Location: Rancho Santa Margarita We originally started a master bedroom, bathroom and laundry room project with Tony and the Apex team. We then added on full kitchen remodel and multiple other various upgrades throughout the house. The process of selecting materials and designing the spaces with Tony at the Apex showroom made things so convienant and stress free! They had tons of options, pictures, great suggestions and advice to offer. Throughout the whole process Tony was friendly and flexible as I would add on more items or make changes. He was great at communicating timelines and next steps with me. The Apex crews were also just as great! I work from home and they were always very polite to me and considerate or my time. His tile guys and paint guys were extra top notch, with great detail to quality in their work. Construction is never the funnest thing to go through but with Tony and Apex crew it was as stress free as it could be and the end results are beautiful! My friends all tease that our house looks like a fancy hotel now and our bathroom is a spa. Thank you Tony and the Apex crew! Before and after pics for reference.

I worked with Tony, the manager from Apex to remodel FOUR different bathrooms in our home. Tony is really an "at your service" type of guy, and truly cares about meeting the needs of his customers from start to finish. He himself was ALWAYS punctual to any of our meetings to plan and was incredibly friendly to work with. All of Apex's workers gave A+ execution every step of the way. Plumbers, tilers, painters, and fabricators were all top notch. I have not one negative thing to say about any of them because even if there was the slightest snag, it was taken care of in a blink of an eye, no questions asked! Remodeling can be fun but also stressful, but they truly do everything they can to make it as painless as possible. In all, I would 100% trust and recommend them to friends and family for any kitchen or bath project. Thank you Tony, Ben, and everyone who helped us over the past year

The challenging aspect about this project was finding the right general contractor. After researching multiple GCs, we chose Ben. We had peace of mind knowing that he had a showroom and an office, quality materials, and most of all he was quick to respond to all of our questions and concerns. Lastly, it wasn't just Ben. His team of subcontractors from teardown crew, plumbing, electricians, cabinet, countertop, and flooring guys were timely and also addressed our questions. His guys have been working with Ben for years and you can see the open communication within themselves. If we had future projects, no doubt we will use Ben again.

Before and after: New tub, shower head/fixtures, replace fixed sliding door with fixed rod, add recessed cubby

I had KBF do a partial remodel of the master bath. Ben offered a fair price and plenty of options for tiling. The timeline matched the estimates. He responded to my questions in a timely manner. Be sure to make your expectations clear regarding design choices and what prep material can and cannot stay up between work days. In the end the workmanship was of high quality and I will keep KBF on the short list for any future contracts. Highly recommended.

We hired Ben to do all new flooring in our downstairs, a complete remodel of our guest bathroom, a new fireplace, and a complete kitchen remodel. From start to finish Ben and his crew were terrific ! He is very responsive when you have questions or concerns, which for me was very important! We could not be happier with the finished job. Check out our before and after pix ! I highly recommend Ben for any remodeling job!

As a commercial construction manager, I highly recommend Preferred Kitchen & Bath. They recently…read morefinished our complete kitchen remodel on time (12 weeks) and on budget. Key Highlights: Design: Their 3D rendering service ($200, credited back later) is a great way to "see" your kitchen before committing. Communication: Suzy Sparks kept us updated weekly, making the process stress-free. Accountability: We noticed a minor mistake in the backsplash after the project was finished. PK&B had the sub return and fix it immediately. In construction, mistakes happen--it's how a company fixes them that matters, and PK&B's integrity is top-tier. Fairness: Change orders for unforeseen plumbing issues were handled reasonably. Plus, Julie's builder's discount on appliances saved us a significant amount of money. Thank you, Julie, Suzy, and Team. We love the final result and will definitely use your services again!

Our designer Suzy was outstanding in guiding through the six-month project. Our general contractor Dereck had great communication skills and made sure tasks were being accomplished every weekday as well as occasional weekends. At the end of the day our home was always left as neat and tidy as anyone could expect. The quality of the work by all of the subcontractors was truly incredible. When occasional minor hiccups occurred, they were handled immediately and professionally. I would recommend Preferred Kitchen and Bath to anyone considering a remodeling project. They also have a great website showing past remodeling projects and explaining their business philosophy.

