I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for a while week which working around the Wolf Lake…read morearea.
Upon entering, you'll notice there's 2 baggage carts for your bags which you can utilize to move those heavy belongings.
The counter staff were absolute gems, always.
Provided they weren't busy helping other guests or over the phone; they would greet you, which I don't believe is apart of their work description (I could be wrong is saying that) but it was much appreciated.
The room I stayed in had 2 double sized beds, nice clean white sheets, duvets, duvet covers and 4 small plush-comfy pillows in each bed.
40" TV, free wifi, partial kitchenettes, microwave, mini fridge, etc...
There's a fan/ heater located by the window which
you can program to automatically heat up or cool the room (mind you it's fairly loud and highly noticeable).
The washroom was small, but very neatly organized, with several body lotions, facial cleansing bars, small cups for water, and a hair dryer should you need it.
As for amenities, the hotel has a swimming pull with 2 slides, a hot tub & a exercise area (has a adjustable bench, treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, bosu ball, mat, sponge mat & a resistance cable station).
Personally, I never tried the pool or the hot tub, but the exercise room upkeep was above par.
The area is small and cramped, but yet easy to workout around.
They also offer a hot breakfast voucher which you'll have to retrieve from the front staff, every morning between 05:30-09:30.
Overall, my stay was very pleasant.
The walls were just the right density, noise by other guests were never an issue; which helped and contributed to a quality sleep.
The rooms were always clean and neat every time I returned at the end of the day.
If the Best Western High Road Inn hasn't been one of your go to hotels, do give the spot a chance; you might never tired of sleeping.
