I phoned said they would keep 1/2 the cost if the procedure was unsuccessful! Imagine that. Also the others were more expensive. The fees were discussed over the phone and if they couldn't complete the procedure they would take 350.00 which was much less than everyone else AND, that included x-rays and cat scans. Okay...that was Alex doing her job...by the way Marvel IYKYK... Went straight to the chair in an on time appointment. No wait. X-rays and then cat scans were done immediately. Then the consult with Dds Kang with Griselda by his side. He confirmed the difficulty of what I thought. There was no guarantee but he would do his best. ...and it was Friday the 13th! All work done under a microscope. Precision work and never felt any pain. I was asked if i was in pain multiple times. The only thing I felt was the success of each of the 4 canals being opened. I didn't say anything cause I wanted to be sure but when Dds concluded and explained the rest of the plan I understood that he managed to accomplish the mission. He will check it again in a few months to be sure there's no infection but I already feel the healing. The illness was released. Went from a massive abscess and potential tooth pull to one day later feeling relief from a huge tooth issue. Dds is amazing. Professional and confident, Delicate precision over the instruments he used to accomplish a successful root canal on a most difficult tooth. And Griselda was a pro. Her personality glows and she loves what she does. It's easy to see. I should also mention that she had every item that Kang needed at the ready the entire time. I'll close with the fact that cost matters as does expertise. I found MHEG to be a good combination of both. Just like my current dentist. They have forwarded their report to my primary dentist. I'll update as things progress but so far very pleased.

I've had dental work done in the past that's had to be redone, and have had my fair share of unpleasant experiences, even during routine cleanings. I've been so sore and in pain for days, unable to properly eat, from just a regular tooth cleaning - I used to dread those appointments. It was very simple to make an appointment online which was already a plus. This place is also about 10 minutes away which was also convenient. The front staff is nice, not rude or condescending like some other places. I didn't have to wait long until I was called in. I had X-rays done, and then the Dr came in and actually spent a good amount of time just getting to know me as a person. After looking at my X-rays and doing a quick exam, he gave me a simple treatment plan for one tooth. He explained everything thoroughly and answered every question I had. I was even able to get my teeth cleaned with Zareh the same day and he was really efficient and gentle - no pain or soreness afterwards at all. I'll be going for my treatment in a few weeks so I'm a little nervous but feeling optimistic. I'll have to update this review after treatment so hopefully everything goes smoothly.

During the visit, they only did a deep cleaning, and somehow one of my fillings became loose afterward. They told me the cavity was too large to refill and that doing so could crack the tooth. They also claimed I needed four crowns, with a total cost of around $6,000...even with Medi-Cal. I left with a loose crown and scheduled another visit to fix it. When I came back and said I wanted to take the risk and get the tooth filled instead, the receptionist told me they refused to do it. I should have confirmed with the dentist directly, but in retrospect, that turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I returned to my previous dentist and paid out of pocket. After taking new X-rays, he informed me that I only needed one crown and replaced the missing filling without any problem. The total bill was about $1,100. This place clearly overcharges Medi-Cal patients. I will happily pay out of pocket for my cleanings with my current dentist from now on. Their office may look nice, but that's only because they profit off people unfairly.

And the X-ray technician was okay not too friendly, but he took my glasses and never gave them back to me. I had to drive back to them so I could get my glasses. I don't have insurance, so after the X-rays they gave me a quote for $3500 for a root canal and crown. Okay...I don't have that money currently. I asked how much would it be for a tooth extraction. The woman told me $1000 and it will take 30-45 mins for the extraction. $1000 for a tooth extraction that's only going to take 30-45 mins?! Nah. They at least gave me prescriptions for clindamycin and Ibuprofen which I was happy about. Then they told me I was free to go, just for them to call me a 20 mins later talking about they forgot to charge me for the X-rays Idk if they're price gauging here or what. Their work is not humane at all and their office does not have a good attitude to respond. Use other dentists who will treat you with dignity and respect and will not take advantage of your lack of knowledge or poor level of English.
