My husband gave me a gift of a photography class from Taylor Alexander Photography this past…read moreChristmas. I was finally able to schedule it and take the class from Taylor herself this past March. Not only did she teach me how to use the equipment I already owned more efficiently, but she opened my eyes to so much more as far as the type and style of photos I like to take. Yes, this was a beginner's class, but now I have more of an overall understanding. I had been doing so many wrong things for so long. She is so down-to-earth and easy to talk to. I loved the way she explained everything in layman's terms in addition to having a great guide book she provided. She even offered help on choosing other equipment and gave me an example of what a photography release should look like. My only regret is that I didn't take the time to learn from her sooner. I hope to take her full mentorship class soon to learn more about editing and business. I would highly recommend taking a class from her as well as booking for photography needs.

I was in need of professional photography for business head shots. I put out the request and Mary…read moreRice Photography responded very quickly. Ms. Rice proved me quotes and available times. She was also very conscious of COVID 19 requirements. We scheduled a time at her studio today. Ms. Rice was very professional and pleasant upon meeting her. She provided me an area to change in and hang my clothes. Before she began she explained some of the things she would be asking of me i.e. head angles, stretching my neck, chin position, etc. Her explanation helped tremendously as she started. Ms. Rice has a natural conversational style as she works, making slight adjustments as she takes photos. By my own admission, I have never thought of myself as very photogenic; Ms. Rice made me look good. At the end of the session she showed me some of the proofs and then emailed all proofs for review. Because of the quality of her work I have a difficult choice, she has provided me so much to choose from. Ms. Rice' prices are very reasonable. The quality of her work is excellent. I wish I could give her more stars she is that good. I am recommending her to all my business partners and associates. Her contact info is available on the Thumbtack app and her website is: maryricephoto.com. Mary Rice Photography is an outstanding business.

Our photos turned out beautifully and I even booked family Christmas photos with Santa through her in a few months!

Some of the most important life events require a special and talented person to help capture those…read moremoments for you..... I discovered that such person when I met Heather at the Baptist Baby Fair a few years ago. I was blown away by the sample photographs she brought to display. Not only did Heather have her work to show off, but she has a relate-able personality and a calm presence about her. I had no idea how much that would matter until I was a crazed new mom with a one week old infant who fretted over EVERYTHING. Okay, so about 20 months later, I am still the nervous wreck of a mother, slightly relaxed...just a touch. But now, 20 months later, I have a beautiful collection of photographic art proudly displayed on just about every wall within my house. Heather is super easy to work with and you can tell that she loves being a photographer. She does it with such ease. When you have an 8 month old or more recently the 19 month old who absolutely doesn't want to have their picture taken, Heather doesn't bat an eye. She is so good with children, and the mommies too. She changes things up rather quickly in order to get the most out of the session. Her sessions are a combination of your home, her studio and outdoor locations, but she'll pretty much go anywhere you would like her to if you have something in mind. She has a wonderful selection of packages to choose from whether you are doing pregnancy photos, baby's first year photos or mommy and me sessions. In addition to infant/child photography she also does sessions for engagement, weddings and other special events in life.
