I got a reminder through from Phoenix about my MOT…read more I am not willing to subject my car to these fiends. They racked up 1500 quid in charges and returned my perfectly working car in a wrecked state. Something that could have resulted in a very bad situation if I had not gone to another garage to get it fixed. They nicked several fluid lines while "repairing my car" and they were leaking. I remember sitting in the Phoenix Waiting Room. Sitting with other folks whose car had issues that had not been resolved. We should have stood up. We should have walked out. But they had us. They had our cars and were doing really terrible things to them and expecting us to pay for it. If you think about getting a car. Do not go here If you end up here with your car in their shop - demand your car and drive really quickly away! It is not worth it. They do not care about you and your motor vehicle. And they will wreck it.

When I first started looking at a variety of makes and models of car, it was Sylwia Karas's professional manner and her clear information and advice that brought me back and made me decide on the Honda Jazz. I was so impressed on the first visit that I asked for Sylwia on my return visit. She has taken me efficiently through to the purchase of my first new car, which I am delighted with. At every stage, from that first visit through to the follow-up communications she could not have been more helpful. A definite 10/10.

WARNING WARNING…read more For anyone thinking about buying a car from GLASGOW TRADE SALES I purchased a car from GLASGOW TRADE SALES on 14/2/18 with 3 months warranty! I have been trying to contact them since the 10/3/18 to report some problems I am experiencing. They hang up on me & don't return any calls when I leave messages. They also refuse to acknowledge or respond to emails. I now realise they have done this a lot to other customer's. After a bit of investigation on my part the warranty they claim to offer with "Warranty Wise" which you can clearly see advertised on all their current cars is a complete LIE. I have personally spoken to warranty wise and GLASGOW TRADE SALES are not an approved dealer of warranty wise and haven't been for 5/6 months now. They are liars and cheats please do not buy a car from them it's not worth the risk. Check out the reviews on Google and Auto Trader I wish I had before buying my car. All I can do now is warn others so they don't fall for the same lies I did. Please help me by sharing this with family and friends in the Glasgow area!

Recently bought a Kia Carens that turned out to have multiple issues. GTS do not answer calls or reply to emails or messages, I wonder why. I guess their 30 day warranty is worth about as much as their word. I have since had the car independently checked and the garage I use and trust are adamant the car should never have passed an not due to the brakes being defective among other issues. GTS never even bothered to fix the non existent handbrake despite falsely claiming too. Glasgow Trade sales will take your money then stick their fingers up at laughing you as you drive away. The matter is now in the hands of trading standards, VOSA and the police for the dodgy mot issued. Glasgow trade sales have f####d with the wrong guy this time. See you soon Dan!!!

Had to buy a new battery after 4 weeks due to the electrics running it down, had to get an inspector sent from finance company to check over the car who unfortunately did not find anything at that time even though everything was present. After a lot of money already spent and being told by this company that it's 'not their problem now' as I'd had it 4 weeks is just laughable. Now onto the 1st year Mot which cost £1500 needing glow plugs , new back box exhaust as the one on it had a massive hole in it even though I use it for domestic driving, not to mention the engine management and abs lights continually coming on. I have my local garage who has photos of underneath my car and diagnostics to back up it was a wreck before I touched it with wiring patched up appallingly, the whole underneath of this car and throughout the electrics were shot and this car had cost me in 1 year £10,000 with the £8000 car I traded in and the mot which I'm seeing nothing back for. worst of it is I still owe £10,000 for this heap of shit. DO NOT TOUCH THESE GUYS WITH A BARGEPOLE YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Not the kind of place you'll find yourself in unless your in the "i happen to have shit loads of money so go beat yourself with a stick if you can find one on the street you low life son of a mangy goat, now leave before i release the trained wilder beasts" bracket of earnings. For those amongst us whose first car was the same age if not older than them, then this is the type of joint that you will probably never set foot into, unless we win the lottery. So then, the best thing about This place is the wander by it. If, like me, you appreciate a nice motor and quite like a wee gawk at some nice old examples, then this is a good place and a great location for those who frequent the pubs in this area of town. Is there anything better (sadder) than having a few drinks, heading home with chips and cheese and standing (swaying) in front of a car show room for 10 minutes?? There is? oh. Anyway, got cash? fancy a nice old flashy car? Try this place out, just be careful not to knock the chips and cheese out of my hands as you drive away!!

After meeting several dealers who added to my used car dealer's paranoia, I finally decided to give it one more go with Stephen Hannah Cars. My contact, John Miller, was honest throughout the engagement and sought to give me the best deal and car for my budget. In the end I drove away with car that exceeded my expectations. I recently swapped out my BMW X3 (bought for 6k 18 or months before). I was offered 2k for my BMW (petrol 80k miles 05 plate black good condition - I had only just paid £500 to this garage for brake pads to be replaced) and I swapped it out for a Peugeot @ £800. Based on my using this garage for such a long time and the trust I believed we had I didnt take a receipt. The Peugeot has since broken down 7 times in 6 months between which I had an early MOT done and was asked to pay £460. After a few days of arguing only then did he he reduce the MOT cost. The Peugeot has since broken down again and trading standards are involved. Garage is telling T.Standards the Peugeot was sold to me at £600 NOT £800 so he, Jim can squeeze even more money from me. DO NOT GO NEAR THIS GARAGE! Disappointing and disheartening. No loyalty lost!

However, this does not mean that their customer service has slipped to the level of Taggarts in Motherwell... After several horrific experiences with multiple branches of Arnold Clark over the years (a business we won't even touch to get a spare windscreen wiper fitted in future, regardless a new car), we looked at Land Rover as an option and Shields as a dealer. Eye-opening. It's wonderful to discover in this day and monopolised age of car dealers that there is still at least one company out their that's not trying to rip you off and treat you like dirt the moment they have your cash (*cough*Arnold Clark*cough*). The salesman we dealt with was obviously hugely happy to be working for Taggert (and has been with them since they were Shields) and was nothing but honest through all our dealings. We got the best trade-in for our previous vehicle that we'd been offered anywhere, a hefty discount on the car after haggling, and he went out of his way to ensure we got delivery on a day that suited us just before a long family trip. After-sales care has been a similar joy. Not just "satisfactory", but "superb". Pleasant. Enjoyable. And full of nice surprises, like European breakdown cover included for life - as are MOTs. We honestly can't fault the buying experience or anything that's followed. Thanks you Taggarts (Glasgow) for restoring out faith in car retailers!
