It hung over our driveway, ours and our neighbours houses, the street, and was growing through power lines. Ashley's was one of four companies (of over a dozen) that said they could do it, and one of only two that actually came through with a quote. They were significantly cheaper than their competitor, but it was still a ~$25k removal. Instead of taking our money and running to the bank, Ashley pushed back, and told us we should pursue an alternative with the city. Our tree was a boundary tree, and there were mechanisms in place to make the city share responsibility. We followed Ashleys advice, and 6 months later the tree has been fully removed by the city. We did not have to contract any arborist, but the good honest advice from Ashleys saved us $25k (or $40k, if we'd been stuck with their competitor). They gave ust that advice even though it was against their own best interest. They've won a customer for life through their honesty, and we will absolutely be using them for any future pruning or tree care needs.
