Just as importantly , they don't annoyingly pester tge clients into doing things.. my daughter doesn't want to do the things the others so and is not bothered by people telling her what she NEEDS to do. Which is refreshing cuz she can do as she pleases, she's grown. It's daycare not prison. Beware when choosing a place for your loved ones.go there and see if the clients seem content or are they anxious? This is a good daycare for your adult loved ones while you work. This daycare even has a nap room which I think is essential for an establishment that deals with the elderly and disabled. There's always at least one nurse there at all times it's a great place. If they screw up I'll update this right away. My daughter went for about a year before covid then was kept home for a year and a half and just started again with the same great people. My only complaint is the stupid temp check. My child has many problems, extreme anxiety being one of them and her temp shows as high because she's upset about the temp checks and gets herself worked up and crying on the way there. All employees and clients should be vaccinated or not allowed inside. The cdc as well as every intelligent person who knows anything at all about anything but this is just covid at the moment we're talking about. Most people with covid don't show symptoms if they do, including a fever, they've been contagious for days and have already infected everyone. So instead of the useless temp check it should be mandatory vaccination for all. TLC took clients to be vaccinated. I personally thank them and wish everyone would just get vaccinated and shut up with the nonsense. If you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem.

She propped my baby's bottle at 6-10 weeks old so she could fold kitchen towels for the family we shared her with. Mind you she only had 2 babies in total to care for! CA regulation mandates holding an infant while feeding for safety, bonding and nurturing. I walked in and my baby was choking as my breast milk ran down her face. She was kicking her legs and flailing her arms, struggling to self feed. Her neck always smelled of spit up and when I asked Melissa about this, she indicated there was no spit up and she had no idea why she smelled that way. It was due to her not being held for her 4 feedings a day while my milk ran down her face as she struggled with the flow of the bottle nipple at 6-10 weeks old :(. Every morning that I come in I get zero acknowledgement from the lady at the front desk. I mean literally not a word. I can come in and out, see her talking to literally everyone else, but never speaks to me. This morning I stood at the door and said "bye, thank you!" Three times and was blatantly ignored. Another girl heard me (after slightly yelling the third time) and said "thank you, bye!" With a smile, but still nothing from the front desk lady. It is very frustrating that there isn't even common courtesy given by this person, especially when you see her talking to other people like they're best friends. Is your job not at the VERY LEAST be friendly and say hello or goodbye to the parents that come in and out? I mean you can't even LOOK in my direction when I talk to you. I can't comprehend this. It honestly makes me wonder throughout the day if my son is being treated fairly, being that I feel I am not. She is straight up rude & I would not recommend taking your child here if you would like to be treated like a regular human being when you go in/out. The Gulf Coast Humane Society (GCHS) is a shining beacon of hope for Corpus' homeless pet…read morepopulation. Without it, there would be a many stray cat and dog without any chance of going on to have a better quality of life. Firstly, the Humane Society: The Humane Society is a non-profit organization with a mission of helping neglected and abused animals. They have a good cause, and for that, I support them as a whole. I have looked into their mission, and they are pretty straightforward, without any weird ideological angle or catch. I am very biased towards the Humane Society, as that is where I adopted my household firstborn, Pinto (my English/American Bulldog / Dogue De Bordeaux mix). I will give you some backstory on him, just to give you an idea of the lengths they will go to for their rescues. Pinto was found at about 10 weeks of age by a construction worker in Southeast Houston. He was emaciated, worm-riddled and covered with mange. The kindhearted man brought him to the Houston Humane Society, where they diligently treated his skin condition, and brought him to great health. Now, the GCHS is just as great a branch as any Humane Society location. However, you must understand that Corpus has a real problem with neglected, homeless, and roaming pets. Not that this is a problem exclusive to this city, but if you lived here, you would notice that it is pronounced. There are many ways to support the Humane Society. You can volunteer, donate pet food (try to make sure it is "grain free" please) or blankets to your local one, or you can also donate directly to them. They make it very easy to setup one-time or recurring donations directly from your bank account if you wish to do that. It is the time of year to be thoughtful and considerate. Perhaps you want to give to a good cause. This would be one of them, IMO. Also, if you are in the market for a new companion, consider adopting one from here. Adopt, don't shop!
