This is such a great place to stay or camp and it kind of reminds me of Jasper National Park but smaller and with a lake that you can swim in (without freezing your #$$ off). It is very non-commercial with neat little shops in the town across from the lake. The beach area is a good size and the sand is nice and smooth. Not many big rocks at all. You can walk along way out too. I went to the end of the bouys that marked the beach area and it was about 6 feet deep at that point. They have some change and shower rooms right off the beach too. When we left Edmonton the mosquitoes were just raging bad and upon arriving at Waskesiu Lake we were very please that there were very little. I'm sure this isn't always the case though. We found a Disc Golf course and were going to rent some discs to play a round but some rain moved in unfortunately. We will try it next time though! If you are a golfer there seems to be a beautify golf course there. I didn't get a chance to check it out but we drove by it and it seemed very very nice. We also saw a few elk just hanging out on a fairway. The have a great rental shop that you can get just about anything you would ever need to have fun there. Lots of people enjoy watercraft on this lake. Tons of people waterskiing, tubing, etc. The beach was busy but not overly packed. It does seem to be a very popular place. We enjoyed out trip here and I am sure we will be coming back at some point!

I love this place every time I come. This time we came on our motorbikes. Great riding in this…read morescenic park.

We decided to take a little vacation somewhere close but not to close so we chose Waskesiu Lake in Saskatchewan. We had a great time there and came across the Grey Owl Centre during our stay. You can rent so many things there to have fun with: Bicycles, Quadrcycles, Stand-up Paddle Boards, Canoes, Kayaks, Disc Golf equipment, movies and much more! They also sell clothing. They have a pool table. They sell used equipment. So much to do! If you are staying or visiting and want to have fun check this place out!

The staff "accommodations" are filled with mouse feces and mold. I think Bentley hears voices so its hard to call him out too hard for burning me for a little bit of money on my last pay check, but still... If you need something from them to make your stay happy, just make sure no one else in town has it and check over the gear that you are renting as Bentley either "fixes" it himself or often gets someone else who doesnt understand to do it. 2 good examples of how serious this is-when I started, Bentley had gotten a young lady to inflate a kayak trailer tire with a compressor that was set past 100psi(that tire should have maybe been inflated to 20-30psi). It was the first time she had used one and was not taught how. She exploded the tire and her thumb and had to go to the hospital. Bentley fought any reparations and told her she was at fault for what she did. She was working the next day. Another employee was doing a photo shoot for the shop and tore a muscle in his leg. Bentley or his kid fudged the books to try and make it look like he wasnt working. Thankfully, I got a call from the government asking me for details about the incident a couple months later. It felt good to be able to tell the truth and Bentley had to pay the kid out for the rest of the summer season he missed. Little win, from what I would expect has been years of the same. Slow clap, Croziers. (All the hired staff I worked with were great.)
