For starters we arrived at the location, we were seated and given menus everything seems fine but our order for drinks was not taken upon seating. We waited around for over 12 minutes and our order for DRINKS was still not taken. A table in front of us with 2 senior citizens was also waiting for their food for over half an hour (as they mentioned to us). Finally they asked to speak to manager and when manager arrived all she could say was "sorry" to our table and the table in front of us. Management needs to hold a heavier hand on the serving team as we noticed the host along with 2-3 other servers were only yapping in the entrance while we were just waiting there for service. Once we ordered our drinks the server has the audacity to mess up on our drinks and give my child the wrong one, we requested a replacement for it which we got. I have been here many,many times. You see there are limited places here in Beaumont to eat and drink. Nothing beats Applebee's happy hour specials. Happy hour 3-6pm and 9pm-closing in the bar area. I can come here and eat and drink on the cheap! Get the happy hour apps and some ICE cold beers and you're all set. I enjoy their boneless "wings" and the spinach dip. I was really looking forward to this dinner as my husband was out of town for work this week. Also I had not been to Applebee's since moving from OC. I understand everyone is doing their best during Covid19 but we arrived at the restaurant quarter to 5 and got seated towards a back corner but we didn't mind it since we have our 3 year old and 8 month old and it is helpful sitting not in the way. What my problem is that we got our appetizers and then our waiter didn't come back until 5:05 no problem but we missed the "happy hour". Ok bygones be bygones we aren't worried about paying 15 for a burger instead of 7. We placed our order and were kind of left there while tables who came after us placed their orders and we saw the staff come and go. Not once did they let us know our food was on the way or even checked if we needed something. My husband was very noticeable grumpy face and our waiter did ask if we needed more water and coffee. We said yes he came back and still no update on the food. As he was passing by to help another table we finally asked for our food to go. The kiddos, husband and I had gotten impatient. It could just be the hangry mood we can get into but it felt pretty bad seeing everyone else get waited. To add to the insult the table infront of us ordered chicken tenders and fries. My son was heart broken that it wasn't for him. An hour later 5:40 we finally got our food and drove home. This was today, 3/25/22 at 5:17p. TB#514. I got bacon cheddar chicken sandwich. It was so cold, I don't know when it was made. Cheese was congealed and hard. I had to remove the bun, I couldn't bite into it. The fries were equally cold. You couldn't find even a drop of heat vapor in the bag. It was that cold. Traveling across on Highway 10 we needed a break. We stopped here mostly just to get out of the car for an hour or so. I did not expect the good food and good service we received. There is a very large parking area, and once we entered we were seated right away. The place was clean and the people were friendly and helpful. The TVs had some college football, it was not loud or rowdy at all. We ordered coffee and a large sampler appetizer platter. The platter had all kinds of fried stuff. I ordered chicken nuggets with fries. All of our food was good but honestly it was too much fried stuff. There was no food that went uneaten. The staff kept coffee refilled. Absolutely horrid and a joke of an establishment. Over 40 minutes to wait for an appetizer like how is that possible it's an appetizer not an actual meal. My wife and I ate at Applebee's for Veteran's day. I think they are slightly underrated. However, during our visit, they had an unruly customer who was yelling with profanity laced comments. I believe the manager could have done better at ending the behavior or ejecting the customer. When we complained and asked for police to be summoned, we were told that the diner would be leaving soon as their bill had been paid. Just ew!!! The floors were dirty !! Dirty masks on the floor junk on the floor as well! This place is just no worthy to eat. We ordered chicken and waited half an hour and the waitress kept saying it will be served soon, then another twenty minutes she came to us saying they didn't have chicken and they had to defrost it! I keep trying to give this Applebee's a chance because it is the only one near Beaumont, but most of the times they fail me. I usually eat in the bar. I have had good experiences, but more bad then good. Most of the employees in the bar area have this culture of preferential treatment. A lot of their customers are non-black, and they go out of their way to make sure they are happy and get the attention they need if there was a choice between Black or non-black customers. Example: They will keep going to their table and check on them and bypass someone like me, they hold conversations with the other customers while I am just waiting. They will forget my drink order while making sure everyone else is ok. I wish they would just treat everyone equally. I'm not trying to be funny, but the two black young ladies that work there are always on it. They treat all the customers like they are important. Their service is exceptional towards everyone no matter their color, creed, etc. Another issue on my recent visit was the bartender was serving all tables in the bar, and everyone was not receiving proper service, meaning drinks, attentiveness, and someone checking on them to make sure they were ok. Meanwhile, there was very few servers in the dining room, and one server had just about the entire dining room. This is a small community and this Applebee's really needs to do better. The preferential treatment is definitely going to be a serious issue one day of these days if it already hasn't. A free meal just isn't going to cut it. Ireally need to contact corporate and stop giving them chances and wasting money at this establishment. The food is good if you pick the more expensive entrees. The service sucks, and most of the management staff are so nonchalant about it. read more

I have never been to an Applebee's that was this friendly and fast. Most of the Applebee's I've been to where I have lived were NOT good, but this one in particular was fantastic! Great service, friendly workers, and the food came out so fast and tasted great! Aaron was our server and he deserves a lot more than 5 stars.
