This place is 5 stars all day!…read more I found this card shop online when I realized I had some Pokémon cards that had a value. I was given a great offer for about 18-20 very select mint Pokemon cards (out of 500 or so), that I had been hanging onto for years. I had no idea about the world of card collecting, trading, or gaming. The atmosphere is so warm and chill, the employees are crazy card experts, and have been so kind, honest, and amazing in their feedback and pricing of my cards. Other stores in the Springs are also informative, they have folding chairs and folding tables (instead of the luxury tables/chairs at Iron Lion), but they honestly don't even come close to Iron Lion!!

Definitely interested in trying it out.

They're very helpful when looking for Magic cards; I've come in with a list and they helped me look through boxes themselves, even for commons. The pre-release events are top notch and well managed. It's how they handled that situation that will keep me coming back for a long time. Would recommend.

They have good variety and super reasonable prices if you're looking for cards or hobby items, sometimes they even do giveaways! All the staff are super friendly and give tips about the games when they can. I go to commander nights on fridays whenever i'm able, and If I can find a group I always have a great time, otherwise I just browse and the guy behind the counter is always very polite (even when I do like 5 seperate transactions. sorry!). This shop seems to have a really healthy Tournament community, and I can tell because there's usually more people playing CEDH than casual, which is unfortunate because I often can't find anyone to play casually with. Most of the folks who come here seem to be small groups of friends and family, so they tend to make their own pods which fill up very quickly. Unless you arrive early, find a seat, and finish your browsing before about 5:30, its likely you won't find a casual game. I haven't come on other nights yet, partly because the calendar on their website either doesn't function or doesn't get updated, so you have to check their social media to see what's happening, but im not sure if that gets updated because I deleted mine. Overall, a great little community, but unless you can bring a couple of your own friends or you can arrive early every time, this isn't the best shop for casual MTG.

To start, perhaps some clarity on the customer service/staff at the store. "Ogre", was the person…read morewe met when we arrived. His personality is blunt and comes off as crass but he means well. His style of humor is raunchy in combination with an assertive personality that may come off as rude to some. The store itself is simple and somewhat bones but if you're a magic the gathering player this store is a great option to stop by. They have hundreds of thousands of cards for fair prices and offer decent discounts on top of it. While they have other card games, magic is what they specialize in. The store prides itself on having a personal relationship with its customers to the best of its ability. The setup is plain and doesn't leave much for the imagination but has more than what it needs for people to have tabletop games and hangout. Fridays and Saturdays are their busiest days and they are open both Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Let's start with the owner. If you are looking to be talked down to, he's your man. If you're…read morelooking to be treated in a manner that you know absolutely nothing, he's your man. If you're looking for someone to blow their top the minute they think you are being disrespectful, he's your man. Not only that, but this individual will get in your face and make it appear his intentions are to physically harm you. For someone who is ex-military (him), he should know what professionalism is. No owner should ever act like this, even in the face of diversity. This is someone I would highly deter people from interacting with. He may be nice on the surface, but I can tell you from experience, he is a ticking time bomb. He should not even be a business owner. Now let's move onto their profit margin. If you're looking to get swindled, this is the place for you. If you are looking to get greatly undercut if you have something to sell, this is the place for you. If you are looking for particular cards, then plan on paying 3-10% than most shops in this city or online. Most businesses have a profit margin between 30-35%. This particular business has a profit margin close to 80%. They do not care what the card is, as I was told in person, they are only offering half a penny per card, because that is what the market dictates according to them. See the problem? It's sheer greed. I did ponder about reporting this to the BBB, SEC, FTC, and the attorney general for Colorado, simply because this place needs to close. I do not blame the other staff members, they kept to themselves. It's the owner that is the big concern.
