Wanting a nice summerhouse for the garden we were impressed with Appletree Bespoke's website and bought a Shepherd's Hut from them which they were to install. I was initially pleased with the shed Appletree Bespoke provided and their service despite Russell Nichols (the owner I think) cancelling delivery on two occasions the day before he was due to come. Felt all looked good after installation so I handed over the cash and reassured when Russell said any problems give him a bell. Well, a few days later I started noticing a few issues... There are large knots in the wood which causes one of the doors to warp on warm days and not close properly. In wet weather the both doors swell and do not fit in the door frame without forcing them, I then can't lock them. The strike plate on one door wasn't recessed, to get round this I notice part of the opposite door had been shaved away - looks awful a total bodge. So I phoned Russell, no worries he said I'll make you a new set and agreed a date to replace them. He never made the date so a new date was set which he missed again. He's stopped answering his phone to me so I have to text him, each time he sets a date but never comes This has been going on for the best part of two years. What a joke! Some people might consider these minor but as I paid Russell £2,600 I expect better service. I'm not a joiner and have no way of correcting these issue so if I want it resolved I'll have to pay someone. So this is my experience of using Appletree, my advice to anyone considering using them is to look elsewhere. read more
