I came with a group of 7 and got some sort of bbq brisket tacos, Super yummy. The waitress was sweet and 4 of us ended up staying and chatting for a long time so the manager came up and asked us how our night was and you could tell they maybe needed the larger table for a different group so anyway he asked if the 4 of us could move to smaller table and he offered us free desserts. Such a nice gesture for something we totally didnt mind doing!! We had lunch at the Lewiston location today. The food was good but the service was not. The waiter sat us at a dirty table and when we told him we moved because it was dirty he didn't apologize and just said it was ok. When he brought our appetizer he didn't ask if we wanted small plates for our wings so we ate off the same plate. He did check on us but my husband had to ask for more iced tea. Like McDonalds, you know you can go anywhere in country and get consistency in the food and atmosphere. Its the same everywhere you go. I know I can get what I expect, mediocre meal with consistent flavor. If there isnt a Buffalo Wild Wings in town to go to where I can get same consistency but in a high energy atmosphere and tons more flavor, I can settle for an Applebee's and get a consistent flavor in a low energy place. Our visit started out great with a friendly hostess and immediately getting water. We sat there for about 10 minutes after looking at the menu waiting to order our 2 apps, salad and drink. It took her another 5 minutes to come take our order, and then didn't start making my drink until another 5 minutes went by. Now I would not have an issue with this if it were busy, but there was hardly anyone at the restaurant and she just stood at the bar chatting most of the time. Once we finally got our 2 apps and salad--20 minutes after we ordered it--the apps weren't even warm and my salad plate had dried food on it. One of the worst experiences. Started out fine. Seated in the bar. Barely any interaction with our server. Someone else brought food, fixed mistake, bussed our plates. Finally stopped someone else to ask for drink refills. Finally got servers attention to order dessert. Someone else also brought that. Another mistake made on dessert . Server was also working the bar (which had 5 guest which consisted of two groups) in addition to 2 or 3 tables. Too busy talking and serving the gentlemen at the bar. Fine. Food was also not good. Went for lunch at the Lewiston, ID location on Saturday, April 10, 2021. The hostess sat us at the first table near the door, which is an area that they can obviously see, but yet the table was dirty and the floor around the table was seriously flithy. It was just really gross. We should have left at that point but we were starving. It took our server 15 minutes before we were greeted and when I asked if he could clean off the table he said that wasn't his job but would have a hostess do it. Took another ten minutes or so for her to wipe off the table. After taking our food order it took 45 minutes for our food and when it was finally brought to the table our fries weren't on the plate and we were told that they weren't ready yet and would be brought out soon...20 minutes later we had our fries. He never came back and asked how the food was or refilled our drinks. The food tasted fine, nothing special, but it was fine. The cleaniness (it looks like this place hasn't been cleaned properly in months!) and professionalism of the staff is terrible. At one point another server came up to the hostesses and yelled at them that they weren't seating her area right and told them to "get their sh*t straight" and there were people standing near them waiting to be seated. Also, the two girls working the host stand would sit at the table directly across from ours when there wasn't customers and just chat and gossip about other employees. They always make my hot wings either not the right hot or not hot enough, mozzarella sticks came to us kinda cold and had them bring us fresh ones. I have gone to this Applebee's twice over the past year. Once was with my partner about three months after they opened, and the second time was with a group of friends. The food was below average and the service was atrocious. Prices are slightly spendy, and with the amount of selection available in the L/C Valley, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else. read more

Sky S. was our server, he was friendly and efficient. It was a very busy night for the restaurant but Sky (we waited an hour for our food) was diligent in stoping by our table to check on us, give updates & thank us for our patience. He firs let us know the kitchen had burned part of my meal, so he sent it back to have them remake it and kept checking on it's progress. He finally had to get the manager involved, who went back and "lit a fire under them". I had the chicken cavatappi with spinach and artichokes it was pretty good and I'd order it again. Horrible experience. During business travels Applebee's is usually a go to since its locations are close to most hotels. This Applebee's however had the worst service I have ever experienced. The servers were too busy talking with each other to notice the dirty tables and customers needs. Our food was very slow and overheated. The server said the classic line when your food sits under the heat lamp forever "careful the plate is hot". Our beverages sat empty throughout our meal. I took our two empty soda cups to the bartender to