I have even waited a week before writing the review due to attempts to contact her and to allow myself some time to reflect. After no return calls or messages, I thought it was best to let other potential customers know about our experience. We rent out an AirBnb space and needed a company to clean when we were unavailable. I scheduled Balken Cleaning for a same day turn around on July 5th between the hours of 11AM - 3PM. The price she quoted me included cleaning for the entire space and completed laundry for the linens and towels. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the level of service we received and I attempted to contact Kailee to give her a chance to address the issue personally. I took her word for the services she would provide for the price she quoted, but it seems that she took advantage of knowing that I would be out of town and unable to check up on the work that was done. 1st: BEER EXCHANGE WAS STOLEN! The cardboard pack was very clearly labeled "GUEST BEER EXCHANGE TAKE A BEER/LEAVE A BEER". When I spoke to Kailee regarding this she said that it's their policy to throw out anything remaining from the guests. However, the only thing missing was the beer and there were still condiments in the fridge and food in the freezer. 2nd: LACK OF ATTENTION TO DETAIL. Dead moths in the window sills and smudges on the windows were a dead giveaway that they didn't get everything clean as they promised. 3rd: NO LAUNDRY WAS DONE! We paid for the laundry to be completed. Instead they threw the bed linens into a trash bag, tied it up, and put it in the supply closet. The towels were hanging around in the closet, but they clearly hadn't been washed either. 4th: ALL OF MY CLEANING SUPPLIES WERE STOLEN! I keep my supply closet stocked with the items I use to run our rental, including the cleaning supplies that I use. None of them were found anywhere in the rental. 5th: TARDINESS & LIES: When I checked in around 1PM to see if she had any questions, she said they were just about there. I should have received a phone call to let me know they were running behind. Then they finished in an hour and a half. When asked about the quick timing for the laundry, she said it was all finished. In summary, I do not recommend this company unless you are OK with being taken advantage of, lied to, and stolen from. She told me that she uses a team of 2, herself and her business partner. Well, I am a business owner too (other than the AirBnb) and I do not run our successful business by taking advantage of our customers. Especially for a first experience, it's important to leave a lasting impression so that your customer wants to keep coming back or using your services. We were thinking of potentially using a cleaning company on a regular basis, but after this experience I sadly say that I'm not sure I will be able to trust anyone again. I wish anyone looking for a cleaning service the best of luck, but you should not look into this company because they are not honest.
