I have had an absolutely horrific experience with Arhaus - I should have listened to the online review I had read. To preface this story, two things: 1. I've never in my life left a negative online review - I'm generally an understanding person recognizing that oftentimess things are out of a person's (or companyy's) control, but at this point I don't know what else to do bu leave a review. 2. I've told this story to personal friends, and the general consensus is "this is such a wild story of incompetence, nobody online is even going to believe it is true" - I wish it weren't true. My life would be a lot easier, all I want is a couch. With that said, I'll try to keep it as fact-based as possible and leave out my emotions, which at this point are running wild given the situation. 1. After much deliberation, I ordered a couch in the August timeframe with expected delivery in December 2. Mid-december I called to ask timeframe for delivery. They assured me it was on time, and only a few days left until it was received in the warehouse in which time I could schedule delivery. 3. I responded with "I'm going out of town soon and would really like to have it delivered bore I leave, what should I do to speed up the process?" a. Their response was that if I padi the rest of the deposit, that would remove a step and ensure I got it as quickly as possible. So I paid the remainder of the deposit 4. A couple days later I asked for an update, but it was unfortunately delayed so I wouldn't be able to receive it until I got back into town after Christmas 5. After talking to them again after Christmas, they let me know that the couch wasn't built because the fabric wasn't available - not sure why you tell me it is going to be ready in three days when isn't even built 6. They let me know because of the fabric delay, my couch won't be ready until February. Fine, I'll wait until February - luckily I didn't get rid of my existing couch 7. In February I text asking when I should expect delivery. Apparently the couch is a few days away. I call in a few days, and they say it's a few days away. Call again, same thing. Eventually I frustrated and ask if they can please figure out what is going on with my couch. 8. Come to find out, they still don't have the fabric and the couch isn't even built. At this point I'm pretty frustrated. I ask for a discount and what my option are. The store manager says she can give me a 10% discount but will talk to the regional manager if they can do more. They also mention they can give me a "loaner" couch given it has been almost six months. 9. They also recommend I maybe choose a different fabric and say I can come into the store 40 minutes away to pick one. I ask if they know which fabrics they have available so I won't have a delay. They say they don't' know and they would have to ask about any fabrics I'm interested in after I come in. Why would I go pick out fabric if they don't know which are available? a. They mention that if I keep the same fabric it will be May until they have it. I ask how they know it will be available in May, and they say something along the lines of "admittedly, we don't" b. At this point I ask to talk to the regional manager, but they never follow through - nor did they follow through on getting more than a 10% discount. I get a "well the store manager is more generous and 10% is likely the best you'll get" 10. So at this point I say "well you don't know if any other fabric is available or when mine will be available, I'll take the loaner couch and wait". The couch is supposed to be just like the one I am ordering - a two-cushioned sofa and a chaise 11. Two to three week later they send the loaner couch. They have 5-6 total people...movers, store people, idk what else. They put it together and come grab me to ask if it was positioned how I wanted. I walk into the room and it is just a long couch that barely fits in the room. I laugh and say "this isn't my couch" and they say "yeah, we kinda figured" (given how obnoxious it looks in the room) 12. They are very apologetic and assure me they will get it fixed quickly. A few weeks later they come with the new replacement loaner couch. As it turns out, they sent the same couch because the "sofa" was mislabeled as a "chaise" 13. At this point I'm extremely frustrated, and the very nice delivery people are both apologetic but also understanding of how hysterical this whole situation is. 14. I spoke to the logistics person and the store manager and everyone just gives me the "IDK who inputted this, but it is wrong". I don't care - I just want a fu**in couch that fits in my house. 15. They call me later that day to confirm they sent a sofa and not a chaise...at this point I don't know what to say. Yes, you sent me a sofa and not a chaise...we wouldn't be talking if you sent the right thing. 16. They haven't been responsive. I don't know what to do... read more

