This Applebee's has good service as in the waiters and waitresses. But the food and appetizers were all ice cold. The entire meal was $105.60 and the manager offered free dessert, but we personally didn't want dessert. Instead of comping at least half of the entrees he only took $15 dollars off the bill. Do not go here. If you have an out of state license they will check their "book" and for some reason my license was declined and they wouldn't accept it as a valid form of ID and would not let me have any alcoholic beverages. Don't waste your time here. I came out expecting to have a good time and have a beer with some friends but instead getting embarrassingly declined and have to sit there like the forth wheel. This place was terrible. I ordered the "perfect" margarita. They give the martini shaker with it so it looks like you are getting more for your money. This is not the case. I used to bartend so I can tell when a drink is not made properly. She used a JIGGER which I understand corporate places tend to make the bartender use them. But there is an art to using a jigger. While you empty the jigger contents into the drink, you should let a little extra flow from the bottle. In this case, she tried to hold a steady hand a spilled a bunch of the alcohol onto the bar and not in the drink. The menu said lime juice, but they used sour mix. Not only was it really weak and full of sour mix, but this whole concept of giving you the shaker just allows for the weak drink to become weaker as it gets watered down sitting on ice. Not a fan of this place. You will have a better time across the way at the Uno's...because that is exactly where I went after I paid for the drink I took 2 sips out of and left. read more

We have been here many times and have had different experiences. It seems if you go around lunch time that is when the service is the worst. The food is not well prepared and the wait is ridiculous to get your food. Their prices have increased on some items and they have changed their menu quite a bit. Recently when we went for dinner service was pretty decent, we didn't have to wait too long, and the food was very good. The cleanliness of this place is not that great either they could definitely keep the floors much cleaner. Overall this place is a hit or miss it seems and it's a chance you are taking when you choose to eat here. read more

My wife and I come here every other week now for a long lunch on a friday before a movie. You cannot beat the prices here. The food is much better than it was at the chain a few years ago and the drinks are great. They also have cheap drinks that are pretty good. read more

This was by far the worst dining experience we have had in a long time. The waitress was amazingly unattentive and completely oblivious to provided anything that resembled good service. She was consistent. Right from the beginning she was late and the service was poor throughout. Food was luke warm when it arrived and the portions were disappointing. My dish was to include artichoke but not even a nibble was found. My 7 year old granddaughter was with us and order the kids burger which was a joke. Our waitress remarked how small it was and offered to order another which she did. I was surprised to see the she charged us double for the kids burger. Beverage refills were requested and never came, after waiting nearly 1:15 to get the check only to be passed by at least 6 times we finally just paid using the kiosk. All around terrible. You should be ashamed at you training and quality control. I'm quite sure if an audit were done by corporate there would be reasons for concern. Very disappointed and very unlikely to return. After having gone to the Auburn location a few times and not being disappointed, I thought the food would at least be decent. We were greeted and seated right away. My Husband and I both ordered the tall Margarita. I think they might have forgotten the alcohol...While taking our food order the waitress laughed at my Husband when he ordered my Cedar Salmon as "Cedar plank salmon". We must have missed the joke. Our meals arrived looking pitiful. My Husbands shrimp salad (Asian I believe) was ridiculously small for a meal. My cedar salmon meal, although being seasoned very well, was not only small but over cooked to the point of being dry. The small pile of diced potatoes were watery and the steamed spinach placed on top was almost non existent. There was no seasoning whatsoever on the veggies. I love vegetables and only had one bite. I'm not being overly critical. I get that it's pub food and its a chain. I didn't expect a fine dining experience, but the food should at least be palatable. The waitress never returned to ask us even once if we wanted anything else or if everything was ok. She just brought the bill. Then asked "Do you need change?" If that change was going to be your TIP it certainly isn't now that you so rudely asked. I'm in the service industry. How about "I'll be right back with your change" at which point the patron can reply "It's all set. Keep the change" recap...thumbs down on service, drinks, food, portions, value. We won't be back and we will not recommend it. The next time we head to Sturbridge to see a movie it will be UNOs or Cracker Barrel for us. read more

This restaurant is horrible. Stay away. Ordered a bowl of New England clam chowder and when it was brought to the table it was more like a shot glass of clam chowder not a bowl. I asked the waitress if this was a cup or a bowl and she said it only comes in one size which I didn't understand as in the menu it had cup or bowl. I asked her if the charge was for the bowl of 5.79 and she said yes. I asked her to return it as I was not going to pay 5.79 for a shot glass of clam chowder. There wasn't even enough soup for the oyster crackers to absorb. The romaine lettuce was not fresh and bitter in the salad. My parents ordered cheeseburgers and fries and the fires were not even edible. They were so hard, couldn't t chew them. Also, it was so cold in the restaurant everyone was complaining and eating with thier coats on. Stay away. Try another restaurant in the area. This restaurant is over priced, no quantity of food and you will leave hungry and the quality is horrible. read more

I have been there at least 10 times this winter. Food is always consistently good. The prices are great, as are some of their special drink offerings. Will continue to go there on a regular basis. Love the New Orleans menue selections that have been added, as well as Burger Monday. read more

Don't place a pick-up order!!! Went there and there weren't any parking spaces, which would normally be fine because the have the Applebee's Car Side to go (which I have used at other locations) but they were filled up as well. I noticed that no one was in their cars which I thought was a bit odd. So after I parked in the next parking lot over I walked in and was greeted with a friendly hello by three people. I said I was there to pick up an order and they directed me to the end of the bar through the restaurant, I thought that was weird as well because if I normally go into one to pick up they grab it for me. So I go to the end of the bar and said I was there to pick up an order and the girl I talked with said she didn't do those (then what do you do???) so I waited for another waitress while I was looking at my food 3 feet away from me just to sign a receipt. When I finally got home I open the bag and I open the box for my burger and fries and the first thing I noticed were no fries.... And the second thing was it had the wrong cheese (not a huge deal but a disappointment none the less). So after taking my wife's food out I found my fries at the bottom in a paper bag thing ( it's like the ones you get pretzels in) and they are cold and smushed. Whatever..... So I dive into my burger and the Bacon was perfect, cheese ehh and the burger was pink on the outside and cooked in the middle.... I have never eaten a burger like that.... Usually they are pink towards the center..... And I ordered it well done. But overall they suck. Mixed up my order, didn't package my food well and have very little customer service. I won't be going there again and plan to tell anyone I encounter that is planning to go there not to. I'd drive to the Worcester one before I'd go there again. read more
