But what stood out here wasn't the place itself, it was the interaction inside. The gentleman working the counter was genuinely friendly in a way you don't always get at a stop like this. He noticed my New England accent right away and actually paused to ask about it. That turned into a short, easy conversation that made the whole stop feel a little more human than transactional. It wasn't anything big or dramatic, just one of those small exchanges that sticks with you because it breaks the usual rhythm of these quick roadside stops. Store itself was clean, well-stocked for what you'd expect, and easy in and out. Four stars mostly because of that interaction.
