I was there last week to have a piercing done. I was a little panicked because I was afraid that the piercing would need to go through a bit of cartilage in my ear. Rick put me at ease immediately. I was in town from Seattle and a friend and I decided to get some spontaneous tattoos. We called around on a Saturday evening and some shops didn't answer and other receptionists left me with a bad or judgey .vibe. When I called Arcane Michelle answered and was instantly patient, understanding and knowledgable. We decided to go with this shop. We even called again once in the neighborhood asking for parking recommendations and again- Michelle was patient and kind. The shop itself is beautiful - the couch is to die for! And very clean. The reception area is welcoming and everyone we came in contact with was relatively friendly. We were tattooed by David who is a traveling artist from Spain - he was super nice, quick and did the inner arm tattoos without a lot of pain or fuss. Okay so I went here browsing different jewelry options but my experience wasn't the greatest. I went in, I was greeted and they were overall very helpful but there was some attitude I didn't like. The selection they have for jewelry is amazing, their products are stunning; if you want something really high quality I'd recommend. But the issue I had was that I went in mostly browsing for jewelry for my conch piercing (which is like 4 years old and totally healed) and also my tongue piercing (which is a week old). I made it clear I wasn't going to change my tongue jewelry until it was healed and ready, but I kept having it repeated to me as if I hadn't already said that myself like three different times, which was kind of frustrating. The woman who helped me was really helpful and knowledgeable about the products but the male sounded pretty condescending. One of the first things he said to me being "Well I don't know where you got your tongue pierced but...", when I literally went to Adrenaline where they did an amazing job and used high quality jewelry on me. Following this the male brought up to me about getting the jewelry replaced when there was legit no need to? It's healing perfectly well, there's no swelling anymore at this point, it's just a long bar because it's what you get pierced with to accommodate for swelling, I mean it's a new piercing so. The products are gorgeous but there were some moments with unnecessary attitude, maybe it was just an off day or something, I don't know. read more

I spontaneously decided to get a helix piercing since I saw on a Instagram story that the shop had available time the same day, I submitted the form to book which was really easy to do. When I arrived, the person in the front desk (Amanda) was so welcoming and friendly and she oriented me since it was my first piercing, she introduced me with my piercer (Change Sledge) who showed me and explained me about the materials and process. The special room for the procedure was so clean and organized as well as the shop! Additionally, I love the electronic waiver they have, the app sends the waiver to your email for your records. Updated review: I went back to Arcane to get my nose pierced. I'm editing my review to say that I'd only go back to Ryan for any further piercings. Chance pierced my nose and I wish I'd had Ryan do it. Ryan is a more experienced piercer. I feel like the placement wasn't perfect and when he sized me for another piece of jewelry (that I ordered months later) he was WAY off in sizing. We came in to get my 7year old's ear pierced. Everyone here was so kind and professional, from the person who answered the phone to Ryan who did her piercing. He was kind and took the time to explain everything that he was doing/ that she might feel. Super high hygiene standards and everything he used came out of a package. There was a small pinch and there were tears but those were expected and I think they were tears of surprise since when he pierced her she didn't cry it was after. The piercing was beautifully done and it looks lovely. No redness at all afterwords and we were given loads of information about how to care for it too. Nice selection of jewelry and the studio is beautifully decorated as well. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and I would come back for myself if I needed anything done for sure. read more

