Amazing honest, professional staff, Steven,Jose, And Jose, we moved from Austin to San Antonio, they were constant calling me during the moving, they brought me the boxes, paper wrap,everything I needed with better prices than U-HAUL, and Home Depot,they took care of my furniture like they were babies, no one single problem, or scratched, and on top of that the are insured so if anything happened to my stuff they will be responsible. They've told me they were going to arrive at 9:00 am to start loading and they showed up at 8:00 am.I cannot say enough of good things of these boys,they know what they are doing, and the best part they charged me at the end of the moving, they loaded and unloaded everything, asking me in which room the boxes where going,so my suggestion is that if you hire them, which I know you will,label every single box, IT WILL BE EASIER FOR THEM AND FOR YOU,even though at the end they did a walk through for me, taking care of us not leaving anything behind. I can't say enough good things about these guys! I had a third floor apartment move to my new house last week. Not only did I have the apartment, but I also had a garage with washer dryer and fridge. Alex and Rudy were my movers, and they make a great team! Big Al might be the strongest man I've ever met ... literally! He carried a queen sized 18" Dream Cloud mattress down three flights of stairs all by himself! Rudy on the other hand was a 5' tall bundle of energy. The guy never stopped moving! These guys were efficent, courteous, and professional. One of the legs on my dresser broke.... at no fault of Rudy or Big Al. When we got it to my house Big Al fixed it almost good as new. Rudy installed my washer and dryer, and Big Al also removed the doors to my fridge and reinstalled them. Hopefully I won't have to use these guys any time soon cuzz I honestly hate moving! We were planning to come home to Texas from California to take care of our move from Leander to DFW. Well, we are in isolation so we could not go! I contacted Jose and he helped us move our schedule up a couple of weeks!! I wanted to get it done soon enough to try and keep everyone from COVID-19 exposure. Jose (not our rep), Carlos, and Peyton came right on time, and met our friend at the house in Leader. They packed the remaining things we had not already done. Wrapped the furniture, loaded, and delivered to our storage all in DFW in one day!! It was a long day for the movers I'm sure. Five-six hours on the road, plus loading and unloading everything! Wonderful, very reliable company. My house sold so quickly I had to store my household goods for several months. The movers I worked with were friendly, clean, prompt and efficient throughout the process. As I started unpacking and settling in, I notified Steven (and sent pictures) of a few items that didn't survive the move in perfect shape. Estimator did a bad job and the crew came out with a tiny trailer, and a huge attitude problem. They said it would take all day and probably 3 trips, to which I responded the move is 3 blocks away and please just move things. They also refused just to do the big items which at their hourly rate would have still been a great payday. Unprofessional, not willing to work unless it fit their conditions perfectly. All right. This is my 3rd time using these guys! They are amazing! We requested Javier and Hector specifically. They moved me the last time and did a fantastic job. I wanted them to move me again because I trust them! It was raining on and off for the morning/afternoon of the move.. No biggie, bad weather happens. My first move I went with craigslist, hoping to save a few bucks. That experience was like an old Russian saying - "We're too poor to be cheap." Between bumping my things through elevator doorways until they fit (*note: glass doesn't bend to accommodate frames) and losing parts to furniture that can only be replaced by building a factory in China, those movers cost me significantly more than they saved. Now, I may or may not have made up the "old Russian saying" part, and read that inside a gas station bathroom stall somewhere, but the wisdom applies. Next move, I decided to turn to the ants. I thought their name was a joke until watching one of their guys heave a heavy queen size mattress up two flights of stairs single handedly. At lease I think he used hands, may very well have been mandibles for that feat of superhuman strength. I tried moving it alone after he left and succeeded in lifting it an inch then dropping it onto my kitchen table, costing me two plates and a lamp. Can't blame the movers for that one. So back to the movers - the hybrid ant-movers are courteous, efficient, and get the job done fast. They finished what could have been a 3 hour job in half the time, then offered to help set up the furniture. If you need things moved at a reasonable price by knowledgeable guys, look no further. read more

