When I was recommended this shop from a friend I was a bit skeptical after my experience with JJ…read moreGames. He swore up and down the vibe was good and it wasn't weird like some other stores. I decided to give this place a chance since what's the worst that could happen. My first experience I was stunned by how much nicer this place looked. They seemed to truly wanna display themselves as a nice place to hang out or even pop in if you're not that interested in cards and such. They have so many shelves of card on display which hits you like a truck with how much is available just on display here. They even up the experience by charging 5% below market which they usually look up in front of you so you don't feel cheated. The only reason this place has lost one star from me is on my first visit I was given attitude for no reason. I tried to ask how much two cards were to see if I should buy now or wait til I can justify it. The first they answered normally like anyone would can't say it was rude or nice just plain. The second card which I was set on buying was worth 200 ish dollars. When I asked to get an estimate of how much they were charging the employee scoffed at me and said 200 and walked off. Ok? If I'm asking about this card I'm clearly interested in buying, to scoff and walk away as i'm mid trying to get an estimate for how much I'm spending is crazy. Whatever I said I'll just buy it elsewhere just in case they make commission I'm not giving it to him for how he reacted. And the employees were loudly bragging about arguing with people which I get some customers deserve it. But I just got here I haven't been rude I simply asked a couple questions. We got a couple cards and we were handed them and sent on our way. Later on I returned as my friend had wanted to get something he didn't get the chance to buy since we were on limited time.. The employee who helped us this time around was incredibly nice and helpful. He listed prices and explained to us why it's that much with their 5% below market. He got us top loaders and put the cards in for us even if they weren't the most expensive. Extremely nice person showed us around answered questions and even asked other employees for information if he didn't have it readily available. This employee alone raised their review from a 2-3 to a 4 which would've been a 5 without my prior experience. So far this is my favorite store in the area but with that first experience had it not been for my friend I doubt I would've returned.

This is a great place to start playing Pokemon TCG in person with your kids. The only problem is that sometimes the tournament goes too long for kids...we played from 4:30 until about 10:30pm in the last tournament.

His personality is blunt and comes off as crass but he means well. His style of humor is raunchy in combination with an assertive personality that may come off as rude to some. The store itself is simple and somewhat bones but if you're a magic the gathering player this store is a great option to stop by. They have hundreds of thousands of cards for fair prices and offer decent discounts on top of it. While they have other card games, magic is what they specialize in. The store prides itself on having a personal relationship with its customers to the best of its ability. The setup is plain and doesn't leave much for the imagination but has more than what it needs for people to have tabletop games and hangout. Fridays and Saturdays are their busiest days and they are open both Christmas and Thanksgiving.

If you're looking for someone to blow their top the minute they think you are being disrespectful, he's your man. Not only that, but this individual will get in your face and make it appear his intentions are to physically harm you. For someone who is ex-military (him), he should know what professionalism is. No owner should ever act like this, even in the face of diversity. This is someone I would highly deter people from interacting with. He may be nice on the surface, but I can tell you from experience, he is a ticking time bomb. He should not even be a business owner. Now let's move onto their profit margin. If you're looking to get swindled, this is the place for you. If you are looking to get greatly undercut if you have something to sell, this is the place for you. If you are looking for particular cards, then plan on paying 3-10% than most shops in this city or online. Most businesses have a profit margin between 30-35%. This particular business has a profit margin close to 80%. They do not care what the card is, as I was told in person, they are only offering half a penny per card, because that is what the market dictates according to them. See the problem? It's sheer greed. I did ponder about reporting this to the BBB, SEC, FTC, and the attorney general for Colorado, simply because this place needs to close. I do not blame the other staff members, they kept to themselves. It's the owner that is the big concern.