I went in to get my ear pierced today. From the moment I phoned to make an appointment until I left the store with my beautiful new pricing was an absolutely wonderful experience! The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Ryan is my piercer and he is very professional and knowledgeable. I had my ear pierced long time ago but I didn't really like the placement, so I decided to get them priced again. I went to Adorned about two years ago to get both of my traguses pierced. A week or so before, I accompanied my friend who got her daith done. The atmosphere was calm and lovely. They had a wide selection of high end jewelry and amazing curio items around the shop. The reason why I'm writing this review now and giving Adorned 3 stars instead of 5, is that Rick pierced one of my traguses too deep. Compared to the other one, which healed nicely, the troubled piercing went through way more tissue and the holes were not aligned. I found this out when I finally decided to get my captive hoops changed out for bars at Metro in Olympia, WA. It was there that she found the problem and helped me with it. However, my one piercing did not take kindly to the change and swelled to 1/2" thick and grew over the stud I had. I then went to Next while I was visiting Vancouver to get it looked at and fixed once and for all. I saw Ian, who jumped into action and helped me immediately. He had to put in a bar that was 7/16" because of how swollen it was and we put a 4mm stud in so it couldn't grow over it. Ian confirmed what the other piercer said: it was way too deep and the holes were almost twisted they were that unaligned. It took minutes for Ian to line it up properly because of how mismatched the holes were. Boom. The problem was fixed. I had thought it was just me until I told Ian where I had gotten it and how long I'd had it. He told me that unfortunately he has seen a few other people who were pierced by Rick that had similar problems. My friend who got the daith had to get her jewelry switched and the piercing looked at because it wasn't healing as well as any of her other piercings -- and she has at least 8 other cartilage piercings for reference. I think Adorned is a decent piercing and tattoo parlor. I love their aesthetic and mindset, but it seems like Rick can be a hit or miss. Just a fair warning for anyone. I enjoyed my experience at Adorned, but the improper piercing of my one tragus has caused a lot of problems that have just been fixed after two years. read more

They weren't the nicest or the friendliest but they certainly know what their doing. I went to get in to get my earlobes and helix done, Rick was very sanitary but was a little cold which didn't do well for someone who is scared of needles and gets anxiety. He rushed me when choosing which jewellery and through the process, but explained things while he went over them. He told me to hurry because he had someone waiting which was understandable. The staff was extremely rude and cold and unfriendly and sort of judgmental. Either way, I could sense how experienced Rick was so I thought that his experience in piercings left me in good hands. He told me to take deep breaths before piercing. That helped calm me down a little. I was shocked at how expensive the 7minutes was. For two earlobes and one helix with basic gems, it was almost 300$!! Really expensive. Overpriced. read more

I attempted to get a cover up at Adorned maybe 3 years ago? I hope they've improved since, but this was my experience: I was following them on instagram and I really liked a few of the artists styles. I also really appreciated that they advertised themselves as a vegan shop. They were also located very close to where I worked at the time, so it was easy for me to just pop in. At first I emailed in pictures of my tattoo and was told to come in person to get a better idea- whether or not they could actually cover it up. The lady sitting behind the desk said that it was probably too dark and I would need to remove some of it to lighten the black part before attempting to cover. I was a little disappointed but appreciated the honesty. After a bit of talking she called over a new hire, named Mike, to take a look and see if there was anything he could do. I looked at some of his work and really liked the whole water colour splat type style he did and he was confident that he would come up with something I would like. So I was stoked, set up an appointment for the next week and was ready to go! The time came and things were going okay, he free handed some stuff, assured me I would like it- I trusted him and thought "well.. anything's better than this." I should also mentioned I have never been to a parlour before. I got my first tattoo when I was 14 by my dad, my other tattoos were done in basements, and this was my 3rd attempt at getting this butterfly covered. Like what I expected, we started talking to pass the time, he was a little unprofessional, talked a little about how he hates his mother... life in Germany etc etc.. but I have never worked in an artists environment so I assumed that professionalism was more of an asset and not a necessity. About 4 hours in, he was being told to finish up as the shop was closing. He was trying his best but didn't have a chance to finish it, and was told I'd have to come back. He cleaned me up, i took a look in the mirror, wasn't my style at all, but since I didn't come in with an idea, or asked - again i just thought "well.. anything's better..." I checked out, bought some ointment and was told to contact them