I stayed here for two nights during Blankenberge's busiest season. The service was good if not…read moreoverly friendly. Being in the Flemish part of Belgium, everyone speaks Dutch, German, French and English, all equally well. The location is extremely convenient being only a few minutes walk to the beach and directly at the Blankenberge Belgian Rail Station (Gare). It is directly off the main road into Blankenberge. The hotel is clean, neat and nicely appointed. They offer breakfast in the morning and have a small but comfortable lounge for drinks. Despite its location the noise level is quite low inside the hotel. The hotel provides a fruit snack, tea, coffee and a couple bottles of water for you. Blankenberge is also close to the Belgian port of Zeebruge and the fashionable city of Ostend. It's also only a fifteen minute drive from Bruges. One huge benefit of staying in Blankenberge over Ostend or Bruges is the price of everything is more reasonable, there are less people and the overall atmosphere is less touristy than the other cities. There is ample nightlife and if you want more you can either take the train or drive to Ostend or Bruges for just a few euros. One warning though, they don't have a parking lot or garage so you can attempt to find overnight street parking (good luck) or you can do what most guests do and park in the parking garage at the train station. It's twenty to thirty euros per night to park there so make sure you add that into your trip costs. When I'm back in this part of Belgium I'll happily stay here again.