We're in the middle of moving into and remodeling/ renovating our home. The house has beautiful…read morehard wood and stone floors but the bedrooms, closets, stairs and this kind of funky, stand alone, third floor room have such gross old carpeting in them. So our first plan of action is obviously getting rid of the carpet flooring and putting wood flooring in the rooms and marble in the closets. The funky room isn't fully enclosed and has pony walls going around the front half of it that overlook part of the house- mainly the living room- we had the idea of turning this into a playroom for our little one and really wanted to get it done by his birthday- problem we had less than a week to get everything done. We found G&A flooring- called- spoke to Brandon and told him our situation, he said okay hold on let me call you right back- he moved some stuff around- we went in the following day found a gorgeous light natural colored wood flooring that even had the slightly knotted look I wanted and two days before our little one's birthday they'd installed the wood flooring and they did an AMAZING job! The team he sent literally stayed from morning until almost 8pm to finish the job including new baseboards and painting them. We have now used them to do another room in the house, redo a staircase landing where a mini demo had to happen because of a leak and the guys who did the demo absolutely destroyed the wood flooring- we found 5 XL planks in our garage left over of the original flooring and G&As guys cut these to a T, without even a scrap left and did an AMAZING job at putting the floor back together and making it look like nothing had happened. They also just laid the marble down in both master bedroom closets and omg the difference it's made. They are EXTREMELY fair priced I cannot tell you how many joke companies have come in seen our home and tried to absolutely rob us- telling us the wood they're using is the highest quality stuff in "the game" right now and with installation and the rush installment they could do a room for $15,000. LMAO. I told this to Brandon and he not only told me the flooring they were trying to install was basically shit but he can install actual high quality wood done at unbelievably fair pricing- $2,000 for everything- materials, flooring, new baseboards and painting them, labor- everything. Four other companies with the same product gave us bids ranging between $3,900-$7,000 and then the obvious psycho with his crap material and his $15,000 bid lol Brandon also goes the extra mile with his clients-since Marble is one of the most expensive floorings to have done, he came out to our home a few days before the job and measured the areas to a T to make sure he didn't order a box over what we needed to keep the price as low as possible. We'll never not go to this company and this is after going to 11 different companies altogether in the area. G&A always has the most competitive/ fairest pricing, beautiful flooring (what we're looking for every time!) and gets jobs done within a week tops (usually only a few days) of having chosen the flooring. G&As teams that do the installations are also all amazing guys, hard workers, very respectful, extremely knowledgeable and they even fixed a door frame for us today free of charge. Absolutely recommend these guys and looking forward to them finishing the rest of our house. Thank you for everything!

US Kitchen and Flooring

Sam, one of the owners, gave me reasonable quotes (I got more than one to compare). He was friendly and patient. Their work was of the highest quality and on time. I had him re-carpet my floors; install laminate in my kitchen, family room and hallway; and replace my old tile counter with quartz (It's beautiful!!!). The workers were professional, paid attention to detail, and cleaned up well when they finished. I would highly recommend this business for any home upgrade.

I strongly dislike giving reviews lower than three stars. Unfortunately, I cannot give more than…read moretwo stars here, and I should only give 1 star-. My experience with Joe, the manager who handled most of the communication, was terrible. In my opinion, he did not have enough hands-on construction knowledge to properly manage a remodel. He seemed to rely almost entirely on what his employees or subcontractors told him, even when they were wrong. When I pointed out mistakes, he often pushed back, blamed me, or tried to make me pay to fix issues caused by his own crew. A few examples: -We specified grout colors, and they used them on the wrong tiles and areas. -The wrong sinks were ordered. -The wrong faucets were ordered. -The wrong tiles were ordered. -The wrong counter top was delivered. -Kitchen cabinets were faulty and installed improperly. -They promised one type of flooring, then delivered something completely different, including a different color, and installed it incorrectly. -They tried to conceal faulty piping inside my walls. Had I not walked in unexpectedly, I would never have seen it. -They poured a foundation for a small extension without making it deep enough or installing a moisture barrier. We now have tiles showing signs of moisture damage. -They did not repaint several rooms. They cleaned the walls and then claimed the rooms had been painted. -The electrician made serious mistakes, including issues that almost caused a fire in my house. The overall pattern was simple: -They made mistakes. -I had to catch the mistakes. -Joe often tried to shift blame. -They tried to charge me to fix problems they caused. I also felt like Joe tried to take advantage of me financially. He handwrote the quote and invoice, and I trusted that the items we discussed would be handled as agreed. Later, he tried to back away from what had been discussed and claimed certain items were not included. Only after I involved the owner did Joe back down and admit he had made a mistake. There were also major management and communication problems: -Joe is not the contractor who owns the business. -From what I saw, there was no professional contractor consistently supervising the crew. -Joe would come by occasionally, look around, speak with the crew, and leave. -The crew often seemed confused about what needed to be done. -Communication between Joe and the crew appeared poor, which caused constant errors. The crew was also a revolving door. Different people came on different days. One person would start the flooring, and others would come later to finish it. The same thing happened with tile, plumbing, electrical work, and other parts of the project. Each time someone new showed up, they seemed to have little or no idea what had been agreed to. Joe also asked personal questions that made us uncomfortable, including: -Where are you from? -What do you do? -Can I see your cars? -"Wow, you went to that restaurant? It's very expensive." -"This was an expensive house. You must be very rich." That felt inappropriate and uncomfortable. Overall, this was a nightmare experience. Never again. The only reason I am giving two stars is that they finished quickly, and by the end, I was simply relieved to have them gone.
