It's debatable. 3 stars? 4 stars? Came by on Monday 6:30pm, to purchase garden soil 5/$10, but it…read morewas all sold out. I was walking towards the garden gate, female sale associate was pulling down the gate. I asked her if she's able to check when they will refill on stock. She asked if I like to come in and she can ask the guys. My mom and I went in, she closed the gates and forgot about us. I don't know where she left to. I found a young male associate (20-25, round fair skin baby face), asked him, he was very detailed. Told me they will receive shipment tonight and about 2000 in stock. Came in next morning at 9:30am, only 14 bags were left! There was an older Hispanic associate, asked if I'm able to purchase the rest of them. He didn't understand me, pointed towards the register. I went to the register, asked the lady there (Amelia), am I able to purchase the remaining bags? She said yes. I did ask if I'm able to purchase 20 in total and they save the 6 bags for me to come pick up the next day, she didn't understand my question. I didn't want to keep explaining. So I just purchase the 14 bags. With receipt in hand, I asked the older Hispanic associate if he can help bring the bags to my car. Bags were on a flat bed. I wasn't sure if I can take the flat bed or what..??? He told me no he can't. I went back to Amelia, I asked if there's someone that can help me bring the soil to my car. And she sounded surprised that I needed help. I waited 5-10 minutes until someone came to help me. Another male associate, 23-28 oval face glasses ear length wavy hair told me I can pull up my car right by the gate and have the trunk open and he'll load the soil in. He notice one of the bags had a tiny hole in it. He told me he's going to come back with adhesive tape and seal the hole. He was really nice and professional.

The "proof" of delivery photo in the confirmation email shows only the 2 items, NOT the missing 3 items. Called customer service, navigated ridiculous phone menu, finally got through and agent disconnected my call. Called again, same thing finally navigated through phone menu, got through to an agent, disconnected. Tried customer service chat, after 45 minutes back and forth (multiple times I had to ping "hello" to the agent after a LONG pause with no response), agent said my remaining items would be delivered. They were not. Did a chat to support again next day, chatted with agent, agent seemed to be helping me, but 45 minutes later, chat stopped working, no refund, no items, unable to connect with any agents via chat. Called customer service. Over 30 minutes later, agent said he tried calling the store and store wouldn't pick up so he told me I would have to call the store myself - that I would have "more time" to do so. Asked to speak to his supervisor, supervisor "Chris" disconnected the call. Called the store, phone rang for 37 minutes straight, finally someone answered. He said he would see to it that my items are delivered and would knock some off the bill. We will see. If you choose to order anything from homedepot.com, good luck to you. Worst customer service experience I've had in years.

We needed a part replaced on our Thor range. After filtering for repair services in the area that…read morework on this brand, the list was very small. Several never responded at all. Thor's own certified service providers were no better (one declined the brand, the other ghosted). Gold Standard had 259 five-star reviews, so my wife reached out through Yelp on November 20. It took two weeks and a follow-up message (plus a voicemail) before Cristhian responded. He came out on December 8, diagnosed the issue, and quoted us $272.30 + tax for the part and $310 for labor. We paid $85 for the diagnosis and told him to go ahead and order the part. Then, silence. My wife followed up on December 16. No response. Again on December 18, this time saying we'd find someone else if he couldn't commit to a date. He finally replied, saying the part was backordered and wouldn't arrive until mid-to-late January. We said we'd wait. Late January came. My wife followed up again. Cristhian said he'd call the supplier "real quick." A few days later he reported the supplier wasn't answering his calls or emails. He said he'd look into alternatives. My wife followed up again on February 10, offering to source the part herself if he'd just tell her the part number. No response. On February 28, after three months of this, we sent a final message letting him know we were moving on. Cristhian never replied. Summary: we paid $85 for a diagnosis, got a quote that was never acted on, sent roughly ten messages over three months, and received maybe four replies. The part was apparently never procured. His phone always went to voicemail. I'm writing this because the 5-star rating doesn't reflect our experience. Hopefully Cristhian will respond and resolve the issue quickly, and/or refund the $85 diagnosis fee.

Later, I had another problem as the fridge started making an odd noise. Initially, Vadym suspected it was the compressor fan, but the issue persisted. This issue had actually been lingering for a long time, I had at least four or five other companies came to diagnose the noise issue, each offering different quick opinions--some barely inspected it and suggested immediate part replacements, others insisted the fridge needed to be pulled out (which is a big job for a built-in unit) and fix from the back of the fridge. But none felt confident, they all rushed to conclusions without a proper diagnosis. Vadym stood out by taking the time. He thoroughly examined the fridge and, when the issue persisted, he consulted his network instead of guessing. Eventually, he figured out the noise was caused by the condenser pipe and water pipe being too close, which caused vibration when the compressor kicked in. In the end, he fixed it. What I truly appreciated was his commitment, he didn't rush to a quick guess; he invested time, asked for input, and returned until it was resolved. I would highly recommend Vadym and Metro Appliance to others.

UPDATE: Triton finally called me back and was able to issue the reimbursement for the compressor…read more Thanks to Mario for following up after my review and working to make it right. Appreciate it! My LG refrigerator died recently and I needed it repaired ASAP. Triton was able to come the soonest so I went with them. They came right away and fixed the problem- the fridge needed a new compressor. So far so good. The job ended up costing around $1350. $950 for the labor and $400 for the part. Super expensive I know but still cheaper than getting a new fridge. The problem was that the compressor was still under warranty and the repair man said that they could reimburse us for the part if we call LG to have them replace it after the fact. He assured me that this is common practice and he's done it several times before. Ok so I pay them, call LG, give them all the info they asked for and they say they will send Triton the new part in 3-4 weeks. A month goes by and I call Triton about the reimbursement. The guy says he needs to check with his warehouse or inventory manager or something to see if the part arrived and would call me back. I never heard back. I tried again the next week. Same thing- he needs to check with his inventory guy and will get back to me. No call back. I call again and you'll never guess what happened. Yes same story. And now I am writing this review because I'm starting to think I'm not getting that $400 back. Ugh. Still I can't give only 1 star bc they did fix it and they were courteous the whole time they were here. 2 stars it is.

If you go with triton for the repair, they will wave the initial inspection fee. Will be using them again.

Washer Repair. CASH OR CHECK ONLY…read more Desperate as usual when a major appliance, my washer, malfunctioning! My usual repair person was not picking up phone calls or emails. Others also non-responsive. So was not expecting much when I left a message especially since it had a not available greeting. Left a message anyway and, holy moly, Greg from Quality Appliance Repair Service (QARS) called me back within minutes!!!!!! Greg Barca explained his current limitations but offered to come by to look at my washer. A metal wire circle had popped out and it wouldn't let me close the door for any loads. Greg arrived within 15 minutes and was nice, personable and chock full of information that was very useful. He looked at the wire circle and popped it back into place. Checked out the machine by running a quick short load. Also looked at my dryer because of concern for a clogged dryer vent. He popped out the bottom panel and looked it over, as well as checking the flow of the outside dryer vent. Looked good! I was grateful and appreciative that QARS was able to come out immediately and address my washer repair need. Greg knows what he's doing and explains as he goes. I do believe he delivered value for the job under the circumstances but most would argue I could have done it myself. I am far from a DIYer. If I thought I could have done it myself I would not have have felt the need to call. Hence I am happy with QARS! Only caveat is QARS accepts Cash or Check only. This was one of the few times that I had cash on hand so, thank goodness, it all worked out! I would not hesitate to call QARS for future repairs but will make sure to have cash or check on hand.
