I took my dog in for the first time a couple months ago. The girl who took my information and…read moregroomed my dog was nice and did a good job. We set up another appointment for 2 weeks. I ended up having to be out of town the week of the appointment, so I called several days in advance. Canceled the appointment and rescheduled for the next week, asking to be put on the same groomers schedule. When we showed up for the appointment and I told the girl who came out front who we were there to see. She told me she wasn't there that day. Asked, if she could do my dog? A little hesitant, I said sure. She takes him on his leash to the back. My dog is 80lbs. She passed by large kennels on the left and walked him down to more medium sized kennels. He didn't want to go in, so of course she had to kind of force him in. Not hurting him or anything. She came back out not saying anything. I asked if she wanted my phone number? She said, we usually have a card. Well, she didn't even know my name. I asked if she wanted me to write my info down? She reached over and grabbed a business card and asked me to write it down. After doing so, I left. Feeling unsettled, most of them down there don't seem very friendly, the place doesn't feel welcoming and they don't really seem crazy about the dogs. Like most dog people anyway. As I was pulling out of the parking lot, questioning myself on whether I was being overly sensitive or critical? Pulled out into the road, turned and went right back. Went in. Another girl came out front. I told her I just wanted to pick up my dog. She asked if I was sure? I replied, yes. She brought him out and I told her the kennel they had put him in was way too small for him and it bothered me. She replied, well, that's the ones we use for our bigger dogs. That was it... No further discussion. I was not rude or unkind when telling her my feelings. We left, the end. No warm and fuzzies here. Communication is very poor here all the way around. Whether trying to reach them on the phone or get a call back. Or in person. I've waited a few weeks to write this hoping maybe they would reach back out to me. Honestly, for whatever reason they just don't really care about customer service. Would not refer anyone there.

This place is great. And the bougie services aren't tongue-in-cheek, they will SPOIL your dog…read more Listen, when the Pembroke Welsh Corgi needs fluffed and buffed and to have his little fancy "feathers" trimmed, this is the place. Do you have a rogue Corgi, too? One that comes in late, paws all grubby, smelling like he confuse about whether to pursue his dreams of being a dirty hippie reeking of [GASP] patchouli or one who likes industrial house music and cheap designer pharmaceuticals, legs shaky from dancing to jam bands all night? Just confused about the direction in his life and existentially stuck? ZS4P is the place to get him back on the bougie track. I mean, sometimes a fluffy feller just needs to feel better about himself and nothing will do except a nice pedi-pedi and a day at the spa, complete with a chilled bottle of Dog-Perignon, a warm washcloth, and little cucumber slices to help address the swelling and boogers in the corners of his eyes. He comes home feeling like a million bucks, but it takes a day or two to get him used to the idea that he'd just one dog in this large pack, and he's not running for office. I bumped into another fancy DogDad with a Yorkie. We didn't look the parts, but our dogs will. The Corgi doesn't wear white after Labor Day, takes his afternoon tea with crumpets, calls cookies "crackers," thinks that Massachusetts is a cheeky colony, and always always makes an appointment ahead of time for his spa day. Don't be a "walk-in," get your pooch an appointment and remember to to your Groomer.
