    This company seemed to be the answer to my needs for a used / inspected / tested and working sun…read moreroof module for my late 90's Saturn. After paying over $300. cash on paypal with my American Express card the unit took 3.5 weeks to get to me. The unit was ordered and paid for Sept 11 2011 and arrived Oct 6 2011. After removing the original unit in the car I installed the replacment without the glass in it. The motor was frozen up and did not work. I Could not test the unit before the installatiion because all the wireing in the car. I started inspecting the tracks and found them full of black colored sand and dirt. I took a photo of this for proof. I tried to clean out the tracks in the retracted position.It was then I saw a broken hook shaped plastic part in the passenger side track. I took a photo of that as well. I don't think 409 cleaner and a bottle brush and then gobs of WD40 would break any plastic part. I contacted 6th planet via e mail on 10/25. I was told that customer service would contact me in a week as they're has been a "family emergency". I was not contacted until 11/5. This started a series of emails from me at 1 week intervals trying to inquire as to what they were going to do about honoring the warranty posted on their web site. I was told to leave the unit in until i was contacted in this e-mail: ok George thanks, don't worry leave it in, well get it fixed up instead of hoofing the unit back and forth, oh, crap, well, ups might want to see it, got the broken old unit out of your car still right? if so and we can do this the easiest way is we send you a track for the broken side, these things are super fragile but the tracks are on the driver or passenger side of the car, you mentioned rear, since were talking can you let me know, drivers or passengers messed up? thanks! Joey I did recieve 2 replies in a 1.5 months to my 8 e mails, they were vague as to anything being done to help me. On 11/28 I recieved this e mail in response to my last email telling them If I dont get a real response I will esclate my complaint to American express and Paypal IE: george you are a JERK i have RESPONDED PERSONALLY EVERY TIME, I VERY CLEARLY HAVE MY LAST EMAIL ASKING YOU FOR THE THRID TIME, DID YOU HAVE TJHE PART BOXED UP AND READY FOR RETUNR SHIPEMENT? DONT ACT STUPID LIKE YOU WERENT GETTING THEM, I HAVE A SOPHISTICATED SYSTEM THAT SHOWS YOU GOT EVERY ONE. WHATS YOUR FUCKING GAME ? I don't know who at the parts house sent this, but i I had been contacted by a "Joey" There is a Joe C - Service and site manager listed on the website http://www.6thplanetusedparts.com/ourstaff.html How can I package a unit and leave a big hole in My wifes car roof until they decide to honor a warranty? I can't park the car and wait. At this point I contacted AMEX and of course it was too late to dispute the charge and the same with Paypal. I made one last attempt to ask for some kind of resolution before I contacted the AG in Florida and I got this e mail reply: send the faulty module back im not paying for it, I already told you it worked when I sent it, if it was damaged due to shipping or install its not under our warranty to be clear. next, if it was shipping damage THE CUSTOMER responds to ups, WE don't have any way of knowing if its damaged in shipping till it received and opened by the customer. next, Melissa's contact number is 954-491-01, she insisted that she also saw it boxed up properly AND working, so, where did it get damaged? now, don't threaten me either, the state attorney general HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH A BROKEN PART that's NOT FRAUDULENT, OR ILLEGAL SO GOOD GOD, no wonder our government spending is out of control... to cater to people like yourself that insist its always somebody else's fault that something's not going your way, sorry I don't have 28 hours in a day, but its simply not possible, take some initiative, send it down or start a ups damage if that's why you think it doesn't work, I KNOW it worked when it left here AND TOLD YOU THAT PERSONALLY, did you include that email to the attorney general? thank you! Joey ps,Melissa loves handling customer complaints... I created a you tube video as proof of the damaged unit and have all the original e- mails. OF course all this is My Opinion, except for the opinion about me stated above You decide if you want to throw your money away using the bunch of Idiots I am done with these people. Now their blaming UPS!