The Crabtree store is beautiful and they carry aesthetically well designed pieces. Caveat emptor, however. Arhaus charges a non-refundable 50% up front and requires hundreds extra for in-home assembly, and though their brand is that of North Carolina furniture traditions, our media center was delayed for months due to arriving from China. Once it did arrive, after several frustrating unapologetic delays, it was cheaply made, badly assembled, and damaged. The quality did not match the cost. read more

I often stop thur on my window shopping adventures and I always make this one of my stops. I love the decor they offer. Every-time i stop in i'm greeted (sometimes) and asked if I can be helped. The items are a bit pricey BUT the quality seems legit and worth the money. Love this location as it grand central to everything around. I go to Arhus a lot but refuse to make a purchase . The customer service is bad, the sales people walk around watching to see who look like they want to buy something and they aren't friendly. But to those people who are paying over 2000.00 or more for furniture please do not shop at these type of stores. Because you are now moving in the direction of custom. And just because you can pick your own fabric does not mean you are buying custom furniture . Do your home work before making purchases at these chain stores. Just saying because I know. We've purchased 5 sofas in the last several years and they have exceeded our expectations. We bought the deeper more lounge-like sofas for our family room and tv room. And now my family will spend hours relaxing together including my large labradoodle. We really couldn't be happier. I have a more formal sofa in my living room. And it invites people to chill and chat while listening to the self playing piano. They have certainly figured out how to blend style with comfort! Also we recently bought sofas for our pool cabana. We were in a bit of sticker shock. BUT they are worth every penny. Again the sofa is so comfortable that we hang out on it even when we are not in swimming mode. Rating the furniture quality, not the service in the store. My wife picked out her dream couch, grey with buttons at a cost of over $5,000, more than any couch we've ever purchased before. So in our minds, this couch has to be of superior quality, workmanship & materials... NOT! This couch lasted a few months before the buttons started showing signs of wear then a few months later these buttons are popping off. We called the company and they sent a guy out to evaluate and their solution was to send all new cushions and pillows because ours was "defective." Well here we are again. One year later we have a couch that has buttons popping off and is garbage. I am not going to call them back again. They had a chance to make this right the first time and failed. Then they had a chance to fix it when we called them back out and failed again. If the person that I sold my 15 year old couch to on craigslist reads this review, please sell me back my old leather couch. It was $2,600 brand new and I sold it for $500. I'll now pay you double what you paid me. The lesson here is, DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM ARHAUS AGAIN! read more

STAY AWAY, their furniture is nice, but not worth the headache. Very frustrated by their deceptive pricing practices and customer service. Pricing practices are at best unethical as they have sales where the new discounted price is more expensive then the price they had before. We purchased a kitchen table and chairs and then came back the next week during their BIG sale and it was priced higher. Even though the percent off went from 25% to 40%, the base price increased so that the actual end price was higher ??? Not sure how this is legal, but I've checked several times since then and their practice continues. Also, PLEASE read the return policies and do not believe their sales associates. After we bought our kitchen set we went to return it within the two weeks allowed and were told by the sales associate that we should just change the fabric on the chairs instead and we would have until the new chairs arrived to return them. This of course was not true and when the new chairs arrived and we did not like them, the sales associate said we would have to pay a restocking fee. Escalated it to corporate and they stood by their lying associate. Cost us $700 to return. This is by far the least ethical company I have ever done business with and feel I need to warn other consumers. read more

Even RoomsToGo has better quality build and customer care. We bought an overpriced sofa- thinking $3K+ and made in America was quality. Less than a year later we had issues(I've had ikea furniture stand up to daily use longer) we open a ticket with customer care thinking it's a fluke, after all- we bought quality stuff. Two weeks later no response, a check in no response. We have to call in to complain, then all of a sudden receive a harassing barrage of unorganized seamstress repair folks who want to schedule an on-sight repair weeks in advance- literally months after we call in our complaint. I'll spare you more gory details but the quality sucks, especially for the price and if you need customer care- good luck. Seriously, it's good looking stuff to be fair but buy it from Amazon dealers qualities comparable for 1/4 price at least those folks are held accountable if they sell you junk. read more