once my tattoo was healed and Mike will finish it up. About a month later i was ready to book my next appointment. Unfortunately I was following Mike on Instagram (at the time he was @adreyudoll) and noticed he had moved to Montreal. And that was that. I was never contacted by the shop, or the artist. I messaged Mike when he said he was coming back in town, because he said he was looking to set up a few appointments before he was going back to Montreal- I said something like "You never told me you were moving! Can we set up another appointment so you can finish my cover up?" The only response I got was something like "I did tell you." And that was all. Never heard from him again. I've now given up on my tattoo. I've spent way too much time and money trying to get this covered up, and Adorned has made it clear to me that getting tattooed in a basement, is no different than getting a tattoo in a parlour. I understand that this was mostly the artists fault for moving and not telling his clients, but I would hope that the shop would take some responsibility in contacting clients as well, as i went through adorned, and they recommended Mike. read more

I've actually never written a review but every so often rick in someway pops up in my social media feed and everytime he does I end up feel frustrated. I'm glad other people have has such wonderful experiences but mine was awful. I had lost my jewelry in my sleep I had heard good things about adorned and it was across from where I was working at the time so I popped in on my way to get set up. I felt unconfirtable the second I walked in but I persisted because my medusa has grown over in less than 24h before so I wanted to avoid that. Rick firstly asked me was gauge my piercing had been I replied that I believed it had been a 16g. I was promptly told that this isn't possible that the standard size for oral piercing is a 14g so why would mine be 16 I was wrong and clearly a moron from this point on. It was concluded by Rick that because 14 was right and I was wrong that we were gonna try a 14 first. Go back into the piercing room ( which I will mention was very clean everything was sterile no problems there) and he tried to but a 14 in and GUESS WHAT it doesn't fit! because it's not my size!!! he then skipped right over 16 put and 18g in without informing me and the tiniest bead I've ever seen. At this point I was flustered upset late for work and just wanted to get out of there. the cost just for my jewelry was almost $50 I got out and ran to work. Upon further inspection I realized not only was I aesthetically displeased with the size of the bead the new jewelry was almost digging in because the backing was so small. the bead kept falling into my lip and hurting me so roughly 30 minutes later I returned and explained I was really unhappy with the jewelry that I had been given that I has said I wanted a large bead and this was so small it was slipping and this is when I was informed they didn't have any bigger beads for 18g! I didn't realized he had even gone down a cause from my pervious size. The only beads they had in my new gauge was these faux opal beads (which were very pretty but another whopping $35 dollars) anyway I got one because I was so unhappy with the first one. So almost $90 later (more than I actually paid to have it peirced) I'm stuck with a very limited gauge and nasty irritated infected lip because the backing on the post was so much smaller than any other jewelry and too intimidated by how moronic I was made to feel and obviously assumed to be since my gauge was changed without my consent. It's been almost a year and I still get pretty bummed looking at my medusa. I desperately want to go back to the jewelry I had before but alas I'm an 18g now it doesn't exist. read more

A little disappointed in this place. Got my nose peieced 5 days ago. I thought it was a little high but I trusted the piercer, after trying to get used it, it just felt out of place. I called and asked about getting it re done and I was told I'd have to pay the full price to do it again. It cost 112$ after taxes and tip which I already thought was high and now I'd have to pay it again for work that I wasn't satisfied with? Nope! My first review on Yelp and think I saved the best for first. I had wanted to get a helix piercing for a long time and did A LOT of research on places before I decided on Adorned. I was apprehensive about it and even told the the gal at the front desk (Michelle) that I was potentially a flight risk. She was very nice and friendly and made me feel at ease. Rick, the piercer, was also very nice. Everything was very clean and sterile and he talked me through everything so I was not surprised or uncomfortable! His apprentice, Thor, was also very good! I've since been back for a downsizing and a jewelry change. Each time the staff has made me feel welcome and Rick has been amazing at making me feel comfortable. I got something