Boy, am I happy I did! Through Instagram I found Sam and immediately fell in love with an available flash piece she had posted on her IG story. I decided to reach out through email that night because I couldn't stop thinking about how cute it was. She got back to me the next day telling me the piece was still available-- woohoo! We shot a few friendly emails back and forth about size, color, and pricing (she works for ~120 an hour) and worked out an available time later in the week. This isn't my first rodeo with tattoos, so believe me when I tell you I could NOT BELIEVE how comfortable she made me feel the whole time (it was like chilling with an old friend). Even better, the tattoo was the least painful I have EVER gotten. I even pointed out that I couldn't believe how little pain I was experiencing. Whoever taught her, taught her well. Laurent's work is simply beautiful. He was certain to explore what I was looking for in design, give me his input when I asked for it and ensure that I was happily with the design prior to having it inked. I felt at ease during the process as Laurent was able to chat when I was I wanted to but worked quietly when I needed to have time to leave off on conversation. While his overall manner was what I needed, the quality of the work was what stood out the most. My Asian inspired tattoo ran from my foot to just above my knee and was completed in only two sessions. Beth, however, was prepared and got a water bottle in my hand and a fan going within seconds. We had a delightful chat for about 15 minutes afterwards as I recovered. They are clean and very professional. Both tattoo artists have portfolios available to view so you can get an idea of their style before deciding on which artist to go with. I suggest making an appointment because they get booked up REALLY fast, especially during the peak days (Fridays and Saturdays). They also accept walk-ins but you may want to call ahead to see if they are busy. They've got TONS of designs on the walls but you can bring in your own design, or pictures of something you like, and they'll customize it at no extra cost! They do piercings and airbrush t-shirts (they can airbrush pretty much anything). One of the things I like the most about this place is that they have separate rooms for everything- tattoos, piercings, airbrushing, etc. The rooms also have doors so you don't have to worry about lurkers peeking in while you get a tattoo or piercing in a "private" area, or if you just don't want an audience while you get your tattoo or piercing.