My husband and I visited Arhaus in Raleigh today and selected a divided metal bowl ($89) and three Christmas ornaments--one with a sprig of greenery ($9 each). The person who waited on us offered to place our items on the counter until we finished shopping. When we went to pay, the sprig of greenery that was on one ornament was missing. Our sales associate said someone must have removed it. She finally tracked that person down and when she returned she said that if we wanted the sprig that we would have to pay three additional dollars for it. I pointed out that the sprig was attached to the ornament and there was no individual price tag on it. She refused to sell the ornament as it was displayed, and we refused to pay extra for a three-inch sprig of greenery. What could have been a $116 sale for Arhaus turned out to be a no-sale. read more

This review is for the second sofa we purchased from Arhaus in Raleigh, and for Arhaus "customer service." We've already contacted the store, who referred us to their customer service department. We sent pictures and a description of our issue. No response for weeks. We contacted them again and they told us that we needed to send our pictures in a different format. We resent the pics. No response and it's been months. We are extremely disappointed with this $3000+ purchase. We were very happy with our first Arhaus sofa purchase nearly 10 years ago - so happy that we decided to purchase from them again when we were ready for a new one. We've had this sofa for less than a year. Our complaints about this sofa are: 1) the fabric (which is supposed to be one of their very durable/cleanable fabrics) is getting rough and uncomfortable in the most high-use areas and 2) the cushions have become extremely lumpy and misshapen. We purchased a large 120" sofa, and it's now a giant, uncomfortable eyesore. So far, the frame is holding up ok, but when you spend several thousand dollars on a sofa, you hope that it's going to not only be structurally sound but also be beautiful. And WE'VE HAD THIS SOFA FOR LESS THAN ONE YEAR! Sadly, I think Arhaus has lost a loyal customer. UPDATE: I just took a star off. Apparently the social marketing managers watch this site for negative review, and they responded to the original post. I did as they asked and sent an email to someone else at the company. (I'm still not sure why customer service couldn't have just reached out to me based on the review, but whatever.) And that's the end of it. Almost two weeks and several emails to social@arhaus.com, and the only response was when someone emailed to ask if anyone had contacted me. The only people who seem like they're paying attention are the social media people who obviously aren't empowered to solve problems. They could not be trying less to keep a repeat customer. To anyone looking to spend your hard earned money on furniture from Arhaus, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. read more

I waited twelve weeks for my furniture and when it finally got here the leather was damaged. I didn't thoroughly inspect every inch upon arrival because I figured if I was paying over TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS for furniture that it would be in great shape. I was excited!! After the first day I started to notice a couple small spots where the leather was messed up. It looks like it rubbed up against something during transport. After reaching out to Arhaus I thoroughly inspected all of the furniture and noticed more damaged areas and two areas that they tried to cover up with a darker marker or something. There were deep scratches on the top of the backs of the furniture. We don't have our furniture against any walls so it's noticeable. I haven't even had my furniture for two weeks and I'm already starting to regret this purchase. I am hoping that at this point something can me done. read more

I'm giving this 5 stars because it's better than all the other furniture shopping experiences I've ever had. We spent a lot of money but got high-quality stuff. The designers we worked with helped us figure out what we want and even came to our house to help us decide on colors and styles. This store is expensive, but it's the best quality compared to all the furniture places around the area. I've looked at a dozen furniture stores and all other places are either: cheaper in price but junk in quality, or more expensive in price & similar quality to Arhaus. You really cannot beat this place for the value you're getting with respect to similar quality items in this area. Our items were delivered either on schedule or 1-2 weeks late (custom order). All things considered, that's not bad. I've heard many horror stories from all sorts of furniture stories and you just expect things to be late. read more

