It's a bit tough to get your bearings at first since the property is really spread out, and requires quite a bit of driving to get from place to place, where first time visitors (like me) are sure to get lost along the way, even with a map of the property. I recommend starting your visit with the visitors center, carriage house, and geology museum, which are adjacent to the desert and Jurassic gardens. I tried to get intel on best places to see blooms at the visitors center, but staff weren't overly helpful in assisting where to explore, so I basically grabbed the map and drove off meandering around the back roads, winding up at the Hanover House (super friendly staff here) and the Caboose and President's gardens (some blooms in this area). Despite feeling a bit lost while exploring and encountering very few blooms, I did overall enjoy my visit to the South Carolina Botanical Gardens. I would rate it as a 3.5 out of 5 experience overall, as much of the land on property seemed not to serve much of a purpose, and you really have to spend time exploring (and getting lost) to find interesting blooms.

Fast forward 6 years and my diploma is still in its case I received at graduation. I was in town to see a friend, which is rare since I live nearly 9 hours away and wandered back into this shop I had visited so often during my years as a student. I was helped immediately and showed a variety of frames. When discussing out loud which attributes of each I liked, he then told me that anything could be customized. He walked me through a custom order for my diploma. When I was done with my order, they even let me sign the floor! Once back in Florida, I was able to mail my diploma to them and they even called with updates to make sure my order was perfect. I received my diploma in the mail a little under a month after I placed the order and it was perfect! The packaging was secure for my precious order and was easy to open. The glass casing was etched with my graduation year and it looked even better than I expected! I had world class service from start to finish from Clemson Variety and Frame! I loved doing business with them!

This center is about 3.5 stars. The reason behind is the art display is just under average…read more However, this non profit organization by donations, I would said ok. It is unique to get into art center through the cover bridge. They have a lot small building for art classes. When we were there, there is a clay class is going on. The spinning of the clay try to take shape of the items they made. The main building host photographer class and exposition of the lunch cal artist. Not to many art pieces were display. The outside of the building does has larger pieces art sculpture on display. Some is interesting. The total visit is less than one hour. Since we did not take any art classes, cannot tell you much about the full center can offer. I think is worth a visit since you are there. But not for the set destination visit.
