The San Francisco RENT BOARD is prejudiced and biased toward landlords. Many of the clerks don't…read morewanna even talk to landlords and refer them the places that don't help landlords at all? The recent laws passed are all prejudicial due to the governor, the mayor and the Board of Supervisors, who want to maintain their voters from renters because there's more of them than there are landlords? In reading the laws, they're very difficult to find and understand in the rules?? And then when you do find them, they're extremely prejudicial toward landlords? Landlords can't even appeal without a penalty if they do? I hate San Francisco and what it's turned into and tired of being forced to do whatever the RENT BOARD or state of California says to solve the housing crisis which they should've solved decades ago, but spent their money on stupid other things. Now they expect the landlords to pick up the bill and do things in renting their property that make them like partners with the state and the city. As a landlord, I do not work for the city or the state to solve their problems. I own my property and have very few rentals. But I can't get a straight answers from hardly anybody at the RENT BOARD? And then they always refer you to a lawyer which I know I can't afford to spend $600 to ask a question and then the answer is not forthcoming. I think the RENT BOARD needs to hire some attorneys to assist landlords and tenants so they understand the rules and the laws. So I've come to the conclusion not to RENT anymore!

If I am spending money on a T-shirt, all $20 goes to the first responders. The tricky part is catching them when the garage door is open because I do not want to ring the bell and interrupt them from their duties. Also, finding an adult small is also tricky as most stations carry medium or large. The firefighters here were kind enough to keep the door open for me to buy a shirt. Typically when the engine is done backing in, down goes the door. This station is always busy covering a wide area including GG Park. Much appreciation for the SFFD for keeping the city safe!

Followed the instructions to a tee and still felt like it was not properly installed. I am so glad we followed our gut and reached out to CHP for a safety seat inspection. We spent a little over an hour with volunteer Frank Yee who not only inspected our installation and corrected it (it was done wrong!) but also taught us how to adjust the seat for baby's growth over time, how to safely place them in the buckled seat and how to install the seat without a base when we are traveling in other cars that are not ours. We tried to pay, donate and tip but Frank refused - it was the peace of mind we as new parents really needed and we couldn't be more grateful! Thank you Frank Yee and CHP!

Not many San Franciscans know this but each SFFD station has its own logo and they sell t-shirts for $20 to raise money for the station's fundraisers. In Chinatown, the logo is the Chinese dragon, in the Haight it's the Grateful Dead logo and here it's a cool logo number 5. The firemen gave us a tour of their new digs, the deep red, sturdy steel cages for their gear rather than old-fashioned wood lockers, the ladder truck and the District 2 SUV whose captain is on duty 24/7. I should've taken photos inside but it's nearby so I'll post more soon. And yes, the firemen are all good-lookin', it's that hero thang!

No hook-and-ladder can be found at this fire station, just a fire engine, rescue/medic, good-lookin' firemen, a chef, and one fire woman :-)! With the station just half a block away from my apartment, I hear the sirens every 10 minutes (when I'm home chillin'), but it doesn't bother me. Once I hear the engine coming, I drop whatever I am doing, run to a window to check it out. A few minutes later, I will hear it coming up the hill, I will drop whatever I am doing and run to the window and check it out...again! Some of the firemen are so f'ing sexy, I almost want to start a "fake" fire (a small one) in the apartment so they can come and save the day! Okay, maybe thinking about it is alright, but not actually doing it. If it's a 1st Alarm Fire, Fire Engine Co #28 is the first to respond and I just realized that is why the engine is out all the time. A fun fact: engines are staffed with 1 officer and 3 firefighters.
