I was on my way to Lankanau Hospital for a visit, and I was hankering for a cheesesteak. It's not a hard place to find just off Route 30. They have online ordering too, which is cool. I got a cheesesteak with ketchup and some fries. The people working were very friendly. I wouldn't say the cheesesteak itself is anything to write home about. My friends enjoy this pizza place more than I do. My preference is Eagle Pizza because comparatively... The sauce is a little bland and the crust is missing that fermented flavor that I seek in a good crust. Cheese is of good quality but overall it isn't enough to save the pizza. One positive is the top their pizza well. All of the side orders are solid... never had the steaks or hoagies so I cannot comment. Overall I'd say Ardmore Pizza is A-OK, but it isn't my top choice. read more

We've stopped going to Ardmore Pizza altogether. We don't know if there was a management change or what, but the quality of everything has gone steadily downhill over the 4 years we've been ordering here. The burgers that used to be so delicious are now dense bricks that are less flavorful, the cheesesteaks once packed with meat are now scrimpy, and the pizza was just meh; the fries are still good, though. We're disappointed because we liked this little shop so much and prefer non-chain shops, but it's not worth the cost and the disappointment to try again. read more

My fiancé and I were stranded in a near parking lot with a dead battery, and he left a busy operation to jump in his truck and come give us a jump. This is not gourmet brick oven pizza. It's Greek-style: thick, slightly doughy crust with very generous toppings. It's also on the greasy side. Is it the best pizza I've ever had? Nope. Far from it. Is it tasty, consistent, and satisfying? Absolutely. I'm also a really big fan of their online ordering system. Want to order cheese fries with bacon, sour cream, and Russian dressing on the side?* You can do that and it takes about 3 seconds. I've also been quite pleased with the speedy delivery times and the fact that the pizza always arrives piping hot. (*I do not recommend that you actually order that.) read more

The food at Ardmore Pizza is delicious and offers a variety of tasty takeout foods. I am not a fan of the .45 cent fee charged to your card when ordering take-out. They don't tell you in advance either. I am also disappointed that the $2.50 delivery fee is not paid to the driver. I am still wondering how or where that money is applied. Yep, great food that is well above the average cost for lunch takeout that adds $3.00 to your bill. Keep digging in your purse because you still need to tip the driver! So I ordered from Ardmore Pizza and after an hour and fifteen minutes I cancelled my order...so crazy right, I said I'd never order again well I gave in. so tonight I ordered a chef salad because they make pretty good salads...well it arrived without dressing and when I called them the girl who took my order said "oh I didn't think you wanted dressing", seriously?! We got a cheese pizza and a calzone last night. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO ARDMORE PIZZA?!! It was terrible. A small pizza is now equal to a personal pizza anywhere else. The calzone was made with hoagie ingredients. I got a piece with nothing but three full round to tomato slices, not cheese nothing else. My next slice was three huge pieces of green peppers and a huge mound of ricotta cheese nothing else. The ingredients were huge and lumped together. If you got one ingredient on this slice you got all that was on the calzone. The put a lump here a lump there and another lump over there. The worst calzone I have ever had. The small cheese pizza was no better. My kids wouldn't even eat it because how burnt it was. NEVER AGAIN! I'm done with them. They were great for years but we live in a pizza Mecca. I grew up around the corner from this place and I have to say, the delivery guys knew our address by heart. I am not a huge fan of their style of pizza, but its greasy and its good. Where they deliver (pun intended) is their cheese steaks. In fact, this last Christmas, I took a road trip to Michigan to visit family who had been from Philly. Ardmore style went above and beyond packing up steaks seperately for the long road trip. They survived and the fam was happy for the tasty philly treat. I think they have platters on their menu that come with fries and a salad...its been awhile since i got that, but I remember the salad being tasty. You don't exactly go to a pizza place for the salad, so that says a lot. I think they are open really late on weekends too! Ardmore style has a special place is my family's heart...I hope it never closes! read more

