The Arl Advocate, since going to Gateway is VERY poorly run! My subscription was ending. I called SIX times to get them to send me a renewal notice. I finally asked to speak to someone "INCHARGE". She told me "oh I see he problem I.will. Send a notice right away". None came and my subscription ended. That was quite awhile ago. Then I rec a special offer to 2years for $66. I fiłledout & returned it. It was returned to me saying. " not available if I. Have gotten the Advocate in the last 30 days (which I haven't) and offer is over 12/14 (it is not 12/14 yet) read more

Your average local paper…read more I used to deliver for them. Circulation is wayyyy down lately. Local papers just can't cut it. Kids don't do paper routes anymore. They are too busy updating myspace or facebook. In it's hey-day, EVERYONE in Winchester/Woburn subscribed to this paper. I had my picture in it many times - what can I say, I'm a pretty face!!! Well, they used to call it "interesting".... that's the same thing, right!?!?!? Have you read this thing lately? Not much to it - not worth the $. Sort of a joke. When I used to deliver it - getting people to pay was hell. One time this particular house hadn't paid in weeks and weeks - it was ridiculous. They were never home to pay. That meant I paid their subscription until I could collect. When I finally got a hold of them, it came to like $100. They were pissed. They yelled at me for not collecting from them sooner. I didn't care. They owed me money and were never home. It wasn't my fault. I stood my ground - made the jerks pay up. Got a $100 with my name on it. And THAT is how I paid for college!!!! If you like that story and want to hear more, send me money! It'll be like I actually work for yelp or something! Why not! Plenty of people who work for'em leave garbage reviews, why not me too!!!!

It has an excellent classifieds section and job section as well. It has award winning sports coverage and interesting localized articles! I enjoy the mix of regional, local and national/world news. I also like how the Daily times covers both sides in an unbiased manner. The paper is 60 cents and can be found in a number of local establishments and convinence stores in Woburn/Winchester.

Bay Windows has been around for like FOREVER. I am so glad it has been there for me since I have…read morebeen out. It has helped me live, dream, and be an active part of the gay community. I still enjoy reading it and seeing who and what is out and about and what is popular and fun these days. I think we as a community would be lost without it.

Bay Windows used to be the under dog of the areas publications that many genuinely wanted to see it…read moredo well. Over the last decade or so, it has lost it's importance in the community. It is still a weekly publication, but a weak one at that. Their content is lame and is based on old tradition. It doesn't interest too many in the community as more people are turning to the web and other gay pubs.They just seem far out of touch.

Access TV is amazing! These folks provide opportunities for people to learn how to make their own…read moreTV show, and then the equiment to make it! All that at a very small cost, since it's a community-based non-profit. They just got some new HD gear, and they even have two professional studios and a green screen- so it's a great time to get involved!
