My daughter started at Arden Cahill at 2 years old and she's almost in high school. I love the school and the faculty.

This Day Care has been great. We have been with them for almost a year now. We are military and the…read morerates were less expensive on base, but the level of care provided at Jacobs Ladder is far superior. They really care about the kids. It's not just a job for them.

When asked for juice or water, they are refused. There are no activities or fun things to do with the kids. Employees only have the children seated and are told to 'shut up' and watch TV. Outside time is minimal and they can have up to 35 kids out in the rusty rug-covered dirt playground with only one supervisor attending to the children. Children are constantly yelled at and never learn a thing. The teacher: student ratio is absurd. The daycare center refuses to hire any more employees and when State Licensing visits, are lying about certain employees who don't have their background checked just because the owner doesn't want to spend the money. There are no snacks for the children. According to the list of activities for the day, the children are to receive a snack before lunch, a snack after nap, and a snack before the child is picked up. Their snacks consist of 2 (two) vanilla wafer cookies or half of a graham cracker. This, I believe, is not sufficient enough for the kids, especially for the fact being that there is not enough food during lunchtime for the kids. During lunch, the kids are asked who does and doesn't want to eat. Those who don't want to eat don't get food. For those who don't finish their food, the food is transferred onto another plate into The kitchen and is given to the next child. The three buildings are infested with termites, roaches and ants. Cheap spray is being used to treat the buildings. It obviously isn't working. For your child's safety, please refrain from signing up to this daycare. The owner and director are never there and only talk you up to keep you from taking your child out.

My daughter is THRIVING here and is so excited to come to school that she runs down the street, through the gates, down the hall, and immediately to her classroom. Joining this school was like joining a Hogwarts house - we didn't join a school, we joined a vibrant community. Many of my daughters classmates have had all their relatives go to school here, the ties run deep! They have so many ways to get involved, socialize, and fun events that it feels like I joined a club or sorority. I run into parents from my daughters class outside of school often and I no longer feel like a stranger to New Orleans, but a welcomed member of my new community. Being a part of this school has been my favorite thing about New Orleans so far. Also, I love the outfits, the logo, and the breathtakingly beautiful grounds. The best schools in Salt Lake City (and the competing schools in the area) can't hold a candle to this place. Worth every penny. P.S. Of the Hogwarts Houses, this school would be Gryffindor. ;)

I am very thankful for the teachers they have had from 2nd to 8th grade (these are the grades attended) . All teachers were easily accessible and responded to all my inquiries same day sometimes within the hour. The best part from my experience with Belle chasse Academy is the communication, I have been in the know when it comes with anything involving my kids. Communication is sent through parent square app, posted on their Facebook page and for extremely time sensitive information receive an automated call. Both my kids have had the opportunity to be in advance math which will have them enter high school with a math credit completed. BCA has many opportunities for advanced students to continue advancing in all core classes and earn high school credits in 8th grade. For our family BCA has been a great school and exceeded our expectations.

However, my other son is in Kindergarten and has had a a horrible experience. Ms. Bylsma is not a good teacher and extremely rude. My son was so excited for Kindergarten and has a happy spirit. Not only did Ms. Bylsma kill his spirit, but ruined his Kindergarten experience. We removed him from her class and doing home school. Multiple families around us had the same comments about her. Choose a different teacher if your child is going into kindergarten.
