Really disappointing experience using a Groupon here. I have been buying plants here for years…read more(probably at least 5) but I'm done now. I won't be back. The Groupon they put out seemed like it would be a good deal. It said right on the certificate it wasn't good for sale items. Not usually a problem. Like I said, I've been shopping here for years, and I know they don't usually have anything at all on "sale" until the end of June. Well not this year. She decided to make most everything (ok, not veggies or trees, and not the $12-15 plants) "on sale" the day they opened. Another employee even confirmed that. Not to mention she jacked the prices at least $2 on everything, and then marked them down. I had also purchased another Groupon for my mom as part of her mother's day gift, so between us we had 2 Groupons to use. Nearly impossible. If I had been able to return the Groupon and gotten my money back I would have. Not only was it hard to find something to buy that wasn't on sale, she wouldn't honor the groupon at the pop-up tent shop she has in Palmer because, and I quote "we have to go online to redeem those Groupons and someone could print one and use it in Palmer and then come here and use it again and we wouldn't know." The owner's explanation of the sale prices to me was "we don't make enough money on the plants that are marked on sale if we honored those with the groupon." Well guess what? That money you got from Groupon was the last money you will ever get from me. I'm done. I hope the Groupon brought her lots of new customers because I'm sure I'm not the only dissatisfied (now former) customer.

If I could give Aurora Nursery 11 stars out of 10, I would!…read more I stopped in late in the season hoping to find a few vegetable starts, and instead I discovered one of the greatest gardening experiences I've ever had. The end-of-season deals were unbelievable. I honestly don't think the prices even covered the cost of the soil, pots, seeds, and the time they invested growing these beautiful plants. I felt truly blessed. I'd never grown poppies before, but I brought some home, and they have been an absolute joy to watch. They grew quickly and have become one of the highlights of my garden. With my purchase, they also included free plants! Thanks to Julie and JJ's generosity, I'm now growing Bloody Dock and Love-Lies-Bleeding--two fascinating plants I had never even heard of. I've learned that Bloody Dock is edible when cooked, and Love-Lies-Bleeding is an amaranth whose seeds can even be milled into flour. What a wonderful introduction to entirely new plants! What makes Aurora Nursery truly special isn't just the incredible value--it's the people. Julie, JJ, and everyone on their staff are knowledgeable, patient, generous with their time, and genuinely excited to help their customers succeed. You can tell they love what they do, and that enthusiasm is contagious. In a world where it's easy to shop at big-box stores, Aurora Nursery reminds you why local businesses matter. They care about their customers, they stand behind what they grow, and they make gardening exciting, welcoming, and affordable. I can't recommend Aurora Nursery highly enough. Please support this wonderful local business--you'll leave with far more than plants. You'll leave inspired. Tell them Kiki sent ya!

I had a great visit at this nursery. They had a lot of plants and trees that grow well in Alaska…read more If your looking for a good greenhouse in the valley, this is an excellent stop. 5 stars.
