Totally unprofessional. Failed to respond to an email asking for refund of over payment on a policy; did not even acknowledge receiving that or several other emails over an eight (8) day period. Retaining money owed to someone is borderline criminal. read more

I responded to a mailer with low-ball rates. I understood those were only "estimates" so I called to get a real quote. I gave my information to John Armelino and never heard back. I called several more times, and they asked for the same information. I sent copies of my current policy and the wind mitigation report. Never heard back. Wasted several weeks. They were awful.....they would not call back. I tried 5 times calling them. I finally went in and spoke to Izzy. She told me that they are no longer accepting new policies. I told her why didn't you call me and let me know? She says oh I'm sorry. I'm so upset with them. How long does it take to make a phone call????? so obviously I am not recommending them at all. Kristi of Armellino I believe was trying to introduce me to one of their rules that says in order for me to cancel a homeowners policy that I must have a replacement policy. Now maybe I am misreading this "Please send your signed cancellation for your Olympus homeowners policy as well as a copy of your replacement homeowners coverage. Once I receive both of those documents I will forward them to the carrier for them to process the cancellation. Any questions please give me a call. " There is something seriously wrong with this picture as I told her I did not pay and will not be sending a check to renew. The absolute worst. They dropped the ball on my insurance policy and wanted to charge me 3x the amount for a new policy because of a lapse in coverage where they were at fault. Incompetent and negligent. I will be filing a complaint with the State Insurance Board. read more

Every time you call this company it's like the first time you called it feels like groundhogs day sometimes. They ask you the same question over and over and over again. I got a "one day call back a few days later and they have no clue who I am who I spoke to no record of any quotes. My opinion is they probably spinning their wheels instead of putting a quote inside of the system every time they talk to somebody they think they're saving time but in the long run they're having to redo quotes over and over and over again. I called Geico they knew exactly who I was without even saying my name they pulled it up on my phone number they knew the exact quote who is helping me and I was done within minutes. read more

OW! Communication is just like the first reviewer stated. Calling IS similar to Groundhog Day. Many people working, not many results! Following is an email I sent to John Armellino. Of course he never responded. What the heck is going on with your company? I signed up from a solicitation I received in October, 2017. Initially spoke with a Jesse or Missy who handled all info over the phone. Spoke with an Amanda who was doing the policy. Spoke with a Rachel whom I requested have Amanda return my phone call as I had not received any communication from Armellino other than paying for insurance. Amanda, when speaking with her again, informed me Rachel never gave her the message. Subsequently received cancellation letter from Gulfstream claiming they, well, claiming nothing other than they were cancelling the policy. I again spoke with Amanda who stated Gulfstream couldn't get into the community for a visible inspection (they never contacted me). I called Amanda, who claimed I would have a new policy with a slightly lower rate. She sent policy info for me to initial and send back. Gulfstream called to inspect, this time a Sheila showed up for the inspection. Today I receive a cancellation notice (effective 12/08/2017 at 12:01 am) from Gulfstream for non payment. I initially paid $698 to Armellino Insurance. Is Armellino absconding with the funds? Is Armillino reputable? Do I need to file complaints with The Florida State Insurance Commission, the Florida Attorney Generals Office, The BBB and Dept. Of Consumer Affairs? The communication from your company (Amanda has been trying, WHEN she receives messages) has been abysmal at best. I would appreciate a phone call from you. read more
