Méga Parc - Plenty of small lockers but not enough big lockers

The staff here…read moretake safety precautions seriously and you can tell that they try to make this place enjoyable for everyone. There is a skating rink below for extra pricing. My son was measured over at 44 inches but at home he is below that and my younger son they said he was just over 36 inches so I had to pay more even though I know he is under that height. I didn't argue, I wish I just didn't pay for my younger son as he went on only 2 rides the carousel and the car (which he didn't even want to go on). Anyways, I liked that this place was in the mall so we took lunch break and had food at the food court. Also lots of store options for shopping including Simon's. The boys had a good time and that's all I cared about. My older one enjoyed the bumper cars and the 4D theatre the most.

It's so cool you can do indoor skating inside a small. The ice rink was lit up everywhere with LED and all the rides around it gives off a indoor carnival feeling. There's a washroom along the skating rink where you can walk right in with your skates for easy access. We weren't able to get a big locker because it was all used so we ended up getting 2 smaller. Large locker are $8 and small lockers are $4.00. It's not one time used so you can go in and out of the locker as much you want. No time limit either. Resurfacing the ice takes 30min so you'll need to plan around that. Best to take off your skates and walk around the mall and then come back. It's cool they gave their zamboni a steam punk look.

They also offer an indoor water park as well as other facilities year round. We were here to enjoy the tubing (over 24 tubing lanes), of various excitement level (go for black or double black diamond) and to visit to ice hotel. The staff was very informative and it is best to buy tickets online to avoid the lines. Once in, just scan to enter any of the facilities, REMEMBER to get a UV stamp on your way out just in case you want to reenter. The double and single black diamond runs are very enjoyable, the others might be good for small children or the elderly. The wait isn't too long for individual tube rides. If you want to go for the group rides, those take a lot longer and have minimum rider limits. For the tubing experience, they allow small backpacks and provide indoor areas to enjoy outside food/drinks that you've brought in. Although the have a skating rink, it was closed due to a recent rain, but that would normally be included in the winter experience package. For the Ice Hotel, check their website for the status of the different facilities as they are on a multi-phase opening schedule spanning several weeks. Each individual room is unique, enjoy a slow walk around the hotel and take lots of photos. Definitely recommended for locals! For visitors, just beware of the cost, it is cheaper than a day on the ski hill!

We went to Village Vacances Valcartier for several activities: - Snow Tubing - Ice Hotel (Hotel de Glace) (1) Snow Tubing was fun... but lines were long! Have to grab a snow tube and catch the "ride" up. There are several levels of difficulty (so we obviously went to the easiest trails). My friend and her kid loved Snow Tubing. They were at it for 2 to 3 hours before they got tired. My piggie self went to get snacks and find where the Ice Hotel was. (2) Snacks at Cafe Natura... and there was also booth for Snacks right outside the Ice Hotel. (3) Ice Hotel - this was the most interesting for me. We entered thru the church, restaurant, bar, and the actual ice hotel rooms. Each room was differently themed, super cool! There was also a slide too (long line with mostly kids - but cool to video for memories). (4) Late Lunch at Le Capitaine - I didn't love eating here (in a foodie sense) but there are limited options at Valcartier. We ordered basics - burger, fries, and drinks. Food was okay; enough for eat to live. LOL. Service was friendly. Conclusion - worth a trip! We were staying in old Quebec, so we took an Uber from old Quebec to Village Vacances Valcartier. The ride back was a little difficult (longer wait for Uber), but we were able to find a taxi back at some point. Tip - ask your hotel for a taxi number, so you can call and make a reservation ahead of time. ENJOY!!

There are several pavilions housing their different animals and sea life with hilly walkways between. If you come during the colder months, be sure to dress warmly!!! You will be outside more than you expect, particularly if you want to take in some of the educational and feeding demonstrations. We arrived just in time to catch the polar bear feeding, which is a must-see. You can watch from the higher level where they toss in the food, or the lower level with an underwater view. The staff member who came out to announce the feeding and provide some information did so entirely in French, so bring your French-speaking friend or use your phone translator. Their fish pavilion was lovely. It's small if you're used to a major aquarium, like Monterey, Cali. or SeaWorld. But it is well-done and the lighting in the aquariums really made the sea life look beautiful. I like how they marked each aquarium with the species' threat levels. It was educational for our kids to learn about how biodiversity is threatened. There is an area where you can pet sea rays as well as feed them for a fee. These rays are VERY eager to be fed, so I would not recommend doing the feeding unless you are 100% unafraid of them. Mind you it's perfectly safe, they're just a tad aggressive and might frighten younger guests. There was also foxes, owls, seals, and more. We came at the end of November, which I'm guessing is not their peak season, so there was not a lot of people there and most of the food offerings were closed. There are lots of nice outdoor areas, and I bet this place really sings in the summer when all the plants and trees come back to life. You can see everything they have in probably 2 hours maximum. They have a nice gift shop where any members of your party who have a soft spot for adorable stuffed animals will absolutely lose their minds. Check it out!