pierced yesterday... but I won't tell you what. To start off with, Rick is intimidating. I'm not talking about his look, which is very unique, but his bredth of knowledge made me feel like I was talking to a surgeon the first time we met (which was to remove a pericing I had gotten previously that was not done well at all!) Aside from the intimidating industry knowledge, Rick was lovely to me. He walked me through everything step by step, very calmly, answered all my silly questions, let me know what was happening with each step, and was incredibly sterile. I think he changed gloves 4-5 times during the whole process. The shop is clean, immaulate really, the staff are friendly (as friendly as you get on the drive anyway) and the selection of body jewelry is of superior quality. I don't expect to be getting much else pierced, but if I do... I'm coming here. Last note: the price of the piercing was quite a bit more than advertised on the website, but I suspect this is because I elected to get a gem instead of the standard silver steel. I would have appreciated knowing that there would be an additional cost, and what that cost was, before being given the option, which is why I'm only giving this review 4 stars. I suppose I should have just assumed it would be more, but a "We do have gems for our jewelry. The additional cost will be xx if you're interested" would have been nice. Highly recommend! read more

Rick is amazing! Quick, clean, and very efficient. I had to get my nose repiereced and it was a very different experience from where I got my first piercing. It was a very sterile environment. Rick washed his hands thoroughly, and switched his gloves three different times during the setup of tools, prepping my nose, and the actual piercing. He even laid out all the tools on the surgical sheet properly! Everything that he used in and around my nose was disposable. He explained everything he was doing and gave a thorough explanations of the dos and don'ts as well as aftercare. I came to Adorned for my first and only piercing. Like any other worry wart, I was super anxious and nervous about the entire thing. I called for a booking and on the day of, when I stepped into the shop, I realized that I had very little to worry about. The folks at the front desk were especially friendly and the shop was so clean and professional. It really helped calmed my nerves. Rick, the piercer, was very amiable and thorough in explaining the piercing process and the healing and cleaning process. He's incredibly knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions about piercings (without being condescending or patronizing). If you had to get anything out of my review about Adorned, is should be that sanitation is their top priority. If you ever need the safest and cleanest piercer ever, Rick's your guy. I lost count of all the new gloves he changed into after touching different surfaces and items in preparation for the piercing. As he set up, he explained in-depth on what, where, why, and how on every step. In no point in time did I feel nervous or anxious. After the piercing (which didn't even hurt much!), he went through the aftercare process again with me and gave me an informational pamphlet. I really appreciated the experience and my septum piercing is my most favourite thing ever. The healing process was so easy and painless. Perfect job by Rick. Adorned is highly recommended by me. I was pierced here today by Rick and I'm glad that I chose to come to Adorned instead of Adrenaline. I only have one other piercing that I had done there and wasn't pleased with my experience so a friend recommended Adorned and she was right. The vibes in the place are very chill and the staff at the front desk are nice, but not so over the top fake nice. The piercer himself, Rick, was so amazingly clean it almost shocked me. I think he changed his gloves over 5 times and sanitized everything prior and after we were done. I had a little bit of trouble with the piercing but he stayed extremely calm and assured me everything was going to work out alright. I'm a bit of a wuss, so this was a bit painful for me but I would go see him again for something different for sure. I also want to add that this place promotes more natural ways of healing than other places I've seen. The mouthwash they used prior was cruelty free and the little pamphlet they gave at the end recommends mango juice and camomile tea instead of more traditional methods for swelling. I believe even the ink they use here is vegan, which is cool if that's what you're into. Overall a very good experience! I'll be coming back if I want more done or new jewelry! read more

