Individual employees are, for the most part, committed to their jobs. For that, as the family of a resident, we are grateful. However, SV seriously lacks cohesion as clients are promised and redirected frequently. There's no single chain of command you can follow when meds aren't dispersed (on time or at all), the doctor doesn't show, appointments gets rescheduled, allergies are ignored, etc. It's understandably difficult to run a facility of this size but when you commit, you need to commit wholeheartedly to the needs of a clientele who will not or cannot speak for themselves. It's been our experience that SV is a place where employees redirect, rather than act, when an issue occurs. Often, because they don't know how to make things right. Remedy: Hire a client care coordinator or team who is available, responsible, and has the authority to act when something goes wrong or doesn't happen. Document it and work to make sure it doesn't reoccur. This way, you truly partner with those of us who don't know who to contact, or constantly have to address the same issue. If this person or team exists, let's hear about who he/she/they are. SV has wonderful employees in place to serve the clientel. Management now needs to make themselves known and take further steps to lead the masses. Thanks.

I used to work for a company that employed thousands of chiropractors and dr T exceeds all of the ones I saw there's practices by miles. He incorporates corrective chiropractic in which they also offer massage therapy and physical therapy as part of your treatment. This allows for you to correct the problems instead of just getting adjustments over and over again to no avail because things stay out of alignment. Muscle work and PT is essential to allow for new muscle memory to hold alignments in place the way your body was meant to be. Dr T and his team do just that. I highly recommend. Having her return home was no longer an option; which led me to quickly get to up to speed on senior living options,mostly on my own. I found her a place & moved her in all before her release. While I ensured her safety, I second guessed my decisions as she vocally struggled to adjust; it was a lot of change particularly for someone who rarely left her home. Almost 6 months in, a different set of doubts & worries took over. Did I make the right call, could she live somewhere more affordable, would she outlive her money, etc. I don't even recall what search term led me to Senior Living Experts, but I'm grateful. Rebecca listened to my story and made me feel less alone. She thought where my mom was at was the best option in terms of cost, desired location and care needs addressed, but would do the research and circle back. We also discussed the care she received currently and provided a few suggestions. As promised, Rebecca followed up and confirmed her initial assessment. We were assigned Emily as our case manager and she was great to work with. However, we interacted the most with Grace who was on-call at the time we engaged them and helped my Dad a good bit during his last couple of days. Grace was super patient with us when we asked lots of questions about his care and hospice in general. LifeChoice also provided a rabbi for us and I think my father really appreciated that the rabbi visited with him for over an hour. I think they provided my father a lot of peace and comfort during his final days. My only regret was not engaging them sooner. Their whole demeanor and attitude is that of angels, compassion, empathy, love..When he was in the hospital, he was not receiving the proper pain management, they kept delaying the hospitals hospice program while my dad was dying in pain. I was desperate to get him home. Alena, the administrator, moved mountains to make that happen. They got my dad home in less than 18 hours, they were by my father's bedside within two hours of me calling desperate for help, which felt like a miracle during such a difficult time. Daniel, the nurse who came to the hospital, was so attentive and caring such a such a genuine person. And once we were home, nurse Julie and nurse Grace took over and truly went above and beyond. They made sure the bed oxygen tanks supplies and meds was delivered before my dad even got home.They made sure my dad was comfortable, out of pain, and surrounded by dignity and respect--something he was not receiving in the hospital. there was also a Sweet CNA that came to help as well, Because of them, my dad was able to pass peacefully at home, just as he deserved. That means everything to me my father and our family. All of my father's friends and loyal family were able to come visit with him before he passed the next morning.. I highly recommend this hospice agency to anyone going through end-of-life care for a loved one--or even for themselves. Don't wait until the last minute.