We did my kitchen family room and office the spaces are fantastic and exceeded my expectations. The delivery was flawless and when an issue arose with my coffee table they gave me a new one the customer service is outstanding. My wife and I were concerned about the many negative reviews posted regarding Arhaus in general and the Raleigh NC, location in particular. Nevertheless we did find many items that we felt would look great in our new home and decided to take a chance (given the prior negative reviews). We had a great experience! Matt Molinary is a very nice guy who helped us a great deal with design options. The order was placed but we could not accept immediate delivery because our home was not yet ready. We actually had to delay delivery twice and that was no problem. The "Conceirge" responsible for coordinating delivery was really understanding and supportive. Then came the delivery - that's where our real concerns were because of what we had read. The delivery could not have been better. The guys actually wore white gloves and handled our heavy pieces with great care. The furniture we purchased is well made and finished in a manner that are just what we wanted... couldn't be happier. Everyone in this purchase was very friendly, professional, and supportive. I know that sounds over-the-top but we were so relieved to find that our trust was rewarded. Perhaps others before us had bad experiences. If so, the people at Arhaus listened and listened closely. We will definitely be going back to Matt at Arhaus because the furnishing they offer are decorator quality, well made, and the entire sales process to delivery is as good as it gets. read more

I am writing this review after a negative experience with the Arhaus in The Galleria in Minnesota. Ordered a custom leather storage ottoman in December. When it was delivered it had two seams on top. The sales person I worked with never mentioned seams. The photo did not have seams. When I called to discuss my options I spoke with 18 Arhaus employees over a month period of time and I still have an unwanted ottoman. The store manager, the 18th call, promised to get back to me in 48 hours . That was a month ago! The best concierge could do was to offer to take it back with a 50% restocking fee. They claim the error was mine. I would recommend steering clear of this company. Customer service is poor. Room and Board is my recommendation to shoppers. read more

If you like sitting on hold for hours, paying out thousands of dollars for furniture you will never see, and then getting the run around about getting your money back, then this is the place to go. Like the furniture, but delivery and customer service is a nightmare! Delivery has had damaged items that were delivered hours outside of time committed to be delivered and now after waiting 3 months for an order with items that was in the warehouse awaiting other items on back order is now out of stock. No one can explain how this has happened, as well as how to rectify it. Just told I have to wait 2 more weeks for the item to come in, then up to another 5 days for delivery. Additional new challenge is the delivery date they quoted is the date sent to a 3rd party, not the date I was to receive delivery. Plus the delivery truck is an enterprise rental truck which may not be comfortable for some. read more

I ordered multiple pieces of furniture (desk, bench, chair and ottoman) from Arhaus in Sept and was told it would take 8-12 weeks to receive all pieces since the leather chair and ottoman was a special order. Like Stormy I, I was never given any information that the item was delayed and when I called each week in Dec to get additional information, I was never greeted with positive customer service. Wes never returned my calls. I still do not have any of my furniture and am told now that the leather for the chair/ottoman will not arrive to the warehouse until the end of December and then they still have to make the chair. I am very frustrated with the lack of communication from Wes and Arhaus on the status of my order and have talked to customer service about the situation. They have also told me there is no sort of compensation they can give us for this delay. I find this completely unacceptable and will not be buying any more furniture from their store. I will also be letting all my friends know about the poor customer service I received and urge them not to shop there. Yes, Arhaus does have beautiful furniture and Wes made us feel special while we were in the store but it seems that once you are out of the store and your money is spent, they no longer have a care for the customer. read more

I have bought several pieces of furniture at this place over the past years with Donna and and have to say that i have experienced an amazing customer service. We bought a dining table (zinc alloy table top) that gave us a few troubles as overtime it started peeling. I was about to use our protection plan but it wouldn't cover that type of damage since it couldn't have occurred because of an accident... so i reached out to Arhaus, talked with Donna and the store manager and explained the situation to them. They immediately offered to replace at no charge my table top. After 3 years. I received it this week (only 3 weeks after they ordered it) and couldn't be more satisfied with this outstanding service ! For this reason i will most likely buy my future furniture there. read more