Came to Rick for a septum piercing. They have a pretty great selection of jewelry on hand, and a lot of them were pretty reasonably priced. Septum piercings usually run about $70 with jewelry, so I'm told, but if you're looking for something a bit fancier, it will cost you. Mine came to about $315, but I chose a 14k gold ring, so there you go. Rick was professional and friendly. He was very present and made sure to get the piercing exactly right. He's also clearly very health conscious, changed his gloves appropriately, washed his hands, wiped down everything with a sanitizer when we were done. The store and piercing room were all spotless in general. He clearly knows what he's doing and he talks you through it all. He was also kind enough to throw in saline spray and the organic soap they recommend for aftercare since I splurged on the jewelry, which I really appreciated. The piercing is perfect and I couldn't be happier with the jewelry I chose, it's absolutely stunning. I would go back to Rick with any other piercing needs in a heartbeat. Thanks again! read more

Yay Adorned! I actually flew out to Vancouver from Boston specifically to get tattooed by Nomi Chi. She was very communicative during the several month period before I got the tattoo- answering questions in a timely, funny, friendly manner. I got my sketch a few days before the appointment, and it was beautiful. The shop itself is lovely- clean, clean, clean, with friendly staff, great decor, and a lovely selection of jewelry. Rick was very knowledgeable about all of the top quality and ethically sourced jewelry they had. My friend got her ears pierced at a large gauge- 2ga I believe- and said he was fantastic and calmed her down a lot. Even just talking to him about earrings I got the impression that if someone told me an asteroid was about to hit the planet that Rick would be able to keep me calm. Nomi was lovely and got her work area prepped very quickly, making sure I was ready before we started, going through all of the sanitation things, etc. It was a nearly 5 hour tattoo and it went very well! It looks great and the tegaderm (it's like saran wrap, but meant for wounds/tattoos- unlike actual kitchen plastic wrap) kept it nice and clean. I also had to run and pee like six times which Nomi was very patient with. She's a delight to talk to about tattoos, music, art school etc, and I think her pricing is very reasonable for how exceptionally talented she is. Her style is super unique and my tattoo is so, so beautiful. Another customer was getting tattooed, and passed out and got sick- Rick and the staff were absolutely superb with them, keeping them calm, hydrated, and sugared up (organic vegan lollipops!), and the artist was great about checking in with them to make sure all was well. I was impressed by how calmly and professionally they handled everything. After that initial bump, the customer soldiered on and got an amazing tattoo. They had also traveled a long way here to get tattooed as well. Michelle, Casper, and the receptionist (I forget your name, sorry!) were all very friendly and shared some info about local businesses and restaurants. Today was my third trip into Adorned and I'm one happy camper! 1st visit I had my brows done by Brianne. Now, I'm super finicky about my brows - I like a certain shape and have been super disappointed with brow services I've received in the past so took to only ever doing them myself for a long time, so when it came time to invest in some microblading I was pretty nervous....I've seen some pretty fugly tattooed brows over the years! A lot of my worries were put to rest after checking out her Instagram and having a consult, but I was still nervous about pain. Brianne was great! She really took her time to explain the procedure to me and to get the shape for my stencil just right, and used plenty of numbing cream to make things a bit more pleasant. My brows healed really quickly and I've loved not having to pencil them in! I also bought some jewelry after a little assistance from the staff up front. 2nd visit I popped in as I'd lost the o-ring off one of my plugs in the shower but ended up getting some new jewelry as well. Rick was very helpful and knowledgeable and I left with a new set of plugs as well as some eyelets 3rd visit was today, as I was having my touch up appointment with Brianne. Again, she was meticulous about my shape, discussing what I liked from the last visit and looking her work over for where she could tweak things. After my touch up they're freaking perfect! Seriously, it's some of the best money I've spent on myself. I also decided to get a couple piercings done today -my septum and my left nostril. Rick was really great and so calming to speak with (it has been a while since I'd pierced anything and my last experience was awful, so I was wound up). He helped me choose some beautiful jewelry (two black opal studs for my nostrils and a white gold hoop for my septum from Body Vision LA), explained everything he was going to do in detail, and as others have mentioned the cleanliness is top notch. My piercings went well and were as painless as possible. My partner even remarked when we got home that they looked natural, like they'd been there for