Mainly inhabited by men, and a few women who look thoroughly bored with their lives and quite depressed, ironically, as it's supposed to be FUNFUNFUN (you cant escape the fun)! Arcade Club is an absolute gem - a massive warehouse filled with all kinds of arcade machines and an absolute paradise for anyone who loves gaming. Apparently it's the largest venue of its type in Europe! We came and bought a day ticket which gets you a wrist band for all day access. Once inside, every single game is free to play, and there's enough here to keep you occupied and entertained for a very long time indeed. The ground floor has a mixture of vintage machines, modern games, funfair games and even some VR rigs. You can then head to the first floor where there's a mixture of newer games and funfair games. Up to the second floor and you'll find a huge variety of machines with lots from Japan - dance and rhythm games, pinball machines and lots of 90s classic arcade games. Finally there's the fourth floor, packed with vintage machines like Pac Man, Asteroids, Smash TV and... well, pretty much anything you care to mention. There's a bar on site which also serves pizza in case you get peckish... and you probably will because there's so much to see and play here, you'll be here a very long time. It has been improved many times since with vast entertainment and display areas added. I have only had experience when Whitby Folk Festival virtually take over the complex for one week in August. Wonderful dance and music sessions in the Exhibition Hall and the downstairs pavilion hall and top class performances in the theatre. All ground floor areas have dedicated bars with a good selection of drinks and the main area has a cafe/coffee bar which serves a wide variety of snacks and meals at the appropriate times. The views over the sea are spectacular I am told this is one of the few places in Britain one can actually watch the sun come up and go down over the sea and I can well believe it, having seen some spectacular sunsets and dawns.

You can either have a general play session which lasts at least 2 hours (exhausting), they do birthday parties, parent and toddler sessions and they even have an Over 16's night every Tuesday. This was so much fun, we played SSX Tricky and some other games and we could have spent hours enjoying these while drinking. At one point my husband took some sort of survey online and we ended up with a cup of tokens for free, which was really cool. We had already spent all of the tokens we bought, so we revisited a bunch of games and ended up beating the Simpsons game. This would be a great date night spot or place to come to celebrate a birthday or hang out with a group of friends. I will say, the women's restroom looked really cool and was also painted in blacklight paint (Grogu was on the wall- too cute), but when I visited only one of the stalls had a toilet paper dispenser installed and it was empty. The other stalls looked like the dispensers were ripped from the walls, only one of the restrooms had an almost empty roll of toilet paper sitting behind the toilet and happend to have a hole in the stall leading to the one next to it. I don't know if it was the blacklight lighting or what, but it was a little creepy. We told one of the bartenders, but I made it a point not to go back to the restroom again- ladies maybe go in a group and scope out the TP situation before choosing a stall.
