I'm one of those dog owners that completely spoils my pet. He wears cool handkerchiefs, he (sometimes) gets cooked chicken with his dry food, he has a dog walker, and so it's perfectly natural that he goes to doggy daycare. Aqualife is super conveniently located to our home, walking distance in fact, and Hank's been there a few times.
The facility is pretty nice. There reception area is cute and clean and the dog play area is indoors with cement flooring. The only problem I have is that there's no area for Hank to pee/poop. He's trained to go on grass (or even pebbles, astroturf), but he won't go on the hard floor because he's housebroken and associates that with going indoors. So, being there all day means he won't go. The other dogs however, will go and as a result, Hank comes home smelling a little like pee pee.
The staff there is really friendly though, and I'm told that they mop the floor as soon as a dog urinates or poops. While this isn't my ideal spot, there is something to be said for convenience and the fact that I know my dog is cared for while he's there. read more
