On multiple visits, he stepped in and interrupted conversations I was having with staff, often in a dismissive and unhelpful way. It disrupted the interaction and made the experience unnecessarily uncomfortable. For example, I was asking about a hex key for my fridge handle. A staff member was explaining that the connection was worn out, and I was clarifying whether I could still get a key that fits the socket. At that point, Mr. Goldberg stepped in and said, "we're not doing repairs," which wasn't what I was asking. Similar interruptions have happened 2-3 times, so it doesn't feel like a one-off.

I called the day before to make sure I could pick up all the things that I would need to bring back home. I live in Maryland and we were hit with 6 inches of snow with a 4 inch layer of ICE on top. I will need to break the ice before I can clean my parking spot and front walk way. The guys at Goldbergs gave me advice on what i might need. As I browsed the store, I found extra gloves and that weird adapter that I've been looking everywhere for. Sorry -- Amazon, I would rather buy local! They even helped me get my things to the car. My wife goes into the store. She had on a long winter coat. She's always cold. It's a medical condition. There are no inside pockets in that long winter coat that she wore open because then she started getting hot. She was overdressed, which happens to her when she goes into stores they don't have the air-conditioning set to 60. This was literally yesterday. She went out the day before and was freezing to death because of the windchill. She did not feel the need to explain this to the men that worked there. Unbelievable! She bought some batteries and was carrying them around the store. A man whose name we remember, we don't need to mention his name takes them away from her and says why don't you leave them on the counter? She she knew for sure that he thought she was some kind of thief because she was wearing a long winter coat. We all have weather whiplash. This man would not admit that he thought my wife was going to shop lift these batteries. She said she didn't see any sign saying do not carry merchandise around the store. She also did not notice any baskets one can carry the merchandise around it. Then the man continued to argue with my wife about how long the surge protector cord should be, and my wife kept saying what she wanted, and he kept arguing with her manslaining to her that she needed a long cord when she did not need a longer cord and we have very good reasons that we do not need a longer cord! My goodness! Prices are not cheap, they did not tell us the truth over the phone and then this happens. So not so happy;will avoid in future. Then she had to ask for a receipt. We hate that; a receipt should be given automatically.
