I'm writing this review after 3 years of attending this health clinic. When I first arrived as a…read morecollege freshman my dad recommended the clinic because he was a patron also. He was also experiencing some problems which I should have heeded but figure he was being my typical over sensitive father. Pro's: -I was able to see the doctor, sign up for clinical Medicaid, and not pay anything out of pocket my first visit. - she was super nice and very attentive. Asked me all sorts of questions I didn't even know were considered medical. - once I became pregnant I got a midwife who was absolutely AMAZING. Gave me her home & cell for personal use and always bumped me in the system to see her if I had any concerns. Con's ( And oh are there a lot!) - the nurses are the most incompetent, ignorant, rude women I have ever met. Almost everytime I'm there a nurse is either trash talking a patient or arguing with one. I've been a retail specialist for years, you NEVER go back and forth with a paying customer. You find a solution, not call security because you gave away an appointment time for not doing your job. - A high turnover, I hardly ever see the same nurses and I've frequently gone there for over 3 years. - the staff is unorganized & forgetful. They scheduled me 2 appointments for my son, unbeknownst to myself, and kept calling me about the second appointment at work leaving countless messages. I had to call back and "lose my mind" to say the least. - they change their automated system, constantly and don't notify their patrons. In the last 3 years it went from; calling the clinic to make an appointment, to calling a 3 party office to make an appointment, to calling the 3rd party to make an appointment and calling the DOC office to confirm. At one point their number wasn't even listed!! I spent an entire day looking up the number to the point where I called my midwife, who I had not seen for months due to not being pregnant, so she could hand her personal cell to a nurse so I could make an appointment. - and don't even get me started on the calling system they have now. Look, I've been in "que 1" for about 3 days. It's ridiculous. The phone will ring and ring and ring for 10 minutes at a time. - I recently had to lose my mind on a nurse who did not relay a message properly to my doctor and as she cut me off a gazillion billion times I finally said you know what, "You cannot help me, thank you, GOODBYE" and hung up just to get her to shut up! - the pediatrician my son has overlooks things constantly!! I just took my son for a check up. Had a feeling he may have had an ear infection so I SPECIFICALLY asked the doctors to check his ears using the quote "I DONT CARE IF YOU HAVE TO PIN HIM DOWN GET IN THOSE EARS." ( my son is squimish). His godmother took him as I could not go myself. This last Sunday my son comes home with a fever. I question his grandparents thinking maybe he was exposed to something or someone. I take my son to the Emergency room and LOW AND BEHOLD a fucking EAR INFECTION! This is the 2nd time this has happened and I was completely livid and fed up. I had to miss work to stay home and take care of my son which in return doesn't do me any good trying to get out the income bracket that requires me to go to a low income clinic instead of a private provider. After 3 years of laziness & frustration (I blame this partly on myself because these problems were apparent before, but I lived so close it would have been a hassle to go to any other clinic) I am FINALLY looking for a new pediatrician and provider of myself and my son. They just are not worth the head ache any more. The doctors are amazing (why they are getting 2 stars) but the staff is horrid (including my sons pediatrician). I suggest you try any other DOC location as I can't imagine the others being as horrible as this one.

Too bad there is nothing lower than a one. My housekeepers 9 year old was brought in wit nausea,…read morevomiting and extreme abdominal pain. The doctor told her it was a virus and to go home. When the child said she could not walk the dr said "oh alright take her to the ER". Not sure if she got poor patient care because she is Spanish but the woman doing triage should've caught it not to mention the doctor when she got to the hospital her appendix had already burst. Nice work Carrollton clinic.

Awesome Awesome Awesome... The mission, the people, the passion, the purpose…read more.. Being His hands & Feet is what we're supposed to do & be. Second Harvest gets it and does it well. Second Harvest receives donations and they also purchase food and distribute it to the masses. Various churches, ministries, schools, individuals, agencies etc are able to receive food directly from Second Harvest Food Bank. Talk about paying it forward. Thousands of pounds of food comes thru here daily & Second Harvest is trusted to get it out to various food pantries & individuals. The word NO, doesn't exist here. Never have I seen a more benevolent group of people that are ALWAYS going over & beyond to help a person/families/groups in need. This place is a haven goodness. The volunteers POUR in and give of themselves, tirelessly!!! The senior boxes alone total 19,000 EVERY MONTH and volunteers come in daily shifts to assist with packing those boxes. PLUS, Second Harvest also feeds hot plates to senior citizens, lunch for school aged kids, good for pantries & still manages to do food giveaways to the general public that don't fall into the aforementioned categories. This place is a god-send!!! They accept food & monetary donations; so if you're able, pay it forward, be good to those in need!!!

I can also appreciate the level of organization that exists during volunteer sessions so each person plays a part in helping things run smoothly. It's so easy to sign up and join a season. I highly recommend adding it to your weekly or monthly schedule!