get a refill. Then asked for a manager who had walked by our table four times while our cups sat empty. He said sorry we are busy. The best thing about Applebee's are the specials on appetizers in the bar after 3pm, pretty cheap, that's about it though. I've thawed-out & baked just as good of chicken strips as they've thawed-out & baked. The next time you think you want to go here, go to the store, pickup a frozen dinner entree, say a Healthy Choice or something & have that for dinner. Not sure why the reviews are so bad. We showed up as a group of 10 and we're immediately helped by 3 employees. Cody was our server and that man is incredible. He was patient with our big group, offered suggestions and was incredibly thorough! He deserves a raise. Javier brought us all our drinks (beer, wine, margaritas) and they were all perfect!! Pick up order. I ordered an order for pick up and when I arrived it wasn't ready yet. (Not a big deal) even though I ordered it over the phone while in Lapwai got ready and left to pick it up. While I waited for the food I ordered I stood where you pick up food right by the kitchen and the workers were cussing at each other and throwing food at each other. This place treats their employees like garbage and lets the employees bully others. They are incredibly unprofessional and the food is subpar at best, even for an Applebee's. I put this restaurant in the "hit or miss" category. Sometimes it's quite good and other times, like two nights ago, it was not so good. Depends on who's cooking? Maybe. I had a fantastic burger there a few weeks ago. However, we ate there recently and my daughter ordered the chicken alfredo pasta bowl. She said it was dry and really tasteless. My chicken lime dish was ok, chicken tough and kind of rubbery though. Like I said, it's hit and miss. The drinks are consistently good though. I went with several companions during 1/2 price appetizers. I verified with the server that the apps were indeed half-price and we placed our order. It was only after we had left the restaurant that I discovered she hadn't given me the discount. When I returned, I was told that the appetizer sampler was NOT included in the daily special. She got the tabletop card and pointed to the 4-point type at the bottom of the menu (white on black) that showed the exclusion. I pointed out to her that I'd asked about the special and then we had immediately placed our order from the appetizer menu and she hadn't said a word. She said, "Let me get my manager." After some discussion, he agreed to honor the discount "just this one time." Since I had already paid for the entire order using my debit card, he asked for it back so he could resolve the difference. Instead, he ran the entire total again and gave the server another receipt for me to sign. I pointed out that I didn't have a return receipt, which the bank requires in order to honor the return. She said they didn't even have such a thing. I asked her to get the manager again, but he never returned. After sitting there another 10 minutes, I asked the hostess to have him sign the first receipt, indicating it was a returned amount. All I got was an illegible scrawl across the receipt. When I returned home, I checked my bank account online. Sure enough, both totals are shown in the pending column. It's been my experience that returns on a debit card can sometimes take up to 30 days to reappear, so basically they have more than double the amount of my money and I don't know when I'm going to get it back. As for the food, it was just OK, though overly salty and pretty skimpy for what I paid. read more

A group of four of us arrived late afternoon for dinner. There were maybe four or five other tables taken at the restaurant when we were seated. The host, was off putting. He briskly grabbed menus and silverware and showed us to our table, dropping the silverware and the menus onto the table with a loud clang and walking away. The wait for our order to be taken was near 10 minutes. The blonde haired waitress was nice enough but didn't seem to recall what was on happy hour or exactly how much anything cost. We weren't given a happy hour menu. The wait for the food was a very long time, probably close to 30 minutes. There was steak ordered. I had asked for a dish without cilantro, the waitress said it could be done, and it arrived with it. The waitress said they tried to pick it out as best they could. We deduced the cilantro was in the cabbage mix, so the dish was sent back and the problem rectified. The food was typical chain food. The bill came, we paid separately. I'm pretty sure three of my party tipped pretty low as the service was lacking. I tipped a little over 20%, three dollars. I kept my receipt as I didn't have a good feeling about the transaction. When I received my credit card bill they had charged me for a five dollar tip. We were a flight crew on our overnight so I don't live in town. I called and spoke with the manager. He said he'd look into the matter and call me back. The next day I hadn't heard anything so I called and asked again for the manager. It was a different guy and he said the first guy was off and that I would get a call the next day. I did receive my call the next day and was told the tickets had been mixed up, 12.21 vs 12.51 which was makes no sense but I would be refunded my two dollars. One other of my party was charged correctly. I am still waiting for my refund. It's been almost a week. read more