years. Rick has a very gentle touch and I appreciated the lack of clamps which can be both intimidating as well as uncomfortable. All told it was just over $400 for the 2 piercings, a new bead for my existing stud, a new stud, and the BVLA hoop, which might seem pricey but some things you just don't scrimp on....like anything going into your body long term! Some of the reviews I've read have talked about attitudes from the staff but my experiences have been nothing but positive! Michelle is a total doll and the other staff are friendly and professional. After reading all the reviews, I settled on Adorned for an intimate piercing. The experience was amazing. The salon is, as others have said, impeccably clean. Everyone that works there is very well informed about their services and products and will take the time to explain everything from jewellery choice to aftercare carefully and thoroughly. I was initially a bit disappointed that Rick wasn't in the shop to do my piercing (given his fantastic reputation) but the young lady (sorry I've forgotten her name) who did my piercing has worked with him for over 2 years and is incredibly well trained. She created a calm, welcoming atmosphere for me, explained every single step she was taking and then using the breathing method others have talked about gave me a perfectly positioned, virtually pain free piercing that looks beautiful. I've given this place a few chances, but every time I have gone in there, I have had a terrible experience! First of all, they "pride" themselves on having the highest quality of jewellery. They have no problem bragging about the quality of the merchandise that they have. Normally that wouldn't be a bad thing, but it isn't true. I take amazing care of my piercings, and I have no problem what so ever, paying a higher price for quality. I got 2 of my piercings replaced with jewellery from here, and within a couple weeks, they were infected and the colour had worn off. I have since had to remove both of piercings. On a separate occasion, I went in and got a piercing. It was a more difficult one, but i had faith in them because of how incredibly highly they talk of themselves. I took amazing care of it, but of course, it got infected and I had to go get it taken out. When the piercer took the piece of jewellery out, they informed that they type of jewellery that was in me, was not at all the right kind, for that type of piercing. Not to mention that it was pierced crooked! All of the things that have happened to me because of this shop, doesn't even compare to the number one thing that bothers me most about this place. Every time I go in there, I DO NOT feel welcome. Rick, the piercer is VERY condescending, he always has to talk about how he is the best, and quite honestly, it`s embarrassing to listen to. He acts like he is better than everyone and it does not feel good. When I go into a shop, I like to be treated like an equal.. because I AM. He is stuck up, and all he really cares about is making a sale. I have told many people about my experiences here, and I will continue to try and steer people away. Immediately coming in, I loved the aesthetic of the shop. I came early, so I has some time to look at the awesome selection of jewellery in the display cases. I signed some papers, and was taken to the (very purple!) Piercing room. Ryan, my piercer, led me through the entire process and it was really not bad at all! I only have gotten my ears pierced, a really long time ago. I was in to get my septum done, and I was super nervous. But it was fast, efficient, and I left feeling awesome. They really do take piercing seriously, which is great! Everything is very clean, sanitized, and sensible. The aftercare they recommend is not harsh, and they sell everything you would need for aftercare. As for the price, the piercing itself was not very expensive at all! The jewelry was a lot more and I definitely did splurge on it. The price is absolutely worth it, especially for the quality of service and beautiful gems. They said Arcane was both one of the best piercing outfits in the city, but that it was very queer friendly. I booked my piercing and I was not disappointed! Charles was amazing. I had gotten a tattoo by the talented K Abbott back when he was at The Fall, so I tracked him down for touch ups and it turns out that he now works out of this beautiful newly opened shop. When I saw the great prices, the level of experience and knowledge of the piercer and the gorgeous jewelry I knew this was the next place I'd be getting pierced as well. I did the usual sign some stuff, wait around for a bit routine, in the nice space they have it wasn't so bad. Rick was awesome giving me every opportunity to ask questions and going through everything step by step, in an informative, not patronizing, way. Most of all though Rick was an absolutely soothing presence making the experience easy and "gentle" as he likes to say. My 6g lobe piercing was perfectly placed and I couldn't be happier, I'll be following my aftercare diligently to get the most out of my immaculately done piercing! read more

