Edit: This week I went to Western Garden Center down town, which is awesome! But I spent more than I would have at Loveland. I did buy a lot of our perennials here, but had to get a lot at Western Gardens too because Loveland just doesn't have as much variety. If you were doing a normal garden plot, you could get everything you need here. But we are doing a huge garden and wanted a big variety of things that were very easy to care for and good for the excessive heat and sun in that spot. If I wasn't so super picky or was doing an average garden, I would have done all my shopping here and saved myself $100 out of the $300 I spent at Western Garden. I spent $100 at Loveland and it would have been $150 at Western Garden....which is cheaper than some other places in SLC. So that tells you how cheap this place is! $7-8 for and average (6"??) pot, which is mostly what I got. I don't recall the prices on other things.

The reason for a 3-star rating and not higher is that the guy working there didn't seem to know much about flowers. I felt like he was part of the landscaping end and not the nursery side. He didn't know what types of flowers they had when I asked if they had some very common types of flowers. The bar code system didn't seem to work correctly and I was overcharged for flowers I didn't buy. I went back to have it corrected and he didn't know how to reverse it in their system. I ended up with additional plants that I didn't really need or want, just so I got what I paid for. Will I go back? Most likely. I don't know that I would stop going based on one employee.

I did not have a good experience here. My wife and I came shopping for Christmas trees here one…read morenight. The lady that helped us was confused and smelled of alcohol while another person just a seemed downright grumpy. The price for trees was more expensive than most other places, but I don't mind supporting small, local businesses. I do expect good service however, and I did not find it here. We also ended up getting charged a bit more than the labeled price. On the bright side our tree looks great and I was able to eat my frustrations away at Mo Bettah across the street. I'm no expert on Christmas tree shopping but I'm pretty sure I could have had more of an enjoyable experience elsewhere.

Most of the plants were fairly common and seemed a little on the pricey side, but I'd be willing to spend a little extra to support a local business. They had a few areas in the shop dedicated to other local businesses which I thought was fantastic. One area had glass made by Goose, another area had cute jewelry, and the other area had a natural pesticide. Our visit was a quick one because we had errands to run, but we'll have to come back for a coffee and a plant or two.

They are very knowledgeable and willing to help you understand what will work for your yard. They weren't rushed and gave us all the time we needed. The delivery guy is also amazing! He brought our rocks on the same day and he was willing to dump the rock in two different areas so we wouldn't have to shovel it. He was also very precise; he dumped the rock in our mow strip and barely got any in the road. This is a great, honest, good company. Highly recommend.

This store is SO cool! I completely had the wrong idea when I saw this store off of seven hundred…read moreeast. I thought this was a flower or actual garden store. I walked in after seeing the sale sign outside, that drew me in and I had asked if they sold flowers. The guy asked if I meant real, live flowers, to which I said yes those kind. The man told me no but recommended me to a flower shop not far in Sugarhouse. I thanked him and continued to look around. This shop had a ton of really cute home decor items, as well as cookbooks, cute gift items, discounted items, cute candles by the brand Rewind, which uses Wine bottles to repurpose them and turn them into candles, such a cool concept. They had a number of super cute items for the home, I was so impressed. There were cookbooks here I hadn't even seen or read and I am pretty much always on the up and up about cookbooks and most books in general so that was definitely inquisitive to me. This place is a hidden gem, period. If more people knew what this store was, and what it offered, they would be swamped.
