There's outdoor dining, a bar area to the right that's 21+, and a family-friendly dining area to the left. They have plenty of their beers on tap, specialty drinks, and when we were there, the bar had a huge projector screen showing college football. And because apparently Maine has decided we need to combine all the best things in life... one table had a group of friends playing Cribbage. Good food, good atmosphere, football, Cribbage, outdoor seating, and fancy sauce. What more could you ask for? Definitely need to remember that Bissell Brothers is here and stop "forgetting" about it!

They also had a great variety of beers, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options, so there really is something for everyone. Incredible beer, not a bad one in the batch. We even heard people say they couldn't believe the beer was gluten free. My husband agreed! But what really sets this brewery apart are the people. Andie is an earth angel that made me feel like I was home. She's such a delight and I'm genuinely so happy our paths crossed. She made EVERY SINGLE PERSON feel welcome! The ability to order from Bite Into Maine was so great. Best lobster rolls so far and full gluten free protocols. I cannot wait to come back on my next trip. First of all the place is very cool! There are pinball machines and they even had a FIFA soccer area for the kids to play soccer in. They also had Jenga and cornhole. Anything that keeps my kids entertained while I enjoy a flight is a plus for me. We visited Shipyard twice and each time I got a flight. I loved trying all their beer! From their original beer, to their summer ale, to their blueberry, watermelon, and beyond, everything was quite delicious. The bartenders were very very nice and offered tastings of anything I wanted to try. They also have food available and the pizza was very good. I really enjoyed visiting Shipyard and of course I had to bring some souvenir glasses home. I'll definitely visit again when I'm up in Maine.

The staff were very nice and friendly, and offered their opinions on which beers our group would enjoy. They had a large sampling of IPAs, pale ales, lagers, and sours. Our group tried the Austin Street Lagers, Obsolete Vernacular- a mango ale. and a fox street ale, and enjoyed all of them. If in the Portland area. this is a must !

As you likely remember we were still dealing with the dreaded pandemic back then. Belleflower has preserved through that and blown every expectation out the water. You could easily make an argument Belleflower is one of the best if not the best brewery in Portland and Maine in general. They nail the IPAs and all variations of them but also can do every other style very well too! In particular for this celebration of their 5th anniversary they released a fruited sour aged in barrels for around 5 years and a double dry-hopped DIPA and both are incredible well made beers! They almost always have a food truck option nearby including a fan favorite of mine, Ironclad Eats! Today they had Smokin Dads BBQ. If you are a beer lover living in or visiting the area you must visit Belleflower! You will have friendly staff welcoming you and will taste some world-class beers! The pizza was also cooked crispy with a crunchy layer of cheese on the bottom of the crust. So good! The dough is like focaccia... thick and fluffy. So good! The pizza is very filling, and sweet and tangy. The wings came with very little celery & carrots. I prefer extra celery & carrots so I was a little disappointed having so little. Very good take out.
