I took advantage of a promo to test out a free week at the Reserve. I wasn't sure because the…read morewebsite looked very corporate and stiff, but once I came into the space it felt very warm and cozy. The colors in the space are light with some nice wood and stone accents. They do a really good job with the architecture to minimize how sound travels. It's not distracting to have someone 10 feet away on a phone call. There is standing spaces (which I absolutely need) and sit down cubicles. The challenge with the standing spaces is that they are all in the middle of the room, so you can feel very exposed. In contrast, they have some sitting spaces that are more semi-private by the wall. They make a good effort to have social events and create more of a community with their members. The Reserve delivers the basics of what you need in a co-working space and more. I would highly recommend you check out the space and see it in-person. I also get co-working space at the Impact Hub in Minneapolis through an organization I work with. I have to say -- my preference is for the Impact Hub which has a more dynamic environment filled with folks working for the social good. Impact Hub also has an amazing rate for students. However, the Impact Hub is also a 30 minute drive (60 if it's rush hour) and has parking fees. I've noticed that co-working out of the Reserve has significantly lowered my stress level (it's only a few miles from my house -- compared to 25 miles to Minneapolis). The membership rates are structured slightly differently than other coworking spaces, but it's reasonably priced with other places around town. Worth the membership fee? In my opinion, YES. It's made me a believer. As much as people glorify home offices or try to make do with coffee shops/libraries -- for me, the cost of co-working places are worth the gains in productivity.

Regus provides consistent quality, good management, professional staff, and familiar layout in whatever location I've used, which includes a couple locations in the Twin Cities; McLean, VA, and Pune, India. Bonestroo has been my home base for about a year. It is in a boring but convenient industrial area, yet provides the same professional atmosphere as their spaces downtown. It provides traditional private office. I am not a fan of open layouts like CoCo, which I find are distracting, annoying, and unproductive environments. Nor do I like semi-"private" spaces with glass walls. I have no interest in paying to work in a terrarium. No, give me a nice Regus office. Solid walls, solid door, and quiet. The furniture is solid, comfortable, and professional looking. The design and decor of both the office interiors and the common areas are tasteful and appropriate for professional use. Management and staff have been great: professional in their communication, accommodating, and successful in maintaining a professional but welcoming environment. The building has plenty of parking, but the more convenient front lot can fill up and there have been times when I've come to the office later in the morning and couldn't find a spot in the front lot. The back requires a bit of an extra walk, but is still convenient. My only one complaint, the only thing keeping me from giving this location five stars is that things can be pretty messy Monday morning and all the coffee mugs will be dirty and the coffee will be out. The bathrooms also get pretty gross by Monday morning. I understand that there is no reception or cleaning staff working on the weekend. What I don't understand is why the cleaning staff works Friday night instead of Sunday night. I would expect everything to be ready for the start of the work week. For my business, I don't have many clients visiting, but I would avoid Monday morning meetings because I would be embarrassed at the piles of dishes, the dirty bathrooms, and the inability to offer coffee. I don't want to overstate the issue since after the staff gets in things are cleaned up and coffee restocked, though sometimes it takes a while for there to be enough coffee mugs available for the number of tenants who want coffee Monday morning. This is my only complaint. I otherwise have been very happy with my tenancy here and whole-heartedly recommend this location.

I can't say enough good things about the staff and everyone I've had contact with. They've all been very welcoming, responsive to questions, and communicative with regards to events and updates. There's free coffee and tea, tableware, an oven, microwave, and basic tableware at each location. The downtown space is a whole block in the grain exchange so is much bigger and has more meeting space. It also has access to the skyway and government tunnel. Very ritzy with lots of food options nearby so if you're trying to impress I recommend this over NE.