Lackadaisical bargain basement customer service for a high price fancy looking furniture store. If I had consulted yelp and seen how many one star reviews there are I probably would've bought furniture We bought two chairs at $2000 each. When they arrived three months later, one was good the other was defective, leaning forward and to the right. I immediately called the store and emailed the store. They told me "concierge" would get back to me in a day or two. Didn't happen. One week goes by nothing happens. I called again. Finally several days after that the "concierge" calls back and says "yes we will replace your chair, should we pick it up now or later when we deliver the new one ?" Sounds fair to me. I'll let them leave the defective chair. Then TWO MORE MONTHS go by and I hear NOTHING. I email the store again and they tell me they're checking on it. I checked back the next day and they again tell me that they have forwarded it to the concierge. I hear absolutely nothing and yet ANOTHER week goes by. I emailed the store again. I get back an email response that is totally empty. Zero words in the email. Completely illustrative of their absolutely abysmal communication skills. Finally a couple days later the "concierge" does call. Her response is that in 7 to 10 MORE DAYS she will send me a swatch of leather to make sure that it matches the color of the chairs we already have then they will start to work on an new chair. Two months after they agreed to replace the chair they decide to send me a swatch in 10 days from then. Then they'll make a chair. ... Definitely one star. Money back please. NOW. read more

Although our sales person was helpful in designing our new room. I will never use this company again. Several early issues with pricing and offers-had to elevate and fight to resolve it. Longer than expected delivery time. Now, significant interest charges assessed just after the 12 months 0% interest promotion. It is not 0%- it is simply deferred full interest. You will be charged for the entire year at once if not paid in full. My understanding from conversations with Arhaus was that it started charging interest on the balance at the end of the promotional period forward. This is not the case. This cost me almost 30% extra on my purchase, which was already a splurge for us. read more

I bought a 94" Tao table from Arhaus 2 yrs ago (in January). we were given a delivery schedule for April (the same year), the table was delivered in August after I constantly called, they finally gave me a delivery date. When it was delivered, they hired delivery contractors, who where not capable of moving the Tao table which is extremely heavy. The table was dropped & scratched & after many weeks of complain. They brought a replacement table in October which was 5 inches smaller in diameter. I told the delivery person that I did not want the replacement & they got angry & destroyed our our outdoor light fixture. We have not had our table replaced. This year (2016) we got an invitation to shop at their warehouse clearance in August. So, we decided we will give this another try. We bought 8 custom dining chairs which we were given the 2nd week of October as delivery date. I called them on 10/23, & was told it is not ready & will be delivered the 2nd week of Nov. I called the 2nd week of Nov & was told it will be delivered on Nov 23rd, but only 2 of the 8 chairs will be delivered. Leaving me to rent chairs for thanksgiving. I am appalled that we spent 20K total (table, chairs, rugs), and they can't commit to their customers. They are flakey & have poor customer srevice. I will not buy form Arhaus ever nor will I recommend them. My experience was upsetting, & scary (when the delivery person raised his voice at me).. & a very very expensive lesson. read more

Short version: DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Purchased a sofa and a bed. On the delivery day I was informed by the delivery driver that the sofa was damaged and wasn't a part of the delivery. No one from Arhaus or the distribution center contacted us to inform us of this though the driver thought they had, or would, which never happened. We were told someone would contact us to reschedule, this never happened. We had to call the distribution company and were told very little other then to wait and they would call, this never happened. Called Arhaus and told we would get sofa in a few weeks and that they would call, this never happened. We called again and were told that it was going to be at distribution center in one day and they would call to schedule delivery, this never happened. We called a few days later and were told a new delivery date for seven days later and that final delivery would be scheduled via phone call, this never happened. 30 days from original delivery date and we still don't have our sofa. Called one final time to get refund and were told they would have to contact the store then "call us back"! What a joke, 30 days, countless calls, told multiple time we'd be called back, and that NEVER HAPPENED! I'm suppose to believe they're going to finally call me back to give me thousands of dollars. Customer service was anything but. I'll be headed to the store in person. UPDATE: instead of a refund Arhaus just charged me for the sofa again. Complete incompetence! read more

