Haunting echoes of choir singing echo through the nave and reverberate throughout its immense interior, save for the isolated "silent room" downstairs, set aside for quiet reflection and prayer. Radiant light, refracted through stained glass portals high above, casts scattered, sparkling patterns across the ancient stone walls and pillars. Tucked away in an alcove, an altar ensconcing several dozen lit and unlit candles stewards the burning memories and prayers of parishioners and visitors alike.
