I got here 45 minutes before they closed and they gave me a good deal on replacing the two tires and fixing my alignment. I was in a tight spot and knew I couldn't drive my car anymore than getting it there and they took such good care of the situation. I broke down on interstate 80 at 1:30 in the morning headed back to Illinois. Found a local hotel a…read moremile off the highway and stayed the night. I did some research and found that this mechanic shop had great reviews and decided to give them a call in the morning once they opened to figure out what was going on with my van. The Tow truck driver showed up at the hotel to tow my car 15 minutes before the shop opened and advised me that they are always super busy and there is nowhere to even park. He advised that I call first to check and see if they can even get me in. He was nice enough to wait until 8 AM ones they opened and I contacted them and explained my situation. The gentleman was really friendly and welcoming and said that he can "squeeze me in" in between appointments to help me out and get me back on the road. The van was towed to the shop where it was diagnosed. gentleman then explained everything to me that was going on and quoted me a price that was very reasonable. I agreed to do the repair and he ordered the parts fixed the van and I was back on the road within one hour. it couldn't have been a smooth transaction and these guys are down to earth and very good at what they do.

I had to go back to CARS again because the calipers that were "fixed" froze up, putting myself and…read moremy children at risk. The problem wasn't actually the calipers but a breakline that "collapsed" and caused the calipers to seize. This repair took all day, and the owner assured me that it was covered under warranty. I can't say for sure that the fault was a result of incompetent repairs the first time the calipers were "repaired." I was not charged for the repair and the owner was polite, but I hope beyond hope that nothing else goes wrong. I will still never go back to CARS for ANY automotive repairs.

Had 4 new tires mounted on 4 new rims , which were installed incorrectly according to manufactures…read moremarkings. I called and was told by a technician with 20 years experience those marks don't matter your tires are balanced. Yes they are with weights put on the outside of brand new rims. If tires were mounted correctly there may have been no need for wheel weights. There was no consistency on the install and even one of the tires was installed backwards. Its just sad when people cant own up to their mistakes and would rather lie to you. LUCKY IT WAS ONLY TIRES I guess.
