Absolutely the worst company I have ever done business with. It's a joke. They told me 3 times I was paid in full then sent billings to a collections agency before sending me bills. I will never, ever use them again. I would gladly pay more at another supplier before I buy anything from this company again. I have called them several times to resolve the billing issues and to get their collections calls to stop. The calling center people don't have the ability to resolve issues nor do they know why billings are sent out. Apria is everything wrong with our health care system. If only it were possible to give negative stars. We had an account with April for a c-pap machine that we did not even use - that we tried to cancel since September 2020 - due to non- use and loss of job. This company has the worst customer service I have experienced in my life - the customer service manager agreed to settle the account for $68 - the machine was dropped off and a receipt showing zero balance was provided. Two times after this we have received an additional billing - staff will not let you speak to manager - they parrot everything you say and it is an hour frustrating conversation that gets you no-where. Next call is to Better Business Bureau - you should see their list of complaints. Avoid at all costs - Doctors office cannot help us - they have disassociated with them due to their terrible service. Apria for years was my go to place. Parents used them etc. Haven't done review in awhile and I know it will not change nothing but heres my opinion as it stands now. I have sleep Apnea so I require supplies often. Well one year they charged my card around $100 which should never have happened I have and had good insurance well I call and ask why I was charged was told that my insurance info vanished basically . I was like Im on fixed income I need that money back gave them insurance info again. Was told once insurance covers it ill get refund it will take 6 weeks I wasnt happy at all but no choice later I still hadnt received nothing told wait longer so I did. Long story shorter no refund and told waited to long not in system blah blah they have my money from that. I sure they took double insurance and me . Next I do automated reorder system atleast 3 more times no new supplies . I normally get email on all deliveries so ready for them but nothing from apria had to spend money out of pocket on amazon for supplies. Im considering having them come get tanks and concentrator out my home. Customer service is a joke now. I got more mail from cpap reorder stuff but whats point with service you get now 5 stars down to 1. Founder must be proud now service with a middle finger. read more

Absolutely THE worst home medical supplier in the Salt Lake area. For being in the United Healthcare network one would expect better customer service. After over 7 different calls between my dr office and 4 different fax numbers, we are over a week waiting for critical oxygen and no response. The only thing this company is good at is keeping people on hold for over 20 minutes at a time and then "educating" the caller on the company's internal processes which obviously do not work. If you can choose another home healthcare equipment provider do so--someone like Alpine. Unfortunately Alpine is not in UHC's network. Apria is horrible. 1 star is too many. read more

Such a nightmare to deal with. They consistently miss delivery/pickup windows, calling for help is a joke because it's a call center full of people with no authority to fix problems. I waited for over a month for my child's oximeter probes during which time I couldn't use the oximeter that Apria was charging my insurance for. It's a disaster. Just go with anyone else. read more

Agent Brandi at this location, is acutely and violently verbally abusive. Verbal one-upmanship. Talking over the top of you. Keeps grudges. Rude. Hands up on you. Laughs at you. Absolutely abusive patient relations and patient care. Absolutely, abusive. Avoid this retrograde place. Furthermore, when my insurance says things are covered no problem, this place doesn't trust what they are repeatedly told by insurance companies. "Yes, there's coverage for canes with my insurance. Yes, there's coverage for inhaler spacers." Verified again, and again, and again, with my insurance. But this place only trusts their Broken Computer which gives Wrong Info on this front. But above and beyond all this, don't forget about the Verbal Abusive you can and and shall receive from Brandi. Also when calls are routed to their Ogden office, that office hangs up on people too. Too bad you can't give 0 stars! My son broke his tibia (you know, largest bone in your body) and was prescribed a wheelchair. They rattled off a list of home health agencies that we could fill that at and we made the mistake of going with these guys. It took over a week to process the prescription (hint: if it's oxygen you need at home- don't choose these guys!). If you hate call centers - don't choose these guys! They handle all their billing and appointments through a call center. They demanded our co-pay over the phone before they would even consider processing our prescription, so we paid it even though we are maxed out. Our insurance told us to call them back and have them refund it. More call center - yay! They said it'll take 2-4weeks for the payment to post, so they can't refund it until then. What a joke. There has to be a better home health agency out there. Oh, and though I'm pretty sure they deliver equipment, she made me agree that I could go pick it up myself too. When I got to the facility, I saw their mission statement and the first part said something about speedy service. I had a good little chuckle to myself. Hope we don't have any more hiccups with them. The wheelchair is in great condition, that's the only nice thing I have to say. read more

I needed a knee a scooter for a foot surgery this week. I had read reviews about Apria and actually decided I'd rather just buy one than go thru them. The one i ordered was defective and had to be returned. I had no choice but to follow up with Apria, as this is where my doc sent the Rx for the scooter. I went in and was pleasantly surprised! SUPER helpful and friendly!! The guy that brought out the scooter, went above and beyond to adjust my scooter and even carried it out and loaded it in my car. The gal that assisted me actually sat down and talked to me about what i was going to be having done! I also told her how hesitant i was to go there because of all the negative comments. She apologized for the horrible reviews and said they were quite embarrassing. She then went on to tell me why they had such bad issues and how things had been corrected! Annette is right, it is too bad you can't leave -5 stars. I currently work for a pediatric clinic in SLC and constantly have to deal with Apria Health Care. I would like to give a little insight to what we deal with on a regular basis. We recently had a patient who was just 4 days old who had a bili level of 18.5. We faxed an order over to Apria immediately because it was the only DME company that provides home health care services because of the insurance held by our patient. Right after the order was faxed, our head MA called Apria to confirm they had received it, which they had. When we asked when the patient should be expecting the bili bed/phototherapy, they replied with, "24-48 hours" This is UNACCEPTABLE. 24 hours previous the bili level of this baby was at 14.2. In just 1 day it had gone up to 18.5! At this point, we wanted to just send our patient to the ER to receive adequate help. However, our patient is under Medicaid and would not be able to afford a trip to the ER at this time. After speaking to 5, yes, FIVE employees over the span of 4 hours, waiting on hold for over 2 hours and being transferred back and forth, we made NO progress whatsoever. This company is encouraging bad medicine and should have been shut down years ago. I see no point in anyone or any company pursuing their medical needs here. Again, I wish I could give Apria Health Care -5 stars. read more
