I want to share an abbreviated form of this letter I sent to Erik who is an excellent home…read moreinspector. He deserves this review! I hope it brings him much business! Erik, Thank you so much for coming out quickly! I was so concerned about the problems that were found in our roof after Savage Roofing made even errors that I could see when replacing our roof. I'm relieved no decking looks like it needs to be changed. I'm also glad that you only found two sections that need to be replaced unless your photos that you took reveal something more in your report tonight. I was really impressed with your drone technology. I'm also very impressed that you came out within 18 hours after my husband spoke with you. I was so scared after the mess the left behind by the roofers that we're still cleaning up from even after one month of me picking up many more nails. Thank goodness that it looks like they don't have to replace big sections of the roof! I'm glad you found the sections that need to be redone! I thought, what in the world has been has been done to my roof that I can't see after the roofers left when it was pitch black outside. Time was of the essence to get your report before the roofers come back on Friday. Within 18 hours you were here! I appreciate your exceptional communication and detailed inspection. All this I will convey on Facebook and Google with 5/5 stars for you! I appreciate too you giving a fair price for the inspection! Thank you again so very much, Sarah and Tom

The estimate came in way over our budget; however David assured us that the work would be high quality, and that he wanted to take pictures of the finished work to show future clients. We decided to go with him. David and his assistant finished up in mid January2024. The work was not quality at all, David really dropped the ball with this job. We definitely would not refer David McMaster's for any work. The areas that are sub-par at best are the new doors, new glass block window, hard wood flooring, and all of the paint work. We also had complaints from the tenants about the big mess that was made and not cleaned up, transporting debris from the unit to the garbage cans. If considering hiring this company, please ask David about the Exchange St, remodel. We are still waiting on him to return the keys.

Bob was efficient, responsive, and seemed deeply knowledgeable about everything I asked a question…read moreabout. His report, delivered promptly less than 24 hours after our walkthrough, was almost absurdly detailed; and he made it very clear that he'd be personally available in the following months if I had any questions about my new home. (Although I haven't taken him up on it yet, this seems like the real value!) The actual inspection process did not feel at all rushed; he took his time in answering my questions, and seemed thorough in checking over things. That was my biggest concern going in (ending up with a large company who's employee/subcontractor had other inspections scheduled the same day; and having someone miss things because they were in a rush.) The nature of the work does make it a bit hard to review a home-inspector on anything other than 'vibes' in the short-term (until I find something he missed; or something he pointed out turns out to be somehow unexpectedly *wrong*, well ... his entire job is to notice things I *don't* notice. And he did a lot of that.) That said, I cannot recommend him highly enough, at least on his promptness, apparent knowledgeably, and frank needs-focused explanations/answers to all of my questions.