I'm terrible at estimating how much I have to move, how much I'll need packed vs. how much will already be in boxes. ACK. So Army Ant came up with a way to work with me ... they gave me the option of getting a quote ... or just sending a group over (at an hourly rate) and they will do "whatever needs doing" to get my family from point A to point NEW HOME. We had to reschedule a couple weeks in advance. They were totally accommodating. And the day of the move they showed up (on time) to ... a half packed house. These guys are GREAT!!! They helped me move from my third floor one bedroom apartment to my new house back in August. I've always wanted to be one to start leaving yelp reviews for places I use/visit (good and bad experiences) but I just never seem to get around to it. These guys were so awesome I had to leave one! These guys actually answered their phone when I called to get a quote and check availability. They have great customer service and actually care about getting your business. On moving day the two men arrived on time and got right to work. Jose and his coworker (I'm so sorry I forgot his name!) did not slow down or stop almost the entire 7 hours they worked. I worked right alongside them (I'm not so good at just sitting still and watching others work) moving things in my vehicle and we laughed and carried on the whole time. It was like I was hanging out with good friends all day. They seemed to really love their jobs, working with each other and they definitely know how to pack and cover things so that none of my items were damaged. I've had other movers make some serious mistakes. I can't believe how much they got done and the whole day was an enjoyable experience. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a move. Who does? No show I moved awhile back and completely forgot to post my review on these guys. Anyway, I had booked them to move my into a downtown apartment in Austin. I got the quote about a week before my move-in date. Seemed like a reasonable rate. It was $85/hour to unload a Uhaul trailer. I scheduled the move for early in the day because Austin gets extremely hot in the summer. They called me the day of the move and said they wouldn't be able to make it because they were double booked for another job, one that would last until the afternoon. I explained that my parents and girlfriend were in town to help me unpack. I was also in a time crunch to get the rented Uhaul back before the place closed. The guy on the phone was unapologetic but did offer to send 2 guys, possibly around 5pm. I declined because of time constraints. Going back, I had confirmation emails regarding the quote and appointment time. In my opinion, if a moving company will call and cancel on you last minute, then what good are they. Update: Thanks Steve for the feedback and I'm glad to see you guys are under new ownership. I'm surprised my review was word for word. I do not remember leaving one, but at any rate, I just wanted to put down my experience. I'm sure if you guys put together a good body of work, you'll do alright. When I called Army Ant I had to leave a message but Stacy called me back within minutes and was super helpful. For my needs (hourly), Army Ant turned out to be the cheapest of the bunch I tried (including Blue Whale and Mustang Movers). Daniel and Anthony showed up on time with a huge trailer that made fitting everything a breeze -- no excessive stacking and risk of damage. These guys did a terrific job!! They really took care of our furniture by wrapping everything and taking care around corners. They wrapped and put our TV in the back of the main truck - not the trailer. These guys were experienced, friendly, reasonably priced, and knew what they were doing. It was a down pour right before our scheduled time and a drizzle while moving. They laid down blankets at the entrance, so they wouldn't track in. They were responsive on email/yelp, but a little slower on the phone. I asked how big hey were and learned it's a mom and pop business with a team of about 8 to 10. We'll definitely hire them again! Since I wrote this review, our PODS began arriving in Omaha. We've had the two large PODS unloaded. I'm disappointed with one thing in particular. It appears that nothing was put around my washer and dryer to protect either. They are less than a year old - in fact, they aren't even paid for yet (cost: $2100; we got them 18 months no interest). They have a stainless finish. I love them. There are scratches on the side of the washer. The dryer has probably a dime to nickel size area where the finish has been scraped off (right on top). I am so upset. The guys were so good at wrapping all other pieces of furniture, I can't figure out why these pieces weren't protected. All of our furniture is all over our house right now. I haven't actually looked at each item yet but my husband hooked up the washer and dryer so I noticed that right away. I don't anticipate any other furniture issues because it looks like most things were wrapped with furniture pads or shrink wrap. Our third and final POD gets unloaded Tuesday. I hope this is the only unpleasant surprise. I realize it's only one thing but it's an expensive thing and it could easily have been avoided. read more

Needed help moving business locations on a Sunday. They were great in communication, from the setting up, quote, and arrival it was very prompt and professional. They took great care with many fragile medical supplies in loading and unloading, and were very expedient in their work...nice guys as well! I haven't written a review in a looooooooooooong time, but I have a reason! (there's always a reason, right?) We bought our first home in the fall and have been packing/unpacking our lives away for the last few months. We actually used 2 different moving companies for our overall move. We used Army Ant a few years ago as part of a move-in special for the last apartment we leased. This time for move #1, we used a different company and couldn't help but compare them to Army Ant. For move #2 (that involved more antiques and fragile furniture) we knew we wanted to hire Army Ant again. When we used Army Ant for our apartment, 2 guys came out and got the job done in under 1 hour. They padded the door frame, wrapped our furniture and were incredibly professional. This time 2 different guys came out (still just 2 total) and although we've accumulated more items over the years, they still managed to get the job done quickly while paying special attention not to damage anything (again, lots of wrapping of furniture, padding the door frame when necessary, etc). The reason I keep stressing that each time only "2 guys" arrived is because 2 Army Ant movers work more quickly and professionally than the 3 or 4 guys other moving companies send out that we've worked with over the years - (and as college students/grad students, we've had quite a bit of moves from apartment to apartment). I HIGHLY recommend Army Ant. As I've already stated, they are fast/efficient, professional, courteous and do all the things you'd expect a moving company to do (pad and wrap your furniture, pad the door frames when necessary, secure boxes and furniture correctly inside the truck (we've had an issue with this and other companies before), etc). If/when we move again (which I hope isn't for awhile), we'll contact Army Ant first. read more

I found Army Ant on Yelp and with all the 5 star reviews I thought it would be a safe bet. I wasn't at the move itself since I was out of town on business, so my wife handled the move. She said the guys were on time, courteous and very professional. They took care of everything great and we were pleased with the move. As for pricing, since this is the first time we've ever used movers I cannot compare. I can say that I took quotes from other moving companies and this one was the less expensive. The reason for the 3 star is because as we are still unpacking we are discovering all this damage to furniture. We have mostly IKEA furniture that was relatively new, and almost every piece has either a scratch or chipped. The worst was one of my favorite bookcases that now has a big chip in it, which is quite disappointing. I know IKEA furniture isn't the most expensive, but it's still our furniture and having scratched and chipped furniture isn't nice. To be honest I would try someone else if I had to move again (which I hope I don't have to for a long time). I would like to see if other movers would do a better job of taking care of my furniture. read more

The guys showed up within the time predicted (2pm-4pm, they showed up at 3), were communicative, handled my belongings gently, and even helped me set furniture up a bit because I have a wonky knee. The cost was under quote, and since it took less than the minimum time (2 hours) they offered to help me with whatever I needed for the remainder. My couch was very difficult to get into my new apartment due to the hallway, but they succeeded without damaging the couch or walls. All my communications with them prior to the move were also stellar-they got back to me quickly if I left a message and called to confirm the day before. Top notch customer service!
