And, of course, being the introvert that I am, instead of asking my new neighbors where they got theirs, I just searched our neighbourhood's local Facebook group instead for a water delivery listing. Haha. Zoie Water Station was the only one that popped up in my search (my requirement was a store that has a cellphone number as I don't have a landline). And so that was how I became Zoie's Water customer I used to just purchase purified drinking water, but after learning more about the benefits of alkaline water (it's really great for your health!), I started purchasing alkaline instead. Their water here is cheaper than most water stations. A blue container (with the faucet) of purified water is only Php 25, while alkaline is just Php 40. Free delivery for a minimum of 2 containers. Good deal.

Living Water offers three types of water: purified, mineral, and alkaline. Each type has its own benefits. Three years of ordering water from this store and I haven't experienced any water-borne disease. That leads me to conclude that their product is really safe for drinking. But, an added bonus is the prompt and cheerful service of the delivery crew (especially Robert). Their smiles and greetings can make you feel that any given day has started well and is going well.

I live very near the Ortigas area and I usually do my work in various cafes. Well, as you may know…read morethe reliability of the internet/WiFi here, there ar time when it just doesn't work out for me for a myriad of reasons. My problems range from the spotty wi-fi, no printer/scanners, loud noises while trying to make a phone call, no noise while trying to make a phone call, fear of getting my stuff stolen when I need to have a restroom break. The list goes on and on! Enter A Clean and Well-Lighted Place, all those reasons went out the door. I literally dropped by their space one day after the cafe I was working in lost their WiFi connection. Annoyed and frustrated, I used my last bit of 3G to search for a co-working space near me. Their site popped up and I started walking. I arrive on the 27th floor and saw the clearly lit signage! The place is, yes, very well-lit and it's quite spacious. Since I was a walk-in, I didn't need my own private space and there is more than enough space here to get my work done. They have conference rooms and a pantry with a very good coffee machine. I loved that it was quiet but not "library quiet". What impressed me the most is the WiFi connection! Holy Moly! It was so fast! I felt so efficient and productive. Too bad I already arrived pretty late in the afternoon. Seriously, having steady, fast WiFi does wonders with getting work done. Loved it! Right now, the rate is Php100 per hour even though you plan to stay the whole day. But, with their WiFi and location in Ortigas, it's reasonable especially if I really really need to get work done!

I have used this facility twice already and both visits were very productive for me because a) the WiFi was fast and b) the area was very quiet even though the ThinkPod area was fully occupied. If you are not a member, they also offer a daily ThinkPod rate.

Roots is an avenue for the locally owned businesses to sell their products (food, clothing, drinks,…read moreetc.). They also have a small coffee shop called MAD coffee (they sell locally produced beans from around PH as well). I went here a couple of times to study for my exam, but the work space here seems better for those who have small-scale businesses or those who prefer to work in a more collaborative environment. The first three hours of use for the workspace is free, but there is a rate for staying longer. I would definitely come back here to buy locally produced goods (especially Nipa Brew beer and Hiraya chocolates from Davao) and maybe stay for a while to get a good cup of coffee. :)

Yes, they came after office hours, but for the work done and the price they charged, I thought it was very unfair. They even left leaks that weren't there before and which they didn't fix.