My septum had been done years ago by another piercer (who's gone out of business) and had been fucked up; never healed right. I came here to get it redone and they did an excellent job. I paid good money thinking I was going to get quality work for the $240 that I spent on this piece of work. First off Casper Macarbre very rude and, very heavy handed (I had scabs 2mm thick and swollen for over 3 weeks) 2 months later and it is a leathery scar. I also didn't think that I had to bring in a colour swatch for burgundy... they turned out a really bad purple colour that looks like 10 years faded black. Every letter sits at a different axis and is on a different plane. I asked for a partial refund, considering it's not just a few touch ups here and there, and it has to be totally re-done being it is the wrong colour, I will have to go through the healing process again. The owner Michelle told me that she would discuss it and get back to me later, I didn't hear from her at all and called her 2 weeks later. She tried to avoid talking about the refund by telling me that it would be ok to have someone other than Casper touch it up. When I asked about it, she told me that tattoos were non-refundable and that I agreed on the placement!?!?!? I don't have a problem with the placement. I have a problem with the fact that the artist didn't have the ability execute the tracing of the stencil (which by the way only half transferred to begin with) let alone it being the complete wrong colour! I don't think I will be going there for touch ups considering their judgement of professional work. There is a huge difference between "precision body arts" and the should be apprentices they have working at full price. Not the best way to run your business Michelle. I have been to a number of piercing shops in my time and I would have to say that without a doubt this establishment is not only the most professional but also the most helpful and sanitary that I have visited. I have gotten 4 piercings done at this shop so far and I will be very hesitant to go anywhere else. All of my piercings have healed quickly, painlessly, and without complications. I guess you can attribute that to the high quality jewellery that they provide as well as the care and accuracy of the piercers. They make sure to listen and talk me through Any question or concern that I might have regarding my piercings and aftercare. I got a tattoo here from Nomi Chi and it's completely regrettable! It was kind of a tricky but simple tattoo, and she said she was complete comfortable doing it. She was not at all professional or prepared. I don't even mind paying a tattoo artist a higher wage, but the tattoo was AWFUL! I have had a really unpleasant experience at this place. I would only suggest it to someone who is very wealthy and doesn't mind being treated like less than. I sought this place out because I wanted to purchase an BVLA jewelry (which I should've known a place like this would be way too pretentious for someone like me). The website had no prices listed and neither did the jewelry in store. The guy misquoted the price and then when I got to the register it was way more than he originally said but I panicked and just paid. When I got home my earring was super loose and I just didn't like how it spun around so I went in a second time to get it tightened and he assured me that it would not fall out unless yanked. One week later and it literally fell out at the beach- thank god I caught it before I lost it in the sand. I was extremely upset and called to talk to someone - the woman said there was probably a defect and to come in and they'd replace it. So I make my third trip all the way from Bellingham to Vancouver only to be basically looked it like an idiot when the girl goes "you could just put this in yourself." I said I thought someone was going to check it and the guy came out and said it was perfectly fine and that it just came loose! Like why the hell would I purchase an earring that would come loose on it's own for that amount??? Then he asked if I'd been tightening it everyday - literally he never once said I was supposed to tighten it or showed me how to do that. I told them from the beginning, I have no experience or knowledge on piercings - so why would they just assume I knew to tighten it everyday? The guy, Charles, said "it's like your rings, you take them off when you're doing physical activity, right?" I said no, literally never take them off, which is how I thought this earring would be bc Who would spend that much on something that could just fall out for no reason? They treated me like an idiot. I know if I had tons of piercings they'd have handled it differently but I was a very easy target and feel completely taken advantage of. Would not recommend to anyone. read more
