My dad passed away early Aug 2024. He was a customer of this company. When they picked up his tank it still had propane in it and they said we were due a refund, to call the office. I sent all required documents via mail as requested and today is March 17, 2025, and still no refund check. I've heard every excuse in the world from "I had a stroke" to "I've been so busy" to " I just forgot". I bet they don't forget if you owe them. read more

Moved to the area Jan 2016 into a house that had not been lived in full time for almost 10 years. Property had an empty 1000 gallon tank. Called around and got a good price from Appalachian Propane. Two fellows came out that day, checked the tank, checked the house, started all the pilot lights, got the heater running and said welcome to Ellijay. They just called me (7/15/2019) and said prices were way down, they would be in my area and would I like to top up the tank. Good service, good prices. read more

I called in the morning informing that I was out of propane gas. Before 3pm that same day the truck was in the driveway and had filled my truck. the man who serviced the propane was very polite and answered all my questions. He did a superb job. read more

I moved into a house where there was a 500 gallon tank on site and it was an Appalachian propane tank so i went ahead and went with that company since they were only charging me 36 dollars a year for tank rental and Appalachian was charging 78.The first time i needed propane the driver used my driveway and had to go through my garden with the hose and broke somethings so i asked him why didn't he pull from the street(it was a straight shot to the tank and the same distance)and he said he didn't have enough hose so i called the office to make sure he used the street next time so he did and backed into my yard and left tire marks on my lawn i let that go.So i get a flier in the mail from another company offering a really sweet deal so i decided to go with them,i called Appalachian to have there tank removed and they said since it had 28% there would be a 75 dollar pump out fee and a 50 dollar pick up fee so i went over my lease agreement and nowhere did it say i had to pay those fees so i called the company and they drooped the pump out fee to 50 dollars and they sent me a check for the difference. read more
