A small little French grocer that was right outside my hotel. The selection is not as big, but it…read morewas convenient for us to just pop down for things we didn't have. We only really used this grocer toward the beginning of the trip when we weren't yet familiar with our surroundings. If you venture out about 5 minutes, there's a large Carrefour Market with better selection. They have most things a groceries store would carry, just less selection; fruits, cereal, cookies, bread, cheese, milk, laundry detergent, snacks etc.
Funny note:
I went to the 8 à Huit after having gone to pick up a coffee from McDonald's. I put down my coffee cup to get money, and the cashier/owner picked up my cup and tried to scan it, and then consequently spilled half my coffee. I guess it was more frustrating than anything - have you seen me without my morning caffeine fix? Not pretty!