I purchased 3 bar stools on March 10th. I was told they would be in on March 30th. Each stool was $149 and I had to pay in full they day I ordered them. I reached out to Arhaus on March 30th to pick up my stools. They had told me they would not be in until May 18th. Really 3 bars stools are going to take until May to come in. I sent an email to Indianapolis store on May12th. I received no response. I phoned on May 18th to pick up my stools and they informed me they would not be in until May 23. I replied, "you told me they would be in on May 18th". The manager responded well they got to the warehouse on the 18th. These people have had my money since March 10th. I told the manager that some kind of compensation should be given for such poor service. That can't do that, but they can hold onto my money. Shame on you Arhaus!!!! My experience with Arhaus was not very pleasant. After looking at some Arhaus catalogs, my boyfriend and I decided on two pieces of furniture (a coffee table and tv console) which were priced over $3500 together and bought them through the sales associate, Jane, in February. I told Jane that I needed to be notified when our furniture would be ready *which she quoted in about 6 weeks* because we did not live in Raleigh full-time as we are slowly transitioning our move down from NYC over the next few months. A few weeks went by and I didn't hear anything about our order so I decided to contact Arhaus in which a different sales associate looked up my items and said that they'd be available in about a week. I asked if we could put in the notes that I would like to have immediate shipment to store and for an Early April (first week pref) shipping date to our apartment which they said wouldn't be a problem. I explained that I needed to get a flight down to Raleigh in order to be in town for the delivery and asked if the items would be available to be delivered then. Again, they said that wouldn't be an issue. The next day, Jane emailed me following up, confirming our items would be ready to ship from the Ohio Warehouse on 3/19 and that she would do as instructions in the system stated. I went ahead and booked my ticket for March 31-April 6th (costing $300 round trip). During this time, I kept looking at my emails and realized I still had not had any calls, emails or voicemails in regards to the order. I even tried to track my order online which came up as unavailable. On April 1st, I went to Arhaus and spoke with a woman, Maria, who was very very nice and said she saw my notes in the system regarding shipping instructions but apparently my order never left the Ohio warehouse. I could tell she felt bad but of course knew it wasn't her fault. I left the store, very unhappy to hear that my order was never shipped. A few hours later, I received an email from Jane stating that everything was "right on time!" and that my order should be leaving the Ohio warehouse mid April and it should be delivered late April/early May. WHAT?? I went BACK to Arhaus to speak with a manager as my frustration grew, not even so much that my order was never shipped, but that Jane felt like she wasn't in the wrong. When i went back, Jane was actually working at the counter and I confronted her directly about how upset I was, in which she continued to be on the defense saying "well, why did you book your ticket.. did you ever receive a phone call from me?" and " what, you have emails from ME saying I said your order would be ready on the 19th of march??" She also said the items had been JUST confirmed that they were ready a few days earlier in which I asked "well.. than why did you not notify me then?" and her answer was "umm... I was going to today". After a few minutes, the store manager, Larissa, came over and immediately asked what was wrong. I explained how I ordered furniture in February, it was now April and still hadn't received anything, AND how i bought a ticket to come down to Raleigh because they said it would be ready by this time and that I was very frustrated by the lack of communication by her Sales Rep. I must say, Larissa was actually quite amazing- she offered to refund me $300 for my flight ticket as well as an additional $100 for my inconvenience which I thought was a very kind gesture. Unfortunately, Jane put a very bad taste in my mouth and to be honest, I found myself to be quite turned off and no longer even wanted the furniture. Larissa was again fantastic, and actually offered a full refund. The only reason why I am giving Arhaus 2 stars is because of how wonderful Larissa was as a store manager... but the lack of the other 3 stars is due to Jane having zero communication skills with her clients as well as being extremely rude and also for how long the shipping/delivery process is for Arhaus. This review may change, but as of now 2 stars. I loved the product I've purchased prior, so I went back. We ordered a sectional at the of November during Black Friday weekend and they said the pieces we selected were in stock. They just needed to go from to their production center to their distribution to us; two weeks turnaround. Sounds great! It's a deal! My wife moved in the weeks it was scheduled to arrive. We heard nothing and we have no furniture as these pieces would fill our living room. We called for an update and they said now it would be 1-2 more days to the distribution center. And then they said one piece was further delayed. January for the one piece. They were willing to give a small discount and deliver one piece that was in with no additional charge on Dec 29 or 30th. Of course they now say Jan 2nd as their delivery schedule is now full! We said you can come any time! I would think we would be priority! Nope. This is almost a month later and we still may only have half of our order! We had to stay in our old home in another city during the holidays since we have no furniture. The customer service has been adequate and they gave us a small discount, but it hasn't been worth the trouble. This couch has a lot to live up to! If you need furniture immediately, you should probably look elsewhere. I would review the furniture, but it is MIA! read more