I'm giving Ardmore Pizza 4 Stars not because their pizza is my favorite, but because the service we received when we went in was so exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was kind and friendly, and even though we didn't call ahead, they put our order right in and we only waited 8-10 minutes for our pizza, while browsing a magazine at their one table. Ardmore Pizza is not someplace I'd sit down and eat (there's no tables), but I'd get their take out. If the level of service we got in the shop was any indication, their delivery guys are probably awesome, too. The pizza we got was fresh and hot, with tons of cheese and a crispy crust. The sauce was a little sweet for my taste, but I could dig it. I'd be curious to try other types of pizza, since I had gotten the BBQ chicken, and thought that may have influenced the sweet flavor in the tomato sauce a bit. The cheesesteak I ordered was quite meaty and had my requested mushrooms, ketchup and mayo, the sandwich arrived cold and had broken through the bottom of the roll. Working in Ardmore, it was only natural that I'd come across Ardmore Pizza at some point when considering meal options, and I've been consistently surprised at their excellence. First of all, everything I've ordered from them has been damn good. I'm not big on pizza and their all-around variety is extensive enough to surprise me each time I look through the menu. Having an option to order online is also extremely convenient while I'm working, even more so because I'm a picky order and having a concrete list sent to the business ensures better accuracy with the order. Their delivery guys have always been prompt and courteous. I read on here that they have difficulty getting people's orders right. I personally don't think that sort of thing should be a surprise; sometimes, a takeout place is going to get your order wrong. More importantly, it's what they do to fix it. On a few occasions my very specific order was improperly interpreted, so I sent them an e-mail. The manager promptly got back to me to apologize, offering for my next meal free. Both times following, my meal was free with absolutely no restrictions or irritations. Customer service like that is why I keep going back. read more

I have a family members in Bryn Mawr Extended Care. I treat him to dinner every Friday and on Sundays, I order a large pizza half plain and half pepperoni to share with him, his roommate, and myself while we watch Eagles football and or whatever other team is is playing. Today, I sent the pizza back because it was cold. When I called the delivery person to come back and take the pizza back, he was rude and said it wasn't his fault. He opened the box, looked at the pizza, breathed all over it, closed it, and repeated that it wasn't his fault. I've never had any problems with this place before. They have good food, and their delivery service is usually superb. When I called the restaurant to let them know I was sending the pizza back and why, I also asked to speak with a manager. I held on for 6 minutes just to be told that no one was available, but they would remake the pizza and send it right out. That was almost 90 minutes ago. This type of behavior sends the message that Ardmore Pizza does not stand by their food. That's a shame because I really liked their food and appreciated the great delivery service. I forgot to mention that I ALWAYS tipped very, very well. Shame on you, Ardmore Pizza for treating me this way. read more

While housesitting for my mom, I recently revisited one of the top pizza places of my childhood. One of our favorite things was the hulking, pizza box filling, cheesesteak stromboli. One large stromboli could readily feed my family of five. Memories did not dissappoint, the cheesesteak ingredients folded within pizza dough was perfect, crisp dough on top, moist meat inside, and a greasy bottom toeing the line of guilty pleasure. Their cheesesteaks are equally excellent, but the pizza can be disappointing, nothing really bad about it, just that there are better pizzas nearby. They have excellent wings, and for those who want to avoid the mess they also have "wing dings", fried breaded wings with hot sauce on the side. It's probably a good thing I'm not commuting from Ardmore station, because if I was I'd be eating here weekly. read more

Jee Whizz! The steak and cheese was AWSOME. Now I must say this was my first. I do a lot of traveling and hear about how awesome an authentic Philly cheese steak sandwich is. When I asked some locals about where to get a good cheese steak they mentioned a couple of places, when one of the individuals said its all about the cheese and meat you need to go to Armadore pizza. Once I sank my teeth into it, I must say the flavor was superb. The aroma emitting from the sack while driving back to hotel was mind blowing & mouth watering. Even in the elevator up to my room, people were commenting how good it smelled. Asking where did I get it from. The staff was super, very helpful. As this was my first cheese steak. the guy taking the order asks what do you want on it. Like I would know after all this was my first. He asked you like onion etc. Anyway he was polite helpful and sandwich was AWSOME, The fries were tasty.
