I cannot overstate what a fabulous meal we had here. We came pretty far out of our way to see a painting in Braunshweig and stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Wolfstadt. I found this place and made a reservation months in advance. We have eaten at Noma and dozens of Michelin starred restaurants including some much more expensive three-star joints. This food was magnificent, the pacing and service perfect and the chef came out and had a nice visit with us (our 48th anniversary). Truly epic. One of the best meals you'll ever have. From start to finish, absolutely first class. Some items were absolutely memorable delicious (like the goose foie gras and the rose sorbet) and some were simply delicious. Well worth the price, and worth the trip just to eat here. Aqua- a top 50 in the middle of the country I decided to come here after making plans to come to Berlin for the first time. I've always wanted to rent a big body Benz and ride out on the autobahn. Deciding to do just that, I made my final destination Aqua. Glad I did. After almost a 2 hour on the autobahn (hit a top speed of 130mph) we arrived to Aqua. The location is interesting as it at the VW car headquarters, nestled in the Ritz Carlton. The service was incredible the food smelled delicious right when you walked in. The desert was the most spectacular due mostly the the paired flavoring. It was endless deserts made with fresh fruits, flowers, and what can only be described as Evergreens. Wow! One of the best tasting menus I have been to, Food exceptional! Everything I tried was better than expected.. Service would get a 6 star if that was possible, celebrating my wife's birthday month and she was impressed. I came here late last year with Volkswagen, so I'm unsure of the exact price, but I believe food alone is a 200-300 Euro per person. You get a personalized 9 or 10 course meal with small plates for each course, but I won't get into all of them. Menus are personalized and change throughout the days and weeks. Chef Sven also comes out at the end to chat with everyone, which is a nice touch. The highlights for me were the Charcoal Grilled Belly of Young Pork and Neck of Japanese Wagyu Beef. Both were delectable and really memorable. However, some of the other courses weren't up to par for a 3 star Michelin restaurant. I'm also not used to things like 'Foam of fried potatoes', and even though I'll eat anything, some of the combinations seemed very...interesting. It's worth the experience if you're truly into unique food, but the sheer price makes it so I can't give it an amazing rating. read more

Truly, 3 Michelin Star Worthy!! Superb experience! Each plate was truly a work of art and delicious. The service was impeccable! The wine pairing was exceptional. We splurged and did the 9 course dinner & pairing. It was totally worth every cent and we would do it all over again. Chef Elverfeld emerged from the kitchen to greet guests and that was the icing on the cake to a phenomenal dining experience.