This is my horrible purchase experience at Arhaus. Don't buy anything from here and don't waste your money/time. I bought the table a few months ago, after one more week delivery came then I found out the table size not right. I called their sales associates and they told me out of sock will delivery right size table to me after one month, then after a month then call to check my table delivery date then they told me still out of sock need to wait after two month again. I missed my house warming and thanksgiving party. If I don't check about the delivery day, they won't call you back about your furniture status. I don't want to wait that long, I keep the small table they shipped to me and I check the online they have promotions and I want to match the online price, but they don't give it to me. Even though I talked to their manager, the manager said will called me back shortly, but I never got any call from her and I called after a few day to manager leave the massage, still won't Got call back, if they said call you back, you never get the call back or update forever. Don't waste the time and money to shop this company. That's not wroth what you paid and what you get back, just Made you feel more headache. HORRIBLE experience! RUN from Arhaus salespeople...yes, they are nice, but only for the sale. I have to share this experience in hopes that it will save someone else from the headache I've had with this company for 7 months!! I've purchased high end furniture in the past and was curious about Arhaus at Crabtree last September, 2012 to see what they had. I liked the showroom and several pieces. The salesperson was very attentive. My husband and I decided on a dining room set with six upholstered/wood Margot chairs, and a wingback chair. Since I buy items to last, I typically take a little while to live with the fabric swatches before my decision is made. They were a little impatient with my decision time, but let me take a week to decide;even came to my home to view my decsions in the room. I thought this was nice. Anything for the sale. We ordered $8000.00 worth of furniture on 9/19/12 with a 8-10 delivery date. The goal was to have these peices home for the holidays (its September, no worries, right?).... From my order date of 9/19/2012 to today 3/2/13 I have yet to receive my completed order. This is not without my continued calls and texts to the manager and my sales associate. The table and buffet came first in November, then the dining room chairs came AFTER Christmas. My husband's wingchair came incorrect and we had to reorder it. The manager said it would be rushed since it was their error...that was Dec 10. I've checked with them several times, and they kept telling me it would be here mid-Feb ( that's not a rush). Today, March 2, 2013,I call to see where my chair is, the response from my sales rep is, "you didn't get my text or my call?"..." its being delivered between 1:30-3:30 today." This is the other bonus from their subpar customerservice...you never know when your furntiure is coming. I've had three deliveries and ALL of them have just shown up at my house....never receive a phone call with a window of time, even though I double check that they have my numbers correct. We ordered a reclaimed wood dining table that was delivered in 3 months, by very rude men. It was so crooked a glass of water wouldn't stand up on it and it smelled like tar and was filthy. We sent it back and received another within 3 months, which the men hurriedly put together, and ran over bushes in my yard with their truck. . Small children eating dinner and reaching across the 200 pound table top, nearly were crushed as the table started to fall on them. We caught it in time but many dishes were broken. Jane, at The store was not very reassuring. A different man returned and showed us where only half the screws were in the table and those were only half way screwed in. We could have had a family tragedy. The lady in Ohio was insencere in her comment of "that is not our usual policy". No mention of replacing china or anything. I should have put it all in writing or recorded everyone'/ conversation. read more
