If you find yourself in Brussels, I recommend that you catch a game here at the stadium, which is one of the better ones in this not-very-big country. The stadium holds just over 28,000 fans but a few thousand less for European games. Anderlecht played in the Champions this season and are often in the Europa League. The stadium opened way back in 1917 but had been renovated in the 1980s and is very modern today.
One problem is parking. The place has no parking for fans so you have to park on the streets. The Anderlecht city council takes advantage of this and tend to hand out tickets for illegal parking, which the car owner doesn't know is illegal. I parked a dozen blocks or so from the stadium one time (I have been there 25+ times for games), looked around and saw that the other cars had no parking permits or paid tickets, nor did I see a machine to pay for parking. When I got back, yep, I had a ticket. In this case, if you drive, the best bet is to park at the shopping center that is about a 10 minute walk from the stadium. There is plenty of parking there and the cars are safe. There is also a nearby metro line.
